It's easy to pass this park by, as it's right before crossing a bridge. Sawfish Bay park seems…read moreprimarily designed for fishing and for canoe/kayak access. It's also a park currently in progress. There's a roundabout for dropping off your canoe/kayak/paddle board, and several launching spots. This side has a great view of the lighthouse and also provides access under the bridge. There is a one dock and another used-to-be-dock platform further down, plus a fish cutting station. The bay part looked pretty sad as it was pretty shallow, but that could have been time of day/year. This park is narrow and runs alongside A1A so it is loud from the road. Some old, historic trees have been preserved, but they are up against the roadway without any fencing: very dangerous. Behind the bay part are two historic buildings. One is a bright yellow beauty, the old train station, which apparently may be turned into a museum one day. The other is a historic DuBois house, currently under restoration. Most of the walk is paved. There are several covered picnic tables with benches, grassy areas for kids to run around, and a decent fence alongside the picnic part. I took a short walk along the paved pathways and saw an osprey.

I just moved to South Florida from Connecticut and brought my kayak with me in hopes of seeing some wildlife. My boyfriend doesn't have a kayak of his own and suggested we book a rental with a tour guide to show us around - I am so glad we did! Misty and her super cute canine, Abu, were the most amazing tour guides ever. Before our arrival, Misty kept in contact with excellent communication. She provided quality rental equipment, and not only did we feel very safe the entire time, she is an expert at spotting wildlife. The Peanut Island paddle was suggested for us - we were so blessed to see an abundance of manatees floating under us, a stingray, a starfish so big I almost called the Guinness Book of World Records (haha only half-joking!) and plenty of beautiful birds, lizards and fish. The excursion took about two hours and we never felt rushed at all, although it was just the right amount of time before we started to get a little tired. Can't thank Salty Dog Paddle enough for this incredibly special and very memorable experience. Misty was even thoughtful enough to take photos and videos for us which she sent after - she really was the best part of this experience for us!! Highly recommended!!!

Adam was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide and having Tammy, the manager along was a bonus. Obviously, spotting wildlife is never guaranteed but Adam was an expert in spotting everything from manatees, birds, fighting conch, Cassiopea jellyfish, and starfish. Tammy spotted a ray and a turtle that zoomed away before most could see it. Adam was good at keeping the group together and explained much about the area and wildlife. Great way to spend a morning in Jupiter in the water.

My friend and I both rented paddle boards from Jupiter. The staff was friendly and knew a lot about…read morethe sport. This place is not suited for beginners, from what we could see! You arrive and are responsible for driving the boards on top of your car (they provide straps and pads) to wherever you want to go. The staff does provide information as to where to go based on wind and current, but you're essentially on your own, so if you want a guide this isn't the best place to go! (Unless of course you sign up for a class, which according to their website is available). We went on the groupon deal, $30 for a day of soft top paddle boarding. They told us at the desk that if you come in and tell them you want the groupon deal, they'll give it to you, but it's better to pay them directly (vs Groupon) since they will receive a greater percentage of that money! Overall we had a great time with great equipment, and at a great price!

Extremely poor experience. I booked an overpriced lesson with them, drove an hour for it at 7 am…read moreon a Sunday morning, only to get a call 5 minutes prior to the start that it's cancelled. When I asked for them to return the funds they refused to do so. They did say they would give my son and I the lesson another time, but that they would be holding on to my money in the meantime. Of course there were no offers to pay me interest on those funds while they held them. Banks are a means to finance a business, not customers. Using customers to do so, canceling on them the last minute... it's not ok. Very poor experience.
