Huge shout out to our service, Colin, Dove, and Dylan! Colin gave us great suggestions, and the other two were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent! The vibe in the place is contemporary and fun. We will most certainly be back. I highly recommend the smorgasbord! This is a perfect date night spot or a place to bring friends from out of town. The pictures don't do it justice, you have to go and try it for yourself.
I've reviewed Humble Bistro in the past and have been several times, but had to tell you about the amazing meal and customer service we experienced tonight. I had ordered the Cremini Sacchetti and added Short Rib (waitress recommended) a few bites into my dish I thought there was a fairly large piece of plastic in my meal. It looked like the cut off end of a bag. We stopped a busser and asked if he could have the manager come over. I wasn't at all mad just wanted them to know. Manager comes over and says "Oh! This is actually the shell of the garlic clove. Still not edible but not plastic. I'll take it back and get you a new one." I said no, totally fine and my mistake I was happy to keep the dish. She insisted saying it was already cold, she'd bring a new one and away she went. My meal came back out and was a different dish. Still had short rib but different pasta and sauce. Right then our waitress came over to check on us and asked how everything was. I told her (laughingly) about my "plastic" and that the manager insisted on bringing out a new dish but got the wrong one. Again, I wasn't at all mad I was more laughing about my mistake. She then insists on correcting it. I said several times it was totally fine but she insisted. Not only did I get the correct dish they boxed up the incorrect one for someone at our table to take home. I just thought that was amazing customer service. They insisted on getting it right despite it being my error. You just really don't hear about great customer service experiences like this and had to share. If you visit Humble Bistro you are guaranteed an amazing meal and customer service!
We had an amazing dining experience! Our server (Gavin ?) was attentive, funny and made sure we had a pleasant dining experience since we were celebrating a birthday! The vibes are lively both inside and outside of the restaurant. The inside has a dark and moody feel. We came on a Friday night at 7:30pm and waited ~ 15- 20 minutes for a table for 3 people. We ordered the following appetizers: Cauliflower Tahina $12 and they were delicious. I recommend. The flavor was on point. I would order again. Not so Humble Brussels $13 and they were okay, it needed a thicker balsamic sauce. I would not order again. Dishes: Humble Caesar Salad $14 Added Shrimp for $6 The salad is a good portion. It filled me up. The jalapeño caesar tied in nicely with the romaine, brusssels,parmesan & pecorino cheese and the egg. It would still taste great without the shrimp. Cajun Chicken Alfredo $20 enjoyed the taste and the flavor of the Alfredo sauce. Cremini Sachetti $22 The stuffed pasta, mushrooms & cheese sauce were delicious.
Humble Bistro has a warm and inviting atmosphere and is definitely a beautiful space. The décor feels cozy and upscale, which made us excited to try it. Unfortunately, the loud music inside really did not match the relaxed vibe of the restaurant. After hearing it while waiting for our food, I was honestly glad we decided to do carry out because it would have taken away from the dining experience. We ordered Shirley Temples, but although they were on our ticket, they somehow did not come out with the rest of the order. We had to ask for them and ended up waiting about another 10 minutes. Thankfully, they were worth the wait -- refreshing, flavorful, and probably one of the highlights of the meal. For food, we ordered the Humble Lasagna, the This Lil' Figgy pizza, and the Classy Girl pie with pepperoni. The lasagna was disappointing because the cheese completely overwhelmed the pasta, sauce, and overall flavor, making it hard to taste much else. The pizza and bruschetta were just okay. Nothing terrible, but nothing especially memorable either. Overall, we left feeling mixed. The space itself is lovely and the drinks were great, but the food and service experience did not quite live up to the atmosphere. I'll try it again and hope to leave an updated review
We like going to this quaint little French flare bistro. On our most recent trip, we were greeted by the sweetest hostess. Her name was Lily. She was very friendly and kind! We had the maximus pizza. I love the crust on this pizza. It's not too chewy and not too soft. It's just the right consistency. I like to dip it in the chili honey sauce. This pizza was topped with Imported Grande pepperoni, capicola & house talian sausage with their 3 cheese blend. We didn't have it on this visit, but we also really enjoyed the gentleman pizza. We also get the humble wings which are accompanied by three different sauces. It's great cause you never have to choose just one. The three sauces are buffalo, spicy Korean and chili honey. I love all of the sauces, but I have to say I enjoy mixing the spicy Korean and the chili honey together.
This is my second time and the atmosphere is amazing, very moody and elegant. Our waitress was kind and attentive. I am giving this a generous 4 stars because the food was good but I'm not sure why I'm not a fan. I feel like the dishes need a little more flavor possibly? I had the Cajun Chicken Alfredo and my friend ordered the Cremini Sacchetti. Both of our takes were it just needed something more. We also ordered the Forno bread with Alfredo and marinara to dip with which was good.
I love EVERYTHING about this place! The atmosphere and music create a romantic vibe that allows you to soak up and savor an evening together with your loved one! I am gluten intolerant, but can usually do a good sourdough bread, and theres was DELICIOUS and of very high grade! I had no gluten reaction whatsoever. We shared The Gentleman Pizza and it was a delightful combo of sweet and savory (** insert chef's kiss)! We also shared their Caesar and Jalapeno Hummus with GF pizza crust. Both were heavenly! I especially loved the Brussels on top of the Caesar--such an unexpected treat! Their "Not so humble fries" were absolutely incredible, as well! They may be humble, but their flavors scream from the rooftop just how masterful they are!
Beautiful setting inside. Outside seating is nice and cozy. We were greeted right away and a small 20 min wait want bad for a Friday night. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The menu has so many delicious items to try. The jalapeño hummus was delicious. The Red before bed sangria is a must try. I can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu
I had seen this place pop up a few times on social media and it was on my list of places to try for a solid year. We finally got around to going and I can't believe I waited this long to try. Everything we got was amazing!! We ended up ordering server suggestions-- the Brussels spouts, fig flatbread and a pasta. We loved every single one of them!! The vibe was also really nice. We went for an early dinner around 4 and sat on the patio so it wasn't too busy when we got there but definitely filled up by the time we left. Don't have any complaints really, aside from the service which wasn't necessarily bad- just not great either. Our servers seem to be really preoccupied or maybe just not having the best day, but it didn't affect our experience at all. We would definitely go back!
Have been wanting to check out Humble Bistro for a while and bummed it took me so long to get here. We came for a Sunday lunch and the restaurant was busy and lively. We enjoyed the humble fries these were delicious, I loved the salad and the crispy Brussel sprouts were so tasty. Will definitely be back to try some other menu items.
Our neighbors recommended Humble Bistro and we were very impressed. The music (think Bridgerton vibes) was perfect as well as the lighting and overall vibe. My husband I and really enjoy going to places that make you feel like it's a special night but without the special price tag. We sat at the bar and were thankful to have very friendly and attentive service along with great tasting food. We ordered the red sangria, draft beer, gentlemen's pizza and pasta with meatballs. We are Italian and normally would never try meatballs from a restaurant but we ordered on a whim and loved our meal. We can't wait to visit again and hopefully make this place our new favorite date spot. Finally there is a local place that hits all the marks with ambiance, cleanliness, service and good. This Gilbert bistro is a little gem. With lots of wine bottles and crates as decor, it has a dark-ish, charming feel to it. There is a large patio with seating outside, an me inside had a combination of banquettes and tables. There is a bar along one wall. Our server was great--friendly and attentive. We ordered the Red Before Bed froze' and the carbonade, both wine based drinks. Both were very yummy! We shared a Humble Caesar salad and a Maximus pizza. The salad was not like a typical Caesar salad-- it has lots of crispy charged brussel sprouts and a 7-minutes egg. It's was delicious! The pizza had capicola, Italian sausage, and pepperoni. It was also delicious. Everything was good here. We've been here before and will be here again.
Would be a great date spot! I was surprised by how beautifully decorated the inside is. Humble Bistro has dark interiors with moody lighting and decor. The bruschettas were delicious. I really wanted to like this place. I've been planning to visit for quite some time, but it's about a 45 minute drive for me. I was really disappointed in the food. The service was excellent, but the food was flavorless. The Caesar salad was decent. We ordered three other entrées, including a pizza and it was Very bland. read more

Food and drinks were sooo good and such a cute ambience, there's two locations one in Gilbert and Phoenix and I have only been to the Gilbert location. I've lived in Gilbert for my whole life and had no idea this was here or when it opened but I don't regret visiting and will be back:) read more

Happened upon Humble Bistro late Saturday afternoon after coming back from the Suns first scrimmage practice before their season starts. Surprised to see how small it is in the inside compared to how the outside building looks. Not the amount of seating I would have expected, but a quaint little spot with an old timey classic charm, a dim dinning room & a robust Italian ambiance. Our server arrived just right after we were seated and had water in hand and offered us additional drinks. I stuck with that, while my husband ordered a beer. They do have a nice open bar concept with some outdoor seating as well. After looking over the menu the server shared that everything is made fresh in house and it's a creative chef inspired list of unique recipes. My husband & I decided to order a few things that stood out to share. We went with the wings to start, followed by the caesar salad, the truffle pasta & gentleman's pie. EVERYTHING was amazing! Wings-we had with their spicy Korean which is served on the side. The other dipping sauce was like a cilantro ranch which paired well with the wings. The wings themselves had a nice flavor too! Caesar is a stand out here & a must have. The jalapeño dressing & breadcrumbs were a surprising change from the original version and for a unique touch the added crunch of fried brussels on top was the bomb! I'd have to say our favorite caesar salad out thus far! Still talking about it! The pasta was absolutely delicious & highly recommend! The braised meatballs were in a rich red sauce and were so moist, tender & tasty. The truffle pasta was in a rich light white cream & had a dollop of whipped ricotta on top! This was a standout dish. The gentleman's pie was good. The dough is made in house and is light airy and crispy with blends of amazing flavors on top. Our waiter was extremely professional and pleasant. In asking him more questions about this spot we learned that the owner is originally from Canada. He's also the owner of ALL the Valley's Humble Pie's and the other Humble Bistro in Phoenix as well. He recently also opened a new restaurant called Humble Oysters & Bubbles in Scottsdale. We can't wait to check this place out as it has gotten rave reviews with being a hot new spot in the most "Western Town" in AZ. Highly suggest to come here on off hours as peak would find it extremely difficult to get seated right away and would imagine long wait times. Do not take reservations. They have a social hour daily till 5 PM which they offer about 7 items at a lesser price including that incredible pasta dish! read more

I love Humble Bistro!! I have placed a to-go order as well as delivery, but have yet to dine-in. The space has a great vibe and I would love to dine-in one day. I fell in love with Humble Bistro's Not So Humble Caesar salad and Not So Humble fries at first bite, I ordered the two a second time. They're just done so well! The Caesar salad is a Romaine chop with garlic breadcrumbs dressed in jalapeño caesar, topped with crispy Brussels sprout leaves, parmesan and pecorino cheese and a 7-minute egg. I always add shrimp for extra protein. I have never had a Caesar salad like this before. It's definitely my favorite Caesar salad, especially because it comes with crispy Brussels sprouts -- added nutrition, which is nice. The fries come in a gremolata of parmesan, garlic, lemon zest, parsley, chili flakes and a dip trio side: spicy aioli, jalapeño ranch, fancy sauce. Fries are cooked and seasoned to perfection and the dips complement them very well. I look forward to dining in next time! read more

What a great experience. Came in on a Tuesday night for pizza and was great experience. Cole was our server and gave us great suggestions. Very intimate lighting, perfect for a date night or girls night. We tried the short rib grilled cheese which was a burst of flavors. The margarita pizza crust is made from fresh sourdough and had great crunch. I will definitely be back for brunch and was told the burger was the best thing on the menu. read more

Stopped in for dinner Veteran's Day weekend and had a great time. Service was quick even on a busy Friday evening. We started with an old fashioned and the peaches cocktail (photo below). Really tasty and well made cocktails, fairly priced too. For our meal, the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, Short Rib Pappardelle, and the Smorgasbord. I would order each again. The chicken came with cheesey garlic fries that were extremely well seasoned. The short rib was excellent but had a disappointing portion size (because the meat was incredibly good but only lasted a few bites). Only 4 stars because the bartender used a weird toothpick that splintered into my girlfriend's mouth when she went to gently remove the cocktail cherry. That was dangerous. The server was kind to take the cost of the drink off our check, though! read more

What a pleasant surprise! Stopped in for dinner about an hour before they closed with hesitation as I always hate to be the person keeping people from getting to go home on time, however it looked pretty slow so I figured we could zip in and out pretty quick and boy was I right in the best way! First off, super cutie inside! Loved the low lights and decor throughout! I ordered a cocktail (I can't remember the name) but it was quite tasty! The forno bread came so fast and was beyondddd delish!!!! Next up was the gentleman pizza which when I say life changing I mean LIFE CHANGINGGGG! the fresh ricotta, the semi spicy honey, it was honestly chefs kiss! If you want a spot with amazing food and the atmosphere of like a 1930's bar in NYC on a rainy day, check out humble bistro. Ambiance is amazing, came in on a Saturday at lunch time and they had a girl singing over some piano ballads. I enjoyed it because she had a beautiful voice but it wasn't too loud like some live music (I know I'm getting old when I start thinking music is too loud). The short rib grilled cheese was a solid 8.5/10, lives the crispy cheese crust on the bread. They also gave me a side of cilantro ranch which was fresh and delicious. had brunch at Humble Bistro and had a great experience. Our server, Ryan, was excellent he was attentive, friendly, and kept our drinks full the whole time. for the actual food we ordered the Humble Fries, Caesar Salad, the Gentleman Pizza, and the Cajun Chicken Club Sandwich.
