They do not answer the phone and they do not return calls if you leave a voicemail. If you happen to get someone to actually answer the phone, you will learn very quickly that you calling is a problem for them and they will then forward you and ask you to leave another voicemail. They do not care and you will actually hear that sentiment in their voice, clearly. It won't matter if you're cordial in every single encounter or how mannerly you behave in general. They simply do not care about resolving even the most simplistic of administrative/insurance issues. You will spend weeks battling and agonizing before you get a return call, if one ever actually does come. His office didn't bill my procedure correctly; they used my member ID but not the correct insurance. So when the anesthesiologist billed my insurance company, said company had no filing about a colonoscopy procedure actually occurring. So my insurance sees only that I had some anesthesiology services on a certain date. That alone is a $600 bill that only $108 of which was covered because there was no procedure tied to it. If my insurance company had received the billing for the actually colonoscopy along with the anesthesiology, all of it would have been covered at 1000%. My procedure was literally 7 months ago and I have fought and battled with Dr Vernon's office/billing staff. I'm now about to have to pay $492 for the anesthesiology or face being sent to collections, all because Dr Vernon's office didn't file with my insurance prior to the anesthesiologist filing. I know I gave him the correct insurance info and the proof is in the fact that the anesthesiologist successfully filed their portion of the claim. I will NEVER return to this office and whenever the subject of gastro issues/routine colonoscopy comes up in conversation, I will do everything I can to warn folks about what they'll likely face should they choose Dr Vernon. I will also be warning my PCP that he is destroying his own credibility with every referral he makes to Dr Vernon.

I called the office and left a message about how I was feeling and within 5 minutes my phone rang. MY PHONE RANG!@!! It was Dr. Tang, the best MD on the planet. I had an appointment the next day and she tweaked a med and now I am fine. This wasn't the first time she called me over something. Once she called me on her way home from her car and she sat in her garage for 5 minutes until we finished!. Okay, people, when is the last time you had a doctor call you at home?????? WHEN??? I have no idea if she is accepting new patients but if you are looking for a practitioner, ask if there is a waiting list and GET ON IT!!

However,…read moreI will be switching offices for a few reasons. 1 - Lack of transparency regarding cost I was asked to sign a document about procedures that may happen. I want my physician and his staff to tell me what they know, which includes cost. Yes, it's my responsibility to ask, but it also their responsibility to tell. 2 - Not cultivating an environment of comfortable dialogue I would have liked Dr. Wessels and his staff to tell me about the procedures ahead of time - when procedures are advantageous and when they are not necessary. I understand an exam is often needed in determine prognosis. However, I would have appreciated the physician take a few extra minutes to show the patient dignity by having them sit up to share face-to-face any concerns and advice the physician may have as well as leave room for the patient to ask questions. Do NOT ask if a patient wants a procedure when he/she is in the midst of an uncomfortable and vulnerable exam. It's unprofessional and inconsiderate. The left the office feeling shame that I hadn't asked questions about cost nor advocate for a more comfortable setting, but also frustration that the physician didn't offer cost information up nor provide a comfortable environment to do so.

That was the best move I have made in 72 years. He fixed them in two trips. What a great Doctor!!! He did injections (Schlerotherapy) and one band. I had 11 bands put on in Winston-Salem and not one stayed on. Dr. Saleeby's band stayed on. If you are having trouble with hemorrhoids then Dr. Saleeby is the Doctor to see.

So I had to stand there for over 5 minutes for them to finish their conversation before the employee sitting at the desk asked how she could help. I stated my name and it took her a split second to hand me the paperwork signed by my awesome doctor. Both of these employees were discouteous, and unprofessional. They both need remedial training on how to treat patients when they enter the doctors office. Yes it takes…read morea bit to get referrals or a lab order but a quick call or message through the patient portal will fix that. This is a one doctor with one assistant practice. The doctor spends ALOT of time addressing the needs of each patient. We have never had extremely caring and through service like this and by we I mean my family. We have had one urgent visit and they squeezed us in. Dr. Eily is extremely caring, wants to get to the root of the problem, and so kid friendly (my son turned the exam room into a rocket ship and she played along while examining). This is not your traditional cookie cutter office. There are some quirks but I'll take it. Us holistic folks are quirky in our own way. For reports or referrals we (patients) need to do just a little work or lets call it team work with the office. They upload the referral/ lap report to the patient portal, you print it and take it to the doctors office or you can download it and send it to the office via email. We haven't had an issue. If your going to LabCorp bring the physical order and YOU choose online what location best suits you.
