Omar filled in the details of the job to get us the right crew, and got us scheduled for the very next morning. Lorenzo and his team showed up early, communicated clearly, and holy wow did they work fast. In less than 90 minutes they moved what took our team 6 hours to do. AND they moved a fireproof safe by hand, with sheet strength and a good knowledge of physics. The cherry on top is the value - super-fair, plus a discount for booking through Yelp. For the $1700 I paid I didn't even get my entire house moved and am having to move the rest of my house myself and be aware if your outside a certain area they tack on a hefty fee. Also some of the furniture they moved was turned upside down or on its end and internals were a mess. We also had a cheap shoe rack that got bent up and had to be thrown away and we still can't find some of our cords and remotes, so we ended up purchasing replacements for those things. The guys were courteous and respectful overall, and thoroughly wrapped and blanketed needed items but man the value just wasn't there for me I'll definitely move myself next time.

I was a…read morerepeat customer of this moving company and am extremely disappointed with how our recent move was handled. The movers themselves were very kind and clearly doing their best. This review is not directed at them. The issue was poor management and lack of proper staffing for the job. During booking, I specifically explained that we had an extremely large and heavy dresser weighing several hundred pounds and was assured that a two-person crew would be enough. It quickly became obvious during the move that the workers were exhausted and overwhelmed, so I requested a third mover be added midway through. At one point, I asked management not to pressure or disrupt the movers because they were already stressed and trying their best. Instead, management immediately called them during the move, which noticeably increased the pressure and caused them to begin rushing. Shortly afterward, our brand new wooden floors were scratched and our $1,400 dog crate was broken. I understand accidents can happen, but this situation felt avoidable and directly related to poor management decisions and improper staffing. The entire experience became extremely uncomfortable and stressful for everyone involved. Again, the movers themselves were polite and hardworking, but because of the damages to our home and belongings, I cannot say the experience was worth the cost or that I would use this company again.

Communication was clear, they were on time (if not early which I love!), efficient, effective, fast, took care of items and so pleasant to work with! I was combining households with another family member so we were working with having to fit my furniture into her existing home and they were able to make it work which I thought was going to be impossible! We also had some items that needed to be hauled away and when I asked if they had a referral for me, Jonathan (the owner) offered to give us a quote on those items so we could have them removed that day as well. In addition to all of the amazing service that we received, they were by far the best value without all of the crazy tacked on fees that so many movers put on a move. I cannot begin to recommend Harder's Movers enough and will continue to do so and will defintely use them in the future for moves or when we need larger items to be hauled away. I called them and he said he would try to get his guys back out here to fix it. He never called back and left me hanging. I had to call a piano repair person to come here and fix the problem. He knew exactly what was wrong after telling him I had movers move the piano. The repair guy said they should have checked it to make sure it was all good before leaving, because when you turn a piano upright to move it the bar inside the piano that controls sustain will fall out of place and they should have known better. So, to sum up, the owner of Brazos movers should have told me his movers did not know squat about pianos, a $650 charge + tip. Then, he did not call me back to let me know his guys were coming the next few days to fix it. He just blew me off. Why? The movers don't know anything about fixing a piano if they break it. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.
