Crinkle fries with great seasoning and the homemade lemonade makes for great picnic meal. This is an order at the counter establishment, they have a combination of high tops and standard table seating. We opted for "to-go" so we could eat at the park. Small but effective space, there were about 10 people in there when we rolled through and didn't feel cramped much more than 20 would be tight. Clean, simply decorated and clear menu offerings. I have never heard of this place before my co-worker mentioned it. He loves it; when I asked what his favorite thing was, he said, the toast lol. I told him that isn't saying much, if it's a chicken place, he said the chicken was really good too and he said there was one near me. So I searched it out and tried it today...I have to say, it was incredibly disappointing. The chicken tender 5pc, is what my son and I both had. He substituted his coleslaw for more fries and I kept my slaw. The chicken tenders were just chicken tenders, there was nothing special about the breading, no original flavor, they were pretty small and just a fried tender. The coleslaw taste was fine- but it's diced, like an onion, tiny diced coleslaw- it definitely changes the texture and just gives it a weird mouth feel. The crinkle fries were okay, again, nothing special. And everything was incredibly salty. We were unable to finish it, the salt was overpowering both on the chicken and the fries. It may have been just the fries were over salty and the volume of salt encroached upon the chicken in the to-go box... I don't know, but it was too salty to finish. And the famous toast... just thick sliced toast. The price was doesn't hold up to what you're getting. It was $11 ($10.99) per 5pc tender meal, and does NOT include a drink. No drink? The prices were just too high for a less than average meal. I can say I tried it, but I can also say, once was enough for me. I will put a positive on for the staff, they were pleasant and the service was fast, but the reason to go in, the food, doesn't meet the price point. We visited this restaurant from out of town on vacation because it had good reviews, and we love chicken. It's one of the few things that I can eat. We went in and the atmosphere was nice, just your basic strip mall restaurant. We ordered chicken sandwiches, breaded tenders, and grilled tenders. I was really happy to see the option for grilled tenders because I have to avoid fried foods. We got our food in normal time, and it was delicious!! The Magoos sauce is unreal. The grilled tenders are great. The fried tenders are great. The sandwiches are delicious. The Texas toast is awesome. Portions are good amount. This new location opened up not to far from my job. It was lunch time so I expected it to be busy, but surprisingly it wasn't. The location isn't huge, but there is a decent amount of seating inside. Seeing that this was my first time there I ordered the 3-piece chicken tenders meal with a soda. The girl asked what sauce I wanted (if different from the Magoo Sauce you actually get) and I asked her where my options were on the menu. She pointed them out and I got Sweet Heat and Garlic Parmesan. Getting a second sauce was $0.59 more and wasn't worth it because I wasn't a fan of the Garlic Parm. But at least I know for next time. What bothered me about my trip was the service. I told the girl it was my first time there and I asked about my sauce options, however, there was a "sauced" option which meant the tenders get tossed in the sauce of your choice. AND the sauce choices are different if you order them that way. I found this out because my friend who ordered separately with the other cashier was advised of that option. I feel like that should have been explained to me as well and to any else asking about sauce options. Now, it wasn't that busy until after we (myself and 2 coworkers) got there so we figured we were safe on not having a long wait on our food. I was wrong! My and my friends got tenders and fries, but my friends "sauced" tenders took forever. People came after us and got their food faster. I'm taking about sandwiches and tenders too. I didn't understand what took so long. We had to ask 2x about her order until it finally came. Huey Magoos is a Central Florida-based chicken strip chain who knows two things: Chicken strips Sweet tea if Bubba loves shrimp, then Huey must love Chicken. He's got grilled chicken, fried chicken, chicken strips by themselves, chicken strips with dip, chicken strips in a wrap, chicken strips in a salad, chicken strips kid meal, chicken strips big boy meal. Huey Magoo's says they only use "premium" cuts of chicken and well it tastes fine to me. Compared to the competition, HM's gets it right. There's just enough seasoning (but not overdone). And the breading stays on the chicken. That three letter joint can't seem to figure out how to do that. It's also the only place I'll eat crinkle cut fries. Good seasoning here. Ok, so is there anything NOT to love about Huey Magoos? Cluck YES! They're as stingy with sauce as Zaxby's. On something like the wrap you can substitute the Huey Magoos's sauce for another sauce - but their serving is small - and if you need more (which ya do) it's an upcharge. It's the only reason why I don't go to HM's more. Turn off and a protest? Perhaps. They'd have five stars if not for that, but in this case they're kinda saved by the cookies (which are good) - so four stars out of five. But, beyond the number of stars, they miss out on being my lunch pick because of the sauce charge. Drop that and I'll be there more often. read more

I popped In because our usual place was super busy and I did not feel like waiting that long. When I arrives they did have a line for the drive they but I decided I wanted to go inside and see the place since it was my first visit. It was clean and had a few customers eating. When I got to the register to order the staff were super friendly which I appreciated a lot because it made me feel like they were happy to be at work which I love! The gentleman was training I think a new employee how to use the register and ring up orders. I ordered a family combo tenders and the sauces I got to get 4 total I went with bbq of course, ranch because it was homemade, sweet heat and their signature magoos sauce. I would say my favorite was the magoos sauce. It reminded me of zaxby's sauce but seemed to be fresher. I'm not sure if they make it in house daily where as Zaxby is manufactured in their sealed containers. The food was super fresh! I was also blown away with their tenders. We had been waiting for this location to open for about a month now so that we could try something new. We went in and had the three-piece chicken tender meal grilled and tossed in garlic parmesan and the five piece grilled chicken tender meal with a couple of dipping sides. When you order a five piece it does come with a coleslaw and french fries. All in all I would say that the chicken itself was fantastic but the portion sizes were very small. After eating my meal I was still pretty hungry. The staff was great and being a new location the restaurant itself was very clean and fully stocked. I would definitely come back since the whole meal only cost us $15, but I would order a much larger size. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. So happy this QSR opened up here in OCOEE! They pride themselves using the most tender part of the chicken which is the tenderloin. They use chickens that are steroid and hormone free!! This is one of my favorites for chicken tenders. They are large, juicy and full of flavor. They also give you a great selection of sides. I usually get a 4 piece sauces with Buffalo sauce, a side salad with fries and coleslaw. There prices also are very reasonable. The salad is a nice size appetizer with tomatoes, cheddar cheese and cucumber. The fries have a nice flavor and are not too salty. I usually get a five piece which comes with Texas toast, French fries, and coleslaw. I always substitute the coleslaw for an extra piece of Texas toast since I'm not a coleslaw fan and I really like the Texas toast. The fries are always seasoned really good. Due to the pandemic, I ordered to go and the fries got a little soggy, but that's expected when ordering to go. When you eat them fresh they are crispy and delicious. Tried this place for the first time and was happy with this choice. This newly built quick service restaurant is located in Ocoee across the street from Walmart and Orlando Health Central hospital. I came after work today and am happy to have hot food ready for me. I ordered via their online system, the 8 piece tenders for two. Half were breaded with their garlic parmesan the other half was grilled plain so we can dip them in either the honey mustard or spicy Magoo sauces that we chose. Unfortunately by the time I got home the fries were already soggy but they still tasted good when dipped. It's also served with Texas toast which was nice a buttery. I was a fan of the breaded garlic parmesan while my boyfriend liked the grilled tenders and honey mustard dip.
