I've been to this Popeyes location twice, and unfortunately both experiences were disappointing. The same employee took my order both times, and he came across as unfriendly and rushed, which made the whole interaction uncomfortable. It felt like I was being hurried through instead of being treated like a customer. On my most recent visit, the soda was coming out almost clear, so I politely let him know that the syrup seemed to be out. He simply said there was nothing he could do about it and dismissed me, offering no solution or apology. Basic customer service and willingness to help go a long way, and that was clearly missing here. When they first opened they were very courteous and would give you extra gravy if you liked and even offered honey for the biscuits. Now if you want extra gravy they charge you $3.93 for just a side of gravy and not even one single honey for the biscuits. I FINALLY tried the spicy chicken sandwich and it 100% lives up to the hype. We went through the drive through and it did take a while. However the sales associate offered us free drinks while we were waiting which was so nice! We got the sweet tea and danggg, it was SWEET, but so delicious. The spicy chicken sandwich was wonderful. This sandwich consists of a normal fried piece of chicken, but it's the sauce they put on it that makes it spicy. The sauce reminds me of Outback's Bloomin' Onion sauce, but a lot spicier. These sandwiches definitely have a kick to them so beware if spicy foods aren't really your thing. The sandwich is unique because it's not the breading that makes it spicy its the sauce. Visited this location a few weeks ago & just have been forgetting to leave a review. Finally, remembered just a minute ago & decided not to procrastinate any longer. Just had to leave a review for the employee, Vaughn, because of the excellent service he provided! We pulled in as we were on Colonial Dr., heading to Winter Garden & were greeted immediately as we pulled up to the drive-through intercom. The gentleman, whom we later found out was Vaughn, was lively & even made a joke while we were placing an order. He made us laugh & even made a suggestion for us after we ordered so we could get a combo & save money instead of filling our order as we requested. Of course, taking the option that still provided us what we wanted, but at a cheaper price was a no-brainer! When we pulled up to the window we asked the young lady making the transaction who the employee was on the intercom, she informed us that it was Vaughn. He came to the window to say, "hello," & we thanked him for his service. Unfortunately, they told us to pull forward because for some unapparent reason & we had to wait for quite a while for our food. But Vaughn brought our food out to with a big smile & his great personality, & made the wait worthwhile. Thank you, Vaughn!
