I didn't find a single thing to dislike here. The location is very clean and the staff are very nice. The Santorini bowl with a salmon swap was delicious. You can get three pieces of pita for free and there are lots of drink options. Bathroom is also extremely clean, which is very much appreciated in a place like that. If you're looking for the bathroom code, it's on top of the garbage can. We definitely recommend this location of Luna grill. read more

Service was super helpful and patient with us as it was our first time here and it certainly will not be our last period. The bowls were very good. I did a build your own bowl that I didn't like quite as much as a Santorini bowl but that's my mistake for putting in the combo of toppings that I asked for. Next time I will certainly try the Santorini bowl as well as their Gyro. Their fries were so good... The indoor area had plenty of seating. The bathrooms were very clean and the patio outdoor seating was adequate. It is a dog friendly patio as well. It's nice how they track all of the macros and protein for all of the menu items. What a pleasure to eat the food at Luna! We went there at 4:45 on a Monday afternoon and were surprised to find several people eating there at such an early hour. We ordered kebabs with two sides each and were doubly surprised when we were told, because we were seniors and it was between 2 and 5 pm, we were entitled to a 25% discount. This pertains to every day of the week! The young man taking our order was very kind, patient with our questions and went out of his way to show pictures of the sides so we could know what we were ordering. When the food arrived, it was so fresh looking and tasting! The chicken is really good, grilled and seasoned to perfection, the pita bread was warm, the hummus excellent. Along with that I had a salad with peaches in it that was quite creative. My husband had a steak kebab with very generous pieces of steak that he said were tender. Very recently, my wife (a student at UCSB) and I had dinner at the Luna Grill and thought it was terrific! The food quality was excellent, the service provided by Daniel and Simone was most professional and courteous, and the pricing was remarkably low for the value! We were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely return, and we are telling friends! As for Daniel and Simone, they went way out of their way to be helpful to us, which prompted us to ask for their names and provide this review. In this day and age, when you get really good food at a value price AND when the staff members go out of their way to be helpful, you want others to know! (P.S. my wife says the owners may wish to consider a location on or near UCSB campus so students, faculty and visitors have a better, healthier, more value-priced restaurant available to them) read more

Honestly... save your money…read more I dropped by this Jordanian restaurant /hookah lounge to chill for a bit, have a beer, and enjoy some hookah. It looked like a cool vibe from the outside, but the whole experience left me super disappointed. When I walked in, the place was empty--just the owner and two staff. No greeting, no welcome, just awkward silence while the owner stayed on the phone trying to fix what sounded like a billing issue. The staff didn't speak much English (which is fine), but there was no real effort to help or explain anything either. Eventually, I got a hookah and a beer--$48.50 for one hookah and one beer. Yeah... nearly $50. No food, no extras. That's wild. Then I was told I had to smoke outside on the back patio, which turned out to be a tiny little corner--maybe 6 by 10 feet--with uncomfortable chairs and a random wood bench. It took 15 minutes to even get the hookah (remember, no one else was there), and when it arrived, it was totally burnt. Overpacked, harsh hits, and I ended up having to scrape it and fix it myself just to get it to smoke right. Wanna know the kicker? You only get three coals. That's it. No refills unless you pay for more. No one checked on us for almost an hour, and when I finally asked for more coals, they said (in broken English and mostly Spanish) that that's all you get unless you pay extra. I've smoked hookah all over the place--three coals is nothing, especially when you're charging $35+. No one came around, no vibe, no music, no nothing. Just me, my burnt hookah, and a beer that wasn't even cold. I really tried to find something redeeming about this place, but nothing hit. The service wasn't there, the product wasn't good, and it honestly felt like I was bothering them just by being there. Bottom line: for $50, you can do way better just about anywhere else--or even at home. Hope they turn it around, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it.

The only issue that I'd like to point out, which isn't big but did bother me was that the water station that they offered didn't have any indication of which silver cups were clean and which were dirty. I asked a guy who was sitting next to it and he said, "Drink at your own risk." Also, if you're not a fan of little birds flying around during your meal, you might have an issue. They aren't scared of going around people. One jumped on our table and I had to move our drinks away. Aside from that, it was a solid meal and we still enjoyed ourselves!

I was just blown away with how tasty and juicy the food was! I loved the chicken and salmon, and the recommendation of Shug and Greek cabbage was just amazing from the cashier! It was very clean and the server Simone was very patient with us and answered all the questions we had about the food. I needed a fast dinner to feed my whole family plus grandma. I really didn't want to do hamburgers and typical kid food options. Luna Grill was the perfect spot. Everyone found something they loved- kids ate hummus, steak, rice, and pita. I thought the garlic lemon chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful. Our golf team loves Luna grill! Great healthy fuel for after practice. Sarinna and Angel have been there our last three visits and they are always kind and welcoming.
