A friend of mine, who's an Augusta native was showing me around town when both of us started to work up a mean appetite. I was in the mood for something light and fresh so she recommended we come here. This place is an art lover's dream. Every part of the restaurant is painted with murals and one of a kind pieces made by the owner. The menu is Vegan focused ranging from wraps to salads and juices ( some of which are already prepared). We had a hard time deciding what we wanted to order so the cashier helped us choose the best meals. I got the Vegan Burger with The Warrior. The smoothie was a little too powdery for me. The Burger was really good; very filling. I'd be open to exploring other menu items, both food and their juices as opposed to the smoothies. read more

Phenomenal. We got the soup of the day, the spicy kale wrap, and the bacon cheeseburger. All were absolutely delicious. We went back and ordered another cheeseburger because we just needed to taste it again. We also got the reboot and sunshine juices, both very good, reboot was a little sweeter, sunshine wasn't sweet at all, very gingery, just a heads up. Will absolutely be back! read more

One word...DOPE!!!! This place was everything!! The food, the culture, music, owners, vibes, books....it was on point. I was in the area looking for a few healthy options and stumbled upon Humanitree House and I'm so happy I did. They serve all vegan options plus juices and smoothies. I had the chickenUNphilly on a garlic wrap and I was impressed! I'm not vegan or vegetarian yet but I left happy and with a full belly. It was soooooo delicious! I also ordered the kale salad to go and it's a huge portion! The salad held up well and was not soggy. I also tried the Jamaica mon' smoothie and again....delicious and fresh. I'll definitely visit again. Also it wasn't expensive compared to some vegan restaurants. read more

This is probably the most vegan friendly eatery I've been to. I was shocked to find such a gem in the south, but low and behold there it was 5 mins from the highway in Augusta. Known for its extremely healthy menu and vegan founder, Humanitree has received many acknowledgements from the community and the news re: its commitment to fueling the people of Augusta with the best nutrients. There is also an authentic reggae artistic energy that radiates from the beautifully painted walls and the chill/peaceful music. Definitely a spot you'll want to checkout regardless of dietary preference. Who doesn't want to feed their hunger with organic plants? Totally helped center my flow and kept me healthy on my southern excursion. read more

I'm not vegan, but decided to try something new. I was actually looking for a place that made good acai bowls and this restaurant came up. So my daughter and I went for lunch. I got the vegan burger and my daughter got the turkee unphilly sandwich. Both sandwiches were flavorful but for me the vegan burger was the star!! I was originally concerned it would have strong beet flavor (not a fan of beets) but it didn't at all. You could tell it was made in house. I was hoping to eat it with fries. But all they had was tortilla chips or cole slaw. The burger was very filling. Also, the owner introduced himself and shared a little about his art and the restaurant. He was very cordial; the restaurant had a nice relaxed feel to it. Can't wait to take my husband. read more

I've wanted an acai bowl since moving to Augusta and didn't hear of anywhere having them until last night when I found this place on yelp... went and checked it out and it did not disappoint. My acai bowl was beautiful and tasted even better. On a whim and with staff suggestion I tried their "summer love" juice that was so good I bought a second before my bowl was even finished being prepared. The service was amazing (so friendly and answered any and all questions I had) and the overall aesthetic of the place was phenomenal. You can definitely tell it's a great place to hang when the dining room is open. The non-smoothie food also smelled amazing and is apparently very healthy and vegan, that will be my next try. I was told they source all of their stuff locally and juice in-house. Will 1000% be back probably within the next week. read more

Five stars for good vibes. I yelped a place for studying (that had wifi and tea) and naturally I chose the one with the best reviews. There was plenty of street parking although I should have totally road my bike here and sat outside to enjoy the crisp fall air. I ordered a chai which unfortunately I wasn't super impressed with, but I promised myself I wouldn't judge them based off of one chai which I am glad I didn't! I actually scooped up one of their awesome Groupon deals for their fresh pressed juices and they did not disappoint. I ordered "the remedy" which was a carrot ginger pressed juice and I loved it. I still have a couple more juices left on my groupon which I'm looking forward to using to try new flavors. I still haven't tried the food but from what I've heard it's good too, which is lucky for me since I'm a vegetarian and they have options catered to us veg lovers. The open layout is one thing I loved the most about it as well as all the in house art displays, and the music they play out of their old speakers. It is definitely an Augusta staple, and a must try for every one. read more

I have never tried an açaí bowl but when I came to visit my boyfriend said there was a really good place. When decided to come here the next morning. This place is very different and super artistic. Just walking into this place makes your feel creative and free. First time trying an pitaya bowl and I am hooked! It definitely lives up to the hype. The color is so vibrant and all the additional toppings gives it that edge. The granola is so good! It's super crunchy which gives a nice bite against the pitaya blend. The fruits are tart which pairs perfect with the sweetness of the dragon fruit and the agave. Wish I lived in Augusta just so I can have this everyday! read more

Love, Love, love this place! Can never go wrong! My favs are the Beet Burger (delish-AND I can't taste, nor do I like beets), the Kale Salad, chickpea soup, with a chocolate goddess smoothie (Strawberry, cacao & almond butter)! Quite possibly one of my favorite places in all of Augusta. I'm there at least one a week. Amazing juices, smoothies and smoothie bowls. Delicious and nutritious vegan food. What more can I ask for? If it's your first time, I recommend trying the chocolate goddess smoothie. read more

This is the best place to get 100% vegan food/smoothies/drinks in Augusta. Aside from that, the owners and employees are very welcoming. It's a great environment and is filled with beautiful pieces of art. My girlfriend and I, were skeptical to try vegan food for the first time but the Humanitree did not disappoint us. It's actually part of the reason we decided to go fully vegan. The general manager at Humanitree recommended the ChickUNPhilly & the Jamaican Mon smoothie and since then those items have been my go to. To be honest, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The food is tasty and well seasoned and best of all 100% vegan. I'd highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a healthy meal and a good environment to enjoy it in. Went here for the first time during lunch and it was really good. I had the avocado sandwich in wrap form and it was everything I hoped it would be. Lots of chunky avocado and a perfectly portioned amount of veggies. My one complaint was that I had some avocado skin with the sticker still on it at the bottom of my wrap. The wrap was good enough for me to look past that, though. I also had the soup of the day which was a sweet potato soup. It was perfect for a cold and rainy day like today. The flavors were outstanding and the sweet potatoes were perfectly cooked. It's probably of the best soups I've ever had. My husband ordered the philly wrap and I had a bite of his. Delicious. I'm definitely getting that next time. It was also nice being able to go out to a restaurant and have a completely cruelty free meal. I recommend this place! read more

To be honest. This place surpassed and left me in absolute awe. The ambiance is very down to earth and rustic. Artistic does not begin to describe the place. Tones of culture, roots and pride cannot even describe how peaceful it is. Unbeknownst to us we actually met the owners who were sitting with their son in a gallery off the main cafe. Baruti (I hope I got that right), explained that his paintings were done in pastel, oils and acrylic media painted on wood and stretched canvas by his hands....no paint brushes. Amazed. The food was amazing as well. I ordered the vegan burger in a wrap with BBQ sauce and vegan cheese. Crazy. Amazing. My husband ordered the eggplant blt made with eggplant bacon. The only thing is the eggplant bacon was hard for our brace faces to bite because of curing. However it was amazingly tasty. My husband ordered a love pusha smoothie and I had a Jamaican smoothie. They were so good. We are definite fans. read more

I really, really, REALLY want to love this place. The vibe is awesome. The staff is very friendly, but... The food...that is the reason for the 3 stars. The food is delicious, but...whenever we order smoothies, 1 or more ingredients is always missing/out of stock. My wife and I visit after the gym for delicious post workout treat. The first 2 times we visited, super on point. Sine then, at least 10 visits, when I order The Recover, cherries are always gone, half the time I'm eating peanut butter instead of cashew butter. One time I was casually watching and the gentleman making the smoothie forgot to add protein and maca root (which I paid extra for). Another time, they had zero ingredients and we had a different smoothie all together. My wife loves Hempnotic. Most of the time it's correct, however, lately something is always being substituted. I want local businesses to thrive. CSRA has enough chains. I live in North Augusta and drive passed a Tropical Smoothie Café to come here. If this trend continues with Humanitree, sadly, I'll have to go somewhere else for our post workout treat. read more

I enjoyed the taste of my vegan burger I choose. It was a sausages on a bun. I enjoyed the tropical açaí bowl that I had gotten. Just wish the tropical flavors would of dominated over others. However the service and vibe was cool. I would probably have to look over the menu and choose another item when returning again. That will be my go to meal when you going. read more

I've actually not been to Humanitree in a while so I was pretty sure I rated it already. I'm not vegan but there are some really great selections here. The food is tasty and filling. I love the pressed juices. But what I love more is when there is an event going on. The vibe is so laid back and as a creative I'm stimulated by the art and ambience of this place. I would hang out there more often if my schedule permitted it. So if you're looking for great healthy food selections and a creative vibe, stop by and take a seat. 3 words. So. Freaking. Good. I got the vegan burger on an onion bun with the kale salad. The place is super funky with a fun vibe. Not a ton of seating but it wasn't very busy. The burger was incredible--my first bean burger ever. Can't wait to come back and try some more stuff. I wanted to get a smoothie but that will have to wait until next time! I did overhear the lady at the counter helping lots of folks with deciding what drink to order! She asked them how they felt and other questions-then made some recommendations on the best smoothie/shot/juice for them. Pretty cool! read more

I usually stop by after a workout to get a smoothie, but today I was a little hungry. So, after speaking with Denise(she and he husband own the joint ) ;I decide to eat. I am mot a vegetarian , but I like food and healthy is always good after a workout. So I tried the veggie burger on Ezekiel bread and the kale salad as a side. I also had the cold press juice they call "The Remedy", absolutely refreshing and energizing juice(and all the ingredients are listed and stuff we can pronounce). Food is made to order and they reall have an amazing menu. The atomsphere is fantastic and syper inviting. The art is breathtaking (all painted by hand by Denise's talented husband...I don't want to misspell his name)! Anyway back to the food, ok, so I tried the kale salad and almost lost my mind! The best kale salad I have hands down. It's not a lot in it,but it's a lot in it. The burger was superb to beade with beets it was great. Next time I will try it on the onion bread. The Ezekiel bread was fine, but it was recommended to me to try it on the other bread.Back to the kale salad, it was so good I order a small to go. Beautiful establishment, they always have entertainment going on and great jewelry pieces, bags, and literature for you to checkout while you wait. I usually ge the Green Goddess, it's one of their "juice stars" along with Earth Mama, Beet Trip, and The Remedy just to name a few. It is a gem to the downtown Augusta area and highly recommended by me! I enjoy the food,and love the people that brought such a breath of fresh air to Augusta! read more

So, I went vegan/plant-based a little over a month ago, and I have been wondering for my 5 years in Augusta if there was a place that sold cold-pressed juices and other vegan friendly items. There isn't a big market for that type of thing here in Augusta, but I just happened to find the Humanitree House on Yelp a few days ago, and I HAD to get there! I went pretty much first thing this morning (Wednesday), and it was just me in the cafe portion (for lack of better words). I LOVED the ambiance of the place and just the feel it had. It was very calming and comfortable. I spoke to Miss Denise (the owner), and she was very friendly and sweet. We chatted for a bit and she told me about some of the things that they offer (including Yoga and musical events on the weekends). We shared a few stories of our journeys and families and such. She also helped me decide on juices, and told me all about them and which ones are her favorite and which ones I might like. I went in intending to buy a couple and left with I believe 6! LOL! As we were chatting, I drank the Green Goddess juice in the store, which was AH-MAZING! I can't wait to drink the rest of the juices that I purchased today! I will DEFINITELY be back. I rarely give 5 stars, but this place definitely deserves it! **Note** They also give a military discount, and I got a 10% off coupon for checking in via Yelp. AND they have a $15 for $20 deal via Yelp as well, which is pretty sweet! read more

Every style, medium, and vantage point you can think of (or not know about) is here. It welcomes you via the front windows and swaddles you as you walk further in. And the team here are some of the friendlist folks you will meet downtown. And recommendations? They have plenty. They've been there for over two decades so they know a thing or two. Of course they can give you background information on each of the artists' whose work is in the shop and sometimes even some insight on the piece itself. But I also want to highlight a aspect of AOB that I constantly make use of; framing. Once you make it to the back (after joyful hours of looking at everything while en route), you will see a workshop area. There one or two team members will always be hard at work (though never too busy to answer questions). I have brought quite a number of posters, prints, and paintings over the years in search of their guidance in what frame to choose, how to frame it (matte/no matte/thickness of-color-etc.), and even the optimum glass. And every time they have come through. When I ask them to push me out of my comfort zone (aka, solid color frames), they did and my piece was the better for it. Their presence and their services are invaluable to downtown and our community. If you haven't been, or if it's been more than a week, I recommend you stop in soon. You can thank me later.

Though I am unsure of the number of mugs-etc. I have purchased from here, I will mention the latest one. It is a tea cup that is dual textured. The mix of colors with a smooth and grainy texture alone makes it beautiful. But to hold it and sip your evening tea, that is art coming to life. She would tell me every week that my frame would be in in 3 days, once she tracked it and said it would be there in the next 3 days, then she said it had to be hand made, then it came without the glass. All of this was with my reaching out to her. when i ordered the frame i was give a price of 199 and then 225 by her. when I picked it up after making fruitless trips there thinking it was ready, I paid 248.00. Not to mention when it was first restored and delivered to her to frame it was cut wrong and had to be reprinted. so 3 months later it is back in my possession and she will not ever get an opportunity to do this to me again.
