I have been here 3 times since they opened. I have never been disappointed. It is a great place to grab something for lunch. I have only ever bought the poke bowl. The fish is pretty fresh. The choice of extras is good. The sauces could use some better flavors but the current ones aren't bad. Everyone that works there is friendly and fast. Even when there is a line I have not waited very long for someone to help me. I will definitely continue to stop in read more

the employees are always so nice and never stingy with the portions. I LOVE coming here and I remember coming in about 3 times in the same week. 10/10 recommend read more

Well, I finally made it... so glad I did. And exceeded my expectations. I'm very much a sushi lover and to have it in a burrito form was even better. I got to choose exactly what was going into it all. I chose my variety of meats, veggies, crunchies, sauces and even extras like sour cream and avocado. It was another great burrito. I loved it so much I went back twice within 10 days. read more

Great selections and quality of food. I'm from So Cal and the freshness was on par with what I can get at home.

Terrific fresh food and very helpful employees. I got the three protein bowl with Ahi Tuna with numerous veggies and it was all great!

I'm from Southern Cali and moved to San Antonio two years ago. The Poke in San Diego is always on point and it has been so hard for me to find good Poke here in San An. I use to drive to Austin for Poke. I saw the Kens 5 news advertise this restaurant & couldn't wait to try it out . This place greatly exceeded my expectations... ahi was fresh, rice was perf and all the fixings were delicious. Keep it up! Can't wait to try a sushi burrito next time. read more

I used to eat here quite a bit. Went by the other day because my wife was hungry. Saw a man behind the counter, near the food, CLIPPING HIS FINGERNAILS. read more

Food is fresh and clean. My new to go place. I ordered tuna and spicy salmon over brown rice. If you are looking for a place for light refreshing meal, try this place. Items are priced very reasonably and everything is made in the morning. read more

Hula - Poke Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Walked in and walked right out. Strong bad fish smell. Told cashier why I was leaving and the staff laughed. Very disappointed & even more disgusted with their reaction. Never going back. read more

Every ingredient is fresh and delicious. I tried the spicy tuna, boiled shrimp, and tempura shrimp as proteins and they were all extremely well done. Definitely try the seaweed salad as a topping! It's unreal. Overall the food was amazing. Great value for the money. read more

First time here. Excellent!!! Quick, healthy, tasty. Would definitely recommend it. Had the bowl with salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna.

So freakin good!! First time here and I can't wait to go back. Ingredients are fresh and full of flavour. We were in a hurry, so we got one burrito, loaded it to the max and shared it. Definitely enough for us. Yummo! read more

I was very excited when I saw this restaurant pop up in Yelp. I ordered a large triple protein bowl with eel, boiled shrimp, and spicy tuna over a salad with hot cheetos on the side. The poké bowl was delicious and is easily the best poké spot in SA. I have a strong suspicion that my friends will become regulars once I tell hen about this spot. read more

This is my favorite place for take a lunch simple espectacular thanks Hula Poke for make me and my daughter so happy

Delicious! This restaurant is clean and well managed. I had the samurai and I highly recommend it.

If you are looking for great poke in Texas, this is the place to go. The flavors are spot on for poke and I love that you can create your own poke bowl. Simply delicious! read more

Nice, Modern and Clean place. They give generous amount of unlimited toppings. Only wish they gave more sushi meat. The food was good overall, and the customer service was excellent. Free water was available for self serve, or you can purchase from a variety of drinks they have available. I didn't see the typical Hawaiian type soda cans that I was accustomed to seeing at Poke restaurants. Seating inside is limited. I will be back for more yummy poke bowls. read more

Good food! It's not a cheap meal. But it is tasty and fresh! I don't like to eat there because it's a small restaurant and when its busy there's barely any room. It drives me nuts that they expect tips just for serving you the food you're paying for? They do offer delivery in the area, though, and it's amazingly quick, so that's service worth tipping. read more

Good flavor and light. Just opened but management is good. New staff a bit slow and mixed up. Got us overcharged but they took care of it. Very accommodating. The food itself is very good and fresh. Highly recommend this place to try. Small branch, parking is limited read more

Loved it! Thanks to Angelina for helping me make some great choices for my 1st time visit. I can't wait to go back.

I enjoy eating sushi as I'm sure you do as well. This restaurant was not what I expected, but it was pleasant. When you walk in there is a SUBWAY® style bar. As you begin your order, if you've never been here before, there is a bit of a learning curve. The sushi is good, the customer service was great, the people are patient, and the vegetables are all fresh. If you're expecting your smaller pieces of sushi, that doesn't happen here. You will get a burrito of sushi. FYI. Lastly, although the ambience was good and the food was good, locating the restaurant was terrible. Also, the restaurant was clean although small. read more

Oh my gosh! I tried a place like this in Dalls and have been waiting for the craze to hit SA! This is exactly the type of fast food place I've been waiting for! Everything is so fresh!!!! I took my husband and now he knows exactly why I've been trying to sneak back to Dallas for months! Now if only we can get one in Schertz! Thanks so much Eric for bringing this to SA! read more

Food is good, they have a nice variety, and the shop is clean and inviting. Set up is similar to a Subway or Chipotle so you can fully customize your order. read more

Atmosphere is great, staff are amazing and the best poké bowl I've ever had! We come here almost weekly!

This place is awesome! Super clean and friendly! Everything is fresh and I've never been unhappy with anything purchased here.

Hot damn this place is good. I came because I was craving sushi without the price. I've never had a poke bowl so I told the cashier. He kindly walked me thru the whole process picking out my random items. I had tuna and eel. Soooo good!!! I'm in SA for work and will definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

New experience staff was very helpful in showing how this works lol.... got me the three protein burrito and to my surprise it's with sewed as the tortilla lol... killed it and kinda left for wanting more but will settle for what I got right now tho. Customer service is great. Small and cozy location next to Jimmy Johns but it's good to try new things. They have bowls too, salad bowls and regular rice and add all you want bowls. read more

I'm so glad this place opened up close to where I work. It's hard to find good food good ingredients and good service at a good price for lunch. This is all of the above. The owners are friendly as well read more

Love , love the concept.... it's simple, they're patient with you, and if it doesn't taste good to you then it's because YOU put the wrong ingredients together ...haaaa... I love it read more

I love this place and their sushi burritos never disappoint me. they never fail to roll the burrito no matter how many ingredients I put into it. read more

This was my first poke experience and Hula Poke definitely made me a fan. The employees were extremely helpful with me being a newbie and not knowing how it works. It felt like a magical combination of sushi and chipotle. You pick between a salad, a bowl, or a sushi burrito. You then pick your proteins (2 or 3 servings), vegetables, sauces ,toppings, and additional crunch toppings. Very reasonably priced for the amount of sushi style fare you receive. I was able to take enough home that will work for an additional meal. The store is fairly small, so it probably wouldn't be ideal for large groups. It was very clean and well staffed. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be back. read more

This place is amazing! I visit quite frequently, definitely my new favorite sushi and poke spot. I have tried the sushi burritos and the poke bowl and they are both wonderful. Always fresh! They also just added a rewards app that gives you coupons and rewards each time you visit and a bonus $2 off just for downloading the app! Score!!! read more

Very good! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Smiley emoji, would eat there again.

My husband and I were in SA for business, and stumbled upon this little gem. I was absolutely pleased with the service, as well as the fresh ingredients. I ordered the sushi burrito with shrimp being my protein along with jalapeños, cilantro, cream cheese, avocado, red cabbage, kale and the house sauce. If we didn't have to return home so soon we would've have eaten at this place, again. I'm in love! read more

Hula Poke is life changing! If you like poke, Hula Poke is the place to be. Hula Poke is essentially the subway of Poke...but better. The options are endless and every single thing on the menu is delicious. Highly recommend. read more

I have heard about this place from some friends and I saw the reviews were ok so I convinced my boss to go to lunch with me as I became a fan of poke during my Hawaiian vacation. Everything looked really fresh except for the spicy tuna. There are so many great toppings to choose from as well as sauces. If you don't know what items are such as masago, nori, furikake and tomago you need to research. I think this is a great way to try this Hawaiian delicacy. The customer service is friendly and they try to help you along as much as they can. The only big negative is the parking as they share a small parking lot with Starbucks, Jimmy Johns and other places. It is probably best to call in a to-go order (if you really know what you want to order) as the inhouse dining is limited. I also suggest the plate as they put rice in the bowls. I haven't tried the sushirrito but I will the next time I go. read more

Food is tasty and a good value. But dang, dude serving me, do you have to wipe your nose right meow? And you just asked me to pass you some trash left on the counter, so you could take it while getting me my food? I'm sorry. I'm a pretty prosocial guy, but I don't work for you, and, more importantly, bro, now ain't the time. Call me squeamish, but if that's the way you roll (no pun intended), I will definitely not be coming back. I mean, if you're gonna be that shameless/clueless right in front of my face, what am I not seeing? I totally should've just walked out. Oh well. Seemed to be just one dude, so maybe the team will coach him up. read more

Great quality fresh and fast. Dinning experience is pretty horrible. The space is too small.

The bowl was flavorful - many choices of ingredients and sauces. The bowl came up tasting great. Fresh ingredients and healthy too! Option of brown or white rice plus a host of proteins from tuna, salmon, chicken, shrimp, spicy tuna etc. I will come back again! read more

I have never had poke before and I was kind of hesitant to try it, but I am so glad I walked in yesterday and got my first bowl! The staff was helpful and informative, selection made you WANT to try things and of course the food was amazing. I'll even admit, addictive! I came back today & got another bowl. I'm a fan. read more
