Deceptive advertising. Checked a used truck out on their web site. Set up a test drive and went through their check in process. Checked price again on Wednesday 8/9/23 evening. Go down this morning Thursday 8/10/23, test drive it, decide to buy it and even though the salesman pulled up the paperwork I had filled out online and saw the advertised price of $19,100.00 told me it was now $22,000.00 and would not honor the advertised price that was there the night before. read more

I am upset that I have to write a negative review, as my initial experience was great. I shopped around for cars on 1/21/20 and ultimately decided on a 2011 GMC Terrain. They closed before I made my decision that night and I had to work the next day, so I had to pick up the car and sign the paper work on the morning of 1/23/20. I was told that they had changed the oil and it had passed their "service test." I was very excited as I was desperately in need of a new car. Fast forward to not even two months later, (I hadn't drove the car more than 2,500 miles, and my miles did not exceed the mileage sticker they had put on the inside of my windshield from when they did the first oil change.) I noticed that it was making a loud rattling noise and would literally rock back and forth when I was stopped. My check engine light never once came on, however I knew that something had to be off, so I took it to my mechanic on 3/16. There was absolutely NO oil in the car, and my exhaust manifold was cracked. He called Heubner's and had me take it back to them. I get a call from Heubner's today, 3/17, and they tell me they need to do an oil change and an oil consumption test, and that I would be responsible for 1/2 of the cost of an oil change and to repair the cracked exhaust manifold. Not to mention I would have to drive back to Heubner's (over half an hour away) once a week to test the oil consumption. We clearly know that it is using oil too fast, so what's the point of this "test?" I feel as if they are just giving me the run around. Their main point is that since my warranty (1 month/1,000 mile) is up, barely, all they can do is pay for half. This was unacceptable to me, as I feel these are things that should have been caught before selling the car. Obviously my mechanic cannot do an oil consumption test by seeing the car one time. I also asked if I could just give them the car back and cut my losses. I did not ask for any of the money back that I put down, and they said that they could, but they would need to do an appraisal, and since there are issues with the car it would dramatically decrease the value. Obviously it was sold to me with said issues, I haven't had the car longer than two months and haven't even put 2,500 miles on it. My husband who has worked for a reputable car dealership told me that if this was his company, they would fix the issues at no cost to the customer in situations like these, because they want to keep their customers coming back and want to provide top notch service. Clearly this is not how Heubner's operates. I gave them every opportunity to make it right, and I feel as though they simply don't care now that they have my money. I hate that things had to come to this, as my experience with Kim was great and I have no animosity towards her whatsoever. She was great to work with. My disappointment lies within the service shop and management. I am just disappointed in the company overall. I hope this review helps others who may be considering purchasing a vehicle from here. read more

2007 Honda CRV owner... The back brakes sounded like a busted chainsaw. It was embarrassing to drive in town, yes, it was THAT LOUD. NOT ONLY did the price come in UNDER the estimate, they replaced the brakes and rotors in RECORD TIME. From the time I drove in at 8AM, I left approx 10:45 and had it washed for free. We were looking for a Wrangler for a few weeks. We were using Car Gurus, and found a lot of Jeeps to look at. This location kept popping into our search, but the distance was daunting. (73 miles from home.) We called ahead, verified that they still had the 2 Wranglers advertised. Then we indicated that we were driving a fair distance, and asked for a visual assessment of the vehicles. This salesman called us back with the down and dirty on both. The salesman was Shane, and he was straightforward, honest, and had a winning personality. The dealership was pretty easy to get to, and was on the main drag in Carrollton. The place was very professional, neat, and had lots of comforts for folks waiting for service. Every person we dealt with was excellent. BTW, Shane's assessment of the vehicles was spot on. He held nothing back. We purchased one of those Wranglers. Yeah...give me that 4WD for Cleveland winters!! My sweet little convertible is tucked in a garage, sleeping through the snow. I would happily drive 73 miles to buy another car from Shane and Huebner. These guys did not have the oily personalities of most car salesmen. I really enjoyed this experience. read more

First the positive. The buying experience with Vickie was smooth and hassle free. That is where the positive ends. Shortly after purchasing my truck I had to replace the tires, the power steering pump, the idler pulley, the harmonic balancer, and the belt tensioner. Grand total $3000.00. Now the transmission is failing. When I reached out to Vicki she said she would have service reach out to me. 5 days later and no contact. Now I can get no response from anyone including Vicki. I understand the concept of buyer beware, but when you buy a used vehicle from a dealer you expect to have some level of comfort that the vehicle has been looked over and issues have been addressed. The power steering pump was leaking fluid everywhere. They surely knew based on the fluid in their lot or an inspection of the undercarriage. I did not haggle on the price of the truck or my trade in value. I just wanted a simple transaction with some security that the truck would be reliable. I am extremely disappointed. read more

I had a very bad experience buying from Huebner. I bought this truck after finding it online. The vehicle was grossly misrepresented. Upon picking it up, the vehicle had scuffs / scratches / dents all the way around (front bumper / right side / rear of cab, rear tailgate, rear bumper). None of these were disclosed upon asking them about the truck, and the pictures were deceptive. Also upon picking up the truck, I found that the rear tires were almost wore down to an unsafe condition. Upon asking my sales rep. (Kira) to talk to the manager, she went and got him (Brad S.). He was absolutely the rudest, arrogant individual I had ever met. He offered to knock off $200.00. Upon me refusing that offer, he threw his papers down on the ground and told the sales rep. to "send me home", that he wasn't going to sell me the truck. Since I didn't like the way it was going with him, I told him I wanted to talk to the owner. He immediately said he was "busy". I told him I know the owner would want to know that he had an extremely unhappy customer on his hands. I told him to please go check. He stormed off, and said he was eating lunch. I once again told him I was sure he would want to talk to me about this issue to help resolve it. I've worked at dealerships, and I've always known the owners to be outstanding, and very understanding individuals. He once again stormed off and came back saying the owner said he would knock off $500.00, but that's it. "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT". I told him I wasn't happy, and that I felt I got taken advantage of. But he didn't seem to care. Am I happy about the deal? No, I am still not. On 3/17, I wrote an email to the General Manager after receiving a cookie cutter "How was your experience with us" email. I still have not received a reply from them, so it is obvious they don't care about unhappy customers. So my advice, stay away from this dealership... read more

I had the worst online buying experience through Huebner. Liars!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Delivered my truck to me out of state being pulled by another truck 2 thousand miles away. Exactly what I told them I did not want. I would have arranged my own transportation or paid more for this not to happen. I was told it would not be delivered being towed my another vehicle. My truck was covered in road debris and needs a complete detail which Huebner has not paid for. The guy towing my truck in his truck had spit out his window for 2 thousand miles and I had spit all down the drivers side of my truck. There was axle grease on the front of my truck as well. There are rock chips in the paint. The paint has swirl makers all over from the dealership washing it over the last year it sat on there lot. On or about Thursday, May 18, 2017, I saw a vehicle advertised for sale on-line by Huebner Chevrolet in Carrollton, OH. I called and spoke to a salesman. We discussed the vehicle. I told him I was calling from out of state and I was very interested in the vehicle. He said he would get back to me with answers to several questions I had regarding the service history and other details about the truck. I did not hear back from anyone until the following Monday, despite leaving several voice mails for both the salesman and the sales manager requesting a return call. I received a call from the sales manager Monday morning (around 11:00 Ohio time), apologizing for not returning my call and promising to have the salesman get in touch with me. At 3:15 that afternoon I received an email from the salesman with a walk-around video of the truck. After reviewing the video, I called back. I left a voice mail for the salesman indicating I wanted to make a deposit on the truck, and requested an immediate call-back. When I did not hear from the salesman, I also left 2 voice mails for the service manager indicating I wanted to make a deposit on the truck, and requesting an immediate return call. I never heard back from the sales manager. After 2 hours had passed, the salesman finally called me, and said there was another interested party in the truck, and I needed to make a deposit to keep it from being sold to someone else. He requested a deposit of $6000 (half the purchase price), and I authorized the deposit to be charged to my credit card. The salesman said he was going to calculate the taxes and additional fees that would be required to complete the sale, and get right back to me. I did not hear from him again until the next morning, when I received his text message saying the truck was sold "before I could get the deposit." It was clear that the salesman accepted my authorization for the deposit, and at that point the truck should have been considered sold to me. I spoke with the owner of the dealership on Tuesday, May 23. He offered a weak apology, said "this happens 4-5 times a month" and there was nothing he could do. He offered no explanation, justification or compensation for the dishonest, unprofessional and unethical way I had been treated by his dealership. Do yourself a favor (and protect yourself) -- do not do business with this dealership. read more
