Food is always great here! Very filling and good portion sizes. Usually a very quiet place, not super busy, always very clean. I wish they put more jalapeno in the hummus, it's not spicy at all. Other than that I've never had a bad experience. Their chicken is pretty good too! read more

I have consistently ordered from Hummus for years and usually use Uber Eats to have it delivered. I've only got a bad meal twice. Today was the second time. The Gyro meat was burnt and they covered it with some good pieces. It made all the meat taste burnt and was not good. I called to voice my complaint and the manager told me to drive the meal back to the restaurant. I told him that is unacceptable. He offered no apology and tried to shame me for my complaint because they're a small business. I told him I was going to leave a bad review and he said go ahead. Terrible customer service. People with CELIAC Disease be careful ordering anything that advertises it is gluten free. They cook all the food with gluten containing food. There is cross contamination. The service was alright aside from the fact that they wanted to disagree with the food being gluten free when it's cooked in oil that contains breaded items. The place is located near a marijuana distribution center so it has an overwhelming smell of weed. The waitress was pleasant other than the severe gluten allergy concerning issue. read more

Visited Hummus Cafe on Monday March 3rd. 12:00pm. At the Moore, Ok location. 811 SW 19th St. Was greeted and taken to a table as soon as I walked in the door. Server was very polite as I let her know I was waiting on my guest to arrive. Promptly gave me two menus and two waters. I ordered a plate for the two of us. Marinated chicken and gyro meat (which I substituted) vermicelli rice, grilled tomato and onion, pita bread, and hummus. The tzatziki sauce (?) I think that's what it is called was great tasting, very fresh! The entire meal was spectacular!! I haven't been since I moved out of Moore. It's good to know it's still the great restaurant that was one of my favorites. I have literally been craving the food since that day!! Total bill for two, with two ice waters $19.87. This was a pick up, we were really excited for some mediterranean food. The taste is very delicious. I will start with that. Picking it up we realized there is veggies in the kofta and chicken portion we contacted them back for an explanation since we ordered 8 servings worth and charged 18.49 per so where's the rest of the meat??? They said it had 8 servings of meat. The online menu shows much more food per plate we were shocked, especially with it being $241. After contacting them with this complaint, we were given the gyro food and extra sauce for it so that was nice, but we just won't order from here again. We enjoyed the food, but disappointed in the servings for the meat. I was craving a gyro but more than anything I wanted to try "fresh made" hummus. I'm a newish fan of hummus and have only ever tried a few different store bought ones, all great. I love tangy lemony foods, so I instantly fell in love with hummus. My husband was skeptical because of the texture but I managed to convince him to try hummus and he really liked it too!! So we were both pretty excited to finally try "fresh" restaurant made hummus for the first time. We ordered the jalapeño hummus that comes with a side of pita. Ate the gyro first, smaller than the average gyro's I've had at other places, it was ok, mostly onions, missed the other veggies, wouldn't bother ordering it again here. Then on to the hummus... pita was mediocre, oh well, just ready to get into that hummus!!! I dip the pita, take a bite and....utter disappointment!!! My husband saw the face I made and was scared to try it. I encouraged him to just give it a taste and he was also disappointed. Honestly, if that would have been my first time trying hummus it would have turned me away from ever wanting to try it again. Tragic just imagining it! It was terribly bland and had a weird almost chemical taste to it...maybe from canned chickpeas?? Wouldn't know, but the worst part was the missing acidity from the lemon flavor I love so much. One bite was enough for me but for the $8+ I paid for that small container I couldn't just throw it out. I plan to squeeze some lemon juice and salt and brave through it, hoping for the best, l. Which tells you I'm an okie, I thought a gyro was a sandwich, not just the ingredients. That being said we got gyro meat (plenty), onions, tomatoes, taziki sauce, half a quartered pita, fries. My wife, brother and I had dinner at Hummus the other night and it was fantastic. We had the sampler appetizer and our favorite by far was the Muhammara. It's very savory from the roasted red peppers but also very herbaceous and fresh tasting. Between our party we ordered the gyro plate, gyro sandwich and shish tawook sandwich. My shish tawook pita was fantastic, had a great marinade on the chicken and it was perfect. Not overcooked at all, which is my common complaint this kind of item at other Mediterranean restaurants. The sandwich came with fries that were great as well; perfectly salty and with other herbs tossed over them. Our waitress was named Avery and she was the best part of the experience. She had great recommendations, seeming to know the menu very well. She even advised my wife to go for the side salad with her meal, since she was already going to get the hummus, Baba Ghannouj and Muhammara in the appetizer sampler. She brought us constant refills for our waters, extra condiments as needed, and was great at making us feel welcome and comfortable for our meal. Updating my review from 3 stars to 4. I really enjoyed my food tonight! The chicken is so extremely flavorful, the rice is delicious and I loved the Greek salad. Their garlic sauce is so good, reminds me of whipped butter. The garlic hummus was delicious too. The only reasons I didn't give five stars is because the pita bread is really tough to chew, hurts my jaw and teeth, and the onion wasn't cooked enough. The outside of it was nice but after the first two layers it was just raw onion. But seriously, this chicken and rice is amazing!!!!!! So glad we decided to try them again! read more

I have ordered the Shish Tawook (Chicken Kabab) along with a side of hummus and pita over a handful of times now, so I can confidently recommend this delicious meal. Next, I also called the restaurant today with a "specific instruction" request and was promptly helped by Peyton. She was both kind and professional throughout the process. Furthermore, even though it was a DoorDash order, Peyton went above and beyond to make sure I received exactly what I requested. I will continue to dine here & highly recommend the Hummus Cafe.
