We split an oyster melt sandwich, albacore tuna sandwich, and their house made tomato/orange soup. You could tell the oyster and tuna both were very fresh and not canned or frozen nonsense. They said the tuna is sourced locally from Garibaldi area about 1/2 hour south of there. The strawberry lemonade had fresh strawberry in it and was delicious and not overly sweet. We then went for a very long walk on the beach to work it all off and came back few hours later to relax at the outside patio tables again and tried the dirty fries and salmon pita (BOTH DELICIOUS). and a must try too. The food here is different, unique, and not made how you would typically expect or get anywhere else. I thought the tuna sandwich would be boring but actually left me wanting more. We were sad upon return that we didn't get to try their CLAMS because they had run out since it's one of their most popular items, but we will DEFINITELY be returning to this place, and hope to be able to try their dinner menu sometime. Your lot was full, so we briefly parked on the street and were asked to move. That's fine, but it added time. When we got in, we were told it was a 45-minute wait and that we could get pastries to go. We started eating inside near the counter, but the owner asked us to leave the dining area. We ended up standing in the parking lot to eat, and my husband had to give himself an insulin shot out there, which was honestly embarrassing. In your reply, you mentioned patio seating and coffee, but none of that was offered to us. I understand that others may have better visits, but this was our experience and I think it is fair to share it. We were really disappointed with our experience at Wanda's. Parking was difficult, and after parking once we were told to move. Inside a 45-minute wait, so we opted for grab and go. Unfortunately, all 3 pastries tasted stale. Then, when we tried to find a place to eat them, we were told we couldn't stay and ended up eating standing in parking lot. The register guy simply replaced his bad coffee with another fresh cup and everyone moved on. In our opinion as business owners also, this is horrible customer service and a company who is only concerned about their pockets. Not repeat clientele nor a good reputation. They DONT care about anyone, (unlike what their signs try to portray), because THAT customer could have been one of their own, yet he still got treated horribly. A refund or added free treats for that customer, would have left a good experience for him and all who saw the incident, and only cost the business a few bucks, and possibly a write off. *POINT OF REVIEW: 'BEWARE' of businesses who virtual signal ANY political views or opinions, and simply go to those that welcome 'EVERYONE' with a simple smile and good customer service (period).

Nice spot for a quick break, but not someplace you go with your laptop for some wireless work.
