I took my boat to them for slow trim fluid leak. I was told it was a shock rod leak. When I questioned that, as I has never seen fluid coming from shock rod, I received a photo of clean gel on the base of the shock rod. Problem is the trim fluid is an oil, not a gel, and it was red, not clear. I suspected that this was a con. Estimate for repair was for approx. $900 in parts and $900 in labor. The shock rod kit (OEM) was approx. $300 on line. U tube video say it is a one to two hour job, not 6 hours as estimated (6 X $150/hour). I will not take my boat back there ever again. read more

Do not buy your boat here. The administration put the wrong name on our boat ownership and the management refuses to help us correct the error. We asked if they would at least write a letter saying that they made this administrative error, so we could try to have it changed to the correct name without paying the massive sales taxes associated with an ownership name change. They would not sign this letter for us. We purchased a boat in 2020 on behalf of my father. We were very clear that we were buying it on behalf of someone else and about who would be the owner, stating numerous times that while we were buying on behalf of him, the name on the ownership would be my father's. We have all this documented in writing, in an email thread as well. We received the boat and the ownership, and the ownership was in my husband's name, NOT my father's. 5 years later it is still incorrect and they still refuse to help us with their error. What a terrible experience! I bought a $50k new boat, pretty much at asking price - it was Covid-19 wanted to support small business. After I paid them, so many problems: -They didn't register the boat or trailer properly -Missing seat -Garbage in the boat...for $50k you'd figure you'd take a peak -Inclusions in contract missing -broken items in boat... 2020 model -1/8 of a tank of gas...cheap -They thought the delivery was 1 week off.... I live out of province, I had to tell them -The delivery guy, super nice by the way, had no idea what to give me (not his fault). Basically it felt like they took the money and ran! So far they have tried to fix some of the issues - better than nothing. But no apologies or refunds...Terrible customer service - shop elsewhere. read more

I bought a surron that was advertised as a 2023 but once we got the ownership it said 2022 but they reassured us it's a 2023 not 2022, They also offered us a season pass to gopher dunes which we never received and we mentioned that many months after the fact and they took my name down and said they would look into it but nothing came of it. I also recently went in to get a new rear tire for the surron and asked the girl at the parts desk but she struggled quite abit trying to figure the tire that they claimed to know and carry. She searched for awhile and ended up asking the other parts desk guy, in which he told her to go look at the model surron that's in the store for the tire size... she left and came back and proceeded to spend what felt like forever on the computer and in the end of it all they couldn't even figure out their own product. Overall I wasted over an hour of my time. Now I wonder... how do you sell a bike and not have parts for it?? I also referred someone and they bought a surron which I know they have a referral bonus which I never got.. I don't leave reviews but they drove me to it... I remember ordering parts for my motorcycles in the past and almost every time it was the wrong part they would get in which just wastes your time, energy and mental health. too big to fail. We bought a brand new 2022 Yamaha 20 horsepower motor at the end of aug. 2023. Had a great experience with sales team and finance team, took it north in October to try motor on my boat and could hardly run it for 10 mins to do the break in because it filled my boat with water. reached out to the sales rep. Jeff Parsons and he got back to me on the tues says I bought the wrong motor, only question asked when originally buying was what is the size of the boat I told him and he said that the motor will work perfectly on our boat So I bought it believing him as the sales expert and he didn't ask any other questions. Hully Gully did take the motor back but I lost $1000 off the price cause it's now classified as used and because there where no short shaft in stock I had to go to a 25 horsepower which cost me $3000 more & I'm in the market for a brand new AtV which I will not be buying from Hully Gully. I don't want to have another issue that the sales man doesn't know what he's selling me. I hope the $1000 they screwed me out of is worth more tthana repeat customer. read more

Glad that I called before making the trek. I asked Old Bob to recommend a snowblower based on my needs. He suggested four, all of which I researched online. I made my selection, then called him back to ask him to give me a discounted price because it was just before a holiday weekend and I knew that they would have a sale. He agreed, so I drove out there to pay for it. Very happy with my purchase and the sales experience. Went to part to get plugs, oil and filter. The service techs took 5 minutes to even acknowledge me and I was the only person in line. it was like I was an inconvenience to them. However I purchased the parts and oil for the bike. I questioned the viscosity he handed me and he said that's what the manual said. I changed the oil, which I have been doing in all my vehicles for 30 + years, now it clunks like crazy in almost every gear. Checked service manual, he gave me the wrong oil and lied about what was in the manual. Needless to say I will NEVER be back. read more

Have a family member who ordered a new boat from HG last December. It was delivered in June. The day it was launched, the motor would stall constantly. They (HG) were in denial from the onset. Decided to use the boat (with stalling issues) for the Summer (240 miles to take it out of the water and get it back to HG). Horrendous job trying to dock a boat that constantly stalls ! Finally returned boat to HG to fix numerous issues under warranty. Has been a horrible experience. Not sure if stalling has been fixed as it's too late in season to launch and test. Terrible service at HG. Would never recommend them to anyone ! read more

We bought a brand new boat from them, the rpm gage was broken when on land we asked why, they said it should correct once in water. They told us to make a list of stuff needing fixed as it will be under warranty (as this is apparently common with new boats) for when we take it in for the 20 hour inspection. When we bring it in they try to get out of fixing the rpm gage as they blamed it as "unlucky, a small piece of wood got into and broke it". The snaps broke off the cover and letters fell off. When we go to pick it up for spring season they DRAGGED the motor against the ground as they brought it over to us and said "we can just put a skeg guard on it". Given it's a new boat we obviously wanted the motor to be back in brand new condition so we had to drive back home which is 2 hours away and wait for the broken part of the motor to be replaced, letters to be replaced on the side and new snaps for the cover that broke that never got done the first time. They said they would wrap it for free for the inconvenience beings they had to store in over the winter to get fixed and that was never done when we picked it up the cover was covered with a musty growth. They lack communication there and it took a lot of effort to ensure our boat was going to be fixed and returned to the condition we bought it. Nothing but grief working with this company and we will not be doing business there again read more

We bought a brand new boat here about a month ago everybody there doesn't care about there customer all they care about is the sale battery's weren't wired correctly so none of the safety features like horn bilge navigation lights worked also are gauges didn't work the person that sold us out boats name was Doug I tell you that man is a fool that barely new anything about the boat he was selling us and all the features my kid knew more about the boat than him just from doing common research. After we got our boat we were planning to go to a cottage and bring the boat we bring the boat out first to a smaller lake and none of our electronics are working, So we bring the boat back to them and they said to us they'll have it back by the time of the cottage, day before we go to the cottage we pass by there's our boat no cover sitting outside. Took in my Yamaha viking months back for overheating issues they determined it was a clogged rad and replaced the thermostat than convinced me it needed $1500 in break work. Got the bike back and it still overheated. Took it back now they say it's a head gasket. Charging me 6 hours labour at $100/hr to replace a $40 part. The absolute worst customer service you will ever deal with for the love of god do not service your toys here unless you enjoy being screwed by a big company. They have a wide selection, but thats where the good seems to end. The sales staff I dealt with are very aloof when they do not think you are immediately spending money. They fail to follow thru on promises as well. And the owners.. OMG. The most ignorant, full of themselves, unprofessional people. Think they are the top dogs in the power sports field (they are not), and no reservations with slandering whomever they see as competition. Just for that alone, we went to their competitors on nearby Woodstock and spent out $80K there and are very happy with our boat and the service we got. read more

I bought my Honda rebel here straight from the factory I was told that it wouldn't arrived till end of March. Which I thought prefect it's still winter I have time to call around for insurance and etc. I got a phone call in the middle of February telling me that my bike is ready to be picked up. I explained to the guy I have no where to store my bike since it's still winter and I also have no way of moving my new bike to my house. I then was told that I had to get insurance in order for them to store my bike there. I was pretty clear that when I order my bike I wouldn't want it till the end of March. Buying my first motorcycle experience was terrible. I was pressured on getting insurance right away. Just overall I felt me being a Woman and not very knowledgeable of bikes and how everything works at Hully Gully. It got so bad I had to get my mom to call them( I was 21 at the time )and explain to them how they way they talked to me was not acceptable. I hate how there's no other place to go for an oil change or etc that's close by. read more

While the customer service was pretty good, I feel I got really fucked over being a new biker and female. I was very excited to buy my first bike and found this 2019 Suzuki Boulevard S40 and fell in love, my first piece of paperwork showed it was a 2019 and the paperwork when I signed showed it was a 2017. So I am now thinking it was just a mistake, which is not a big difference for me. Then my sales rep. Told me the girl who had it before me said it wasn't a good fit Until... I get my bike delievered and notice that the brake line is being held together by electrical tape, the side of my bike is scratched up, and on my first ride on the street my mirrors and back right blinker light falls off. And tonight on commissioners road my bike completely dies and I had to walk it across 2 lanes of traffic during rush hour and I had to get it towed and was stranded for an hour. As a new rider I was prepared for me to make mistakes and possibly get injured. I was not prepared for my bike to constantly put me in dangerous situations and almost get me killed. I am furious that my bike somehow passed safety- when it clearly is not road safe. And for my sales rep. To not disclose that my bike had been in a previous accident especially having me pay full price for this used bike is unacceptable. read more

Last spring I made the mistake of buying a used boat from HG. It was a bit old and looked like it needed some TLC, but the salesman Dennis assured me it ran very well and that he knew the previous owner and could vouch that they maintained the engine very well. As it turned out -Dennis is a liar. The boat seemed ok during its first few runs, but I started experiencing power fade. I called and spoke to Dennis about it, before hearing me out he started spouting excuses and even used the term "buyer beware" and it was obvious that he didn't want to talk to me about it.. Instead he put me on with a service manager named Greg. Upon my explanation of what was going on.. He was very rude, refused to even take the time to look at it to see what was wrong, during his rant he let it slip that the boat was for sale on consignment. (Something Dennis didn't mention). After speaking to a sales manager, they offered to "split the service fees" to diagnose the engine problem.. After I spent $600. they said there was "nothing wrong". I asked if they water tested it to experience the power fade? They responded with a firm "No we don't water test". I gave up with them shortly after that. I will never set foot in their store again, and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

I have attempted to work with Hully Gully on 2 occasions now, my best advice for people looking to purchase anything from this store would be " hold on to your wallet" that large building and inventory has to paid for some how. both times i was about to purchase the bill of sale comes out and is 38% higher than the "no hidden costs" sticker that was hanging from the handle bar. Shame on me for not learning the first time, turns out its a bit of a trend. 6300 turned into 11500 3800 turned into 7895 watch yourself, and remember your paying for the building and a commission to the sales rep. If you do happen to actually get a good deal, tripped check your bill of sale to ensure your paying the right amount. and do not even think about asking for movement on the price " we set ours at the lowest possible" - GP = gross profit meaning you have room to wiggle, but they choose to protect those high profit margins. will never return to Hully Gully read more

Hully Gully is a horrible place to shop. Their staff are rude, and do not care about you as a client. We brought out bike in for a safety, and $700 later it came out leaking fuel, and the signal lights didn't work. The km's were also the same going in as they were going out, which meant they didn't even take it for a test drive to see if everything was okay. When I first started riding, about 5 years ago, I didn't know what I didn't know. I decided to go to Hully Gully because I know they had been in business for at least 25-30 years and I figured to last that long, they had to be good. When I first went in, it took a while and several moments of me looking bewildered before a staff member asked me if he could help. I told him that I was looking for a jacket & a helmet & he directed me to the proper area. I was disappointed to find that as a female rider, I had the choice of 5 jackets and 4 pairs of boots - half of which were high heels. I believe the selection has become better over the years, but it has been a slow progression and it is not a marked improvement. I have to admit, that I have been back a couple of times to see if things have improved, and each time I am still disappointed that it takes such a long time to get any of the staff's attention. When I do eventually end up speaking with them, they do not seem terribly engaged or overly enthusiastic about the products. There are better motorcycle shops in the area with better prices, and I will continue to patronize those places where I feel my business is appreciated. read more

Bought my first bike from Hully Gully, was not impressed with the service at all. The sales staff was very pushy and rude. The Service staff was even worse. The binkers were broken on my Brand New Suzuki so I brought it back to get fixed. Everytime i turned left the fuse would blow and kill the blinkers. Left my bike with them in the middle of summer and perfect riding weather. Bike was in the shop for 3 days. Got my bike back and a day later the same problem fuse blew and no blinkers. Brought the bike back again and this time bike was in the shop for a week. Finally got my bike back and they had left it outside in the back where they have their dirt drivways and storage. My bike was so dirty I had to wash it for 3 hours to get all the dirt off it. Will not be returning any of my business to them again. How now been to Inglis Cycle and they always take care of their customers. read more

Just purchased a depth sounder and after taking it home and trying a few positions, realized it wouldn't fit properly in my boat. Turns out Hully Gully does not accept returns of any sort on these products even though everything was still in its original packaging in the exact form as when I bought it. They would simply have had to return it to its location on the shelf. They felt it would still work for me if I bought an adapter from them and installed it on the other side of the boat opposite where all the gauges are! I stated my make and model when purchasing the unit and was told I would not have any issues installing it. I would normally like to support the small local businesses like this, but in this case, they clearly don't want me as a customer. Think twice before buying anything from this place, all parts and accessories can be had for nearly half the price on Amazon which has a standard return policy that any customer would expect in 2015.
