Especially one that would take new patients right away. I tried calling a few places before finding Wellness and luckily enough, they were able to see the both of us the next day with back to back appointments, saving us a trip :). Most places I called were not able to accommodate and we were told that the next appointments for new patients were 3 weeks out! Ummm, thanks, but no thanks! :) At Wellness, we met with one of the PA's, Natalie, and she was such a pleasure to deal with. Great bedside manner and super attentive! She answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. The front office staff was also very friendly and you can tell they run a pretty efficient operation. Wait time was less than 10 minutes and we were both in and out of the office in just under an hour. What more can you ask for!? I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful practice!

He actually takes an interest in you, engages you in conversation to not only hear your acute symptoms but to get a sense for what other physical, environmental, emotional, spiritual factors influence your well-being. Dr Stevens has a great sense of humor and makes you feel at ease even for the awkward exams... you know the ones. He will also not hesitate to let you know, in no uncertain terms, if you're neglecting your health. I, for one, appreciate the lack of candy coating when it comes to my health. Triangle Family Care also has nurse practitioners for when Dr Stevens is not available. Kellie and Crystal are professional and knowledgeable and every bit as personable as Dr Stevens. The office and nursing staff is very friendly and competent. I certainly plan to stick with Triangle Family Care.

If I had done this review a year ago Triangle would've gotten 4 stars. Dr. Stevens is really really…read moregood; he is attentive, insightful & has a wicked sense of humor. 4 stars because after becoming a patient I realized I completely neglected to see that he is a concierge doctor. Unfortunately that meant that I would only see him 1x yearly for my annual physical. OK, I could deal with that because I knew that if something major was going on he would always be available to step in. Well welcome to the new Triangle Family Care. Dr. Stevens has decided that he is now going to turn his attention to aesthetics. Unless you are a concierge patient (which I am not) that's it for any one-on-one visits..forever & always, and while I have total confidence in the PAs that work there, I really would like to have a relationship with my doctor. Now that that will no longer be an option I'm afraid Triangle is now a 3 star practice. :(

My Stem Cell Therapy Dr. Jay Stevens has been following and…read moreworking with me for several years on improving my health and my well-being. While on a family sailing trip my left knee was swelling, painful as well as having difficulty walking. Once back in North Carolina I had a MRI, which found a torn meniscus as well as osteoarthritis in knee. Next I had arthroscopic surgery on this knee. After recovery, pain was much better. Still was not able to exercise much as often would have swelling and pain. Had several draining's of the knee and cortisone shot for relief. Often I was not able to stand for longer than 30-minutes. Additionally, I have rheumatoid arthritis and diverticular disease to manage. Working most days around pain, discomfort and a feeling of being overwhelmed with all the medications I take daily. Having several attacks of diverticulitis and being concerned as taking antibiotics too often to control the attacks. Next comes a wonderful phone call from Dr. Stevens. Suggesting that I look at few websites and talk with my family and other physicians about this Stem Cell Therapy treatment to improve my life. On June 10th was the day of my Stem Cell Therapy. Had the harvesting of my stem cells and next had a shot in the left knee. Given an IV with millions of my own cells to help with the RA and diverticular disease. For the next few days worked out the soreness but was able to begin to feel better and my knee was NOT swelling. The first challenge was the beginning of diverticulitis with nausea and little discomfort only three and half weeks from treatment. Right from the start I was challenging the therapy. With increasing my water and adding additional fiber to my diet I was able to work out this attack with NO antibiotic. This would have not happened before treatment. Next was to challenge the left knee. Went hiking for three hours and had no pain and/or swelling. Daily I'm able to exercise and strength train and have been pain free. Now I have returned to a life of working out in the gym with a trainer. Playing golf and hiking as often as I like.

I went for HRT. I had an in-depth battery of tests to determine a baseline for my health. They were…read moregood at reviewing all the details of my bloodwork. Spent an entire hour with me, but the tests cost thousands of dollars and that does not include ongoing care. I paid $600 per quarter plus $150 for 90 days of compounded hormones for a year. First they wanted to cut a small slot to insert a pellet in my lower back, but I said no. We did cream roll on instead. I felt better on hormones, but to monitor them, had to take a spit test via snail mail only to discover they didn't have any enough of a sample. Then they wanted me to pay an extra $150 for bloodwork each time since the spit test didn't work. Felt like nickel and diming. They do not take insurance. When I had a side effect from the hormones they told me I needed to sign up for primary care in order for them to help me. Just doesn't make sense for them to receive so much money and then not help a patient in need. If you're someone with lots of different health issues, it might be good to get care from them, because they can review all the data together. They still refer you to specialists, which is a separate process with separate fees. An endocrinologist can prescribe and monitor hormone treatment. It's not rocket science. It wasn't a miracle drug. My skin still ages, elasticity declines, there is a risk of cancer if you don't take the right combo and don't start early enough, but mentally it's been good. Good doctors are out there. Most people don't need a concierge. After having one, I must say I'm not healthier, but it's nice to get more attention.
