I called Loudon Ford about a 2015 Jeep grand Cherokee. I live in Pennsylvania and the drive is 2 1/2 hours away. I arrive at the dealership and test drive the vehicle. I was already preapproved through my bank for the Purchase. During the test drive when I put the vehicle in reverse it stuttered a bit and I wrote it off as a coincidence and me getting used to the pedal because it didn't happen again out the door ended up paying $15,000 for the vehicle and as soon as I pulled off the lot check engine light came on as well as the light that said service four-wheel-drive. The dealership was closed when I left And since I live 2 1/2 hours away, I decided to drive Home and call them first thing in the morning. When I called them, they reassured me on the phone that Any issues like this and they said bring the And we'll take a look at it. I had the codes ran myself faulty O2 sensor amongst Other issues that seem to be more severe. They inspected the vehicle turned the light off And we're not Willing to help me fix the issue with the vehicle. They had me talk to sales management. I told them that I had suspicion that they had turned the light off and I felt like they were aware it was on and chose not to disclose the information voiding the as is sale. From this point on everything got out of hand. They became very defensive to the point Of calling the police on me after offering to help me fix it for 25% off. I accepted their offer for the discount But they still had me trespassed on the property So I was not able to accept the offer. Do you not Buy a used vehicle from them. If calling the police On a dissatisfied customer who is simply communicating Does not scream that something is off I don't know what does. Aside from the burden of selling a car they knew was messed up they had me drive 5 hours with my 7 month old son and his mother just to call the cops on me because I asked them questions that made them uncomfortable with what they had done. read more

I attempted to purchase a used vehicle from this company. After several attempts at financing the purchase it was denied. That is not the issue here thats just financing. The issue is "promises" made by the salesman who assured me if I came in he would get me into that car. So against my better judgement, I left work an hour early(saturday the 7th) went in and went through the process WITH THE UNDERSTANDING MY CHECK WOULD NOT BE CASHED unless the deal went through. Needless to say the salesman didnt contact me with any info after 3 or four attempts on monday the 9th. Finally the dude tells me I had to go to the credit union myself and get a personal loan. Well I chose to end the process with Him stating he would" make sure my check wasnt cashed". Well of course it was and now I have to wait for these jerks to cut me a check back due to the OWNER steping in when they said i could come and get it today (the 13th) and I cant get my money back till the 18th. Clutch replacement September 2022 has turned into a nightmare. Received call after service in September the quote increased By approximately $300. Asked why so much more and was told I had requested a transmission flush,which I had not. Louden Ford stated I refuse to pay. Have had car back to service department at Loudon Ford so many times I've lost count and yet clutch remains spongy and will not disengage which keeps cruise control from engaging. Have to pull clutch pedal up manually after shifting in order for cruise control to work. Certainly every part involved is being damaged each time the vehicle is driven. Service department at Louden Ford consistently insists cruise control and clutch are working fine. Even if Louden Ford would Return my calls or text, most certainly the outcome would remain the same. This disastrous experience with Louden Ford has cost me not only an extreme amount of money but an enormous amount of stress. I have contacted the general manager, and have had No Reply! The Ford Corp. customer service advised me to take the vehicle to a different Ford dealer as the Louden Ford dealership refuses to repair the vehicle properly and refuses to contact me regardless of the fact there is a warranty on the (in adequate) repairs. Loudon Ford has completely taken advantage of a disabled senior citizen! Terrible business practices, a business with no morals. Loudon Fords ownership should be made aware of this travesty. Purchased a used car "as is" of course, but also purchased a service contract. Took car in for a repair and claim was denied. After several attempts to find out why, they finally told me me "Since we knew the car was making a noise from the rear differential before selling it to you, it is considered a pre existing condition and is not covered. " So basically, they sold me a car with a known issue, sold me a service contract that they knew would not cover said issue. And smiled as I walked away. As a business owner myself, I really try not to give bad reviews because I know there is always two sides to the story. However, this place has terrible customer service and legit avoids you when you don't just agree to purchase vehicle for what they have it listed for. In the beginning the sales person was helpful until I was asking too many questions and not wanting to pay 20k over KBB value so I moved on. Then they contacted me again so I pursued the vehicle again, still no help on their end and they avoid my calls and even ignored a call from my loan officer. Tried to deal with Danny from Loudon Ford via email on a 2017 F250 King Ranch. I was already pre qualified for the loan and had cash down. I laid out exactly what I had (I don't play games with haggling back and forth). I asked if the online price was the best price they could do since it was priced at the top of the KBB range to see if they were willing to come off sticker at all, but still stay within KBB range. Just got a rude email repeating the sticker price, along with a nice follow up email where Danny felt the need to enlighten me on his sales background (like I care). Dealer ship hides behind "best price online, no haggle" in order to get sticker price. Unwilling to negotiate whatsoever Edit: So it's been a few days and Danny still continues to harass me via email despite being told not to email me again. set up a appointment to come pick up a vw bug appointment was at 6 didnt start getting service till 2 hours later. (i already did everything online for them just had to sign papers) sales person was shady. i live out of state. they sent me the me the memorandum title and no check to cover the reg, plates or taxes. after a conversation they final agreed to send a check. it was only for the taxes because the paperwork specifically said sales taxes. called them today and they said they don't pay for plates and registration and the guy hung up on me. I currently have 3 other vehicles bought from Ohio and all have paid for the plate and registration. they collected a 250 document fee which every other dealership the document fee is for the plate and registration. On 12-17-19 we took our 2005 expedition in to have the spark plugs replaced(it has 121k miles so they needed replaced). When we took it in there were no issues, no engine codes nothing. They said the replaced them charged $663 no issues. Fast forward to 4-20, 6 months later we've put less than 2500 miles on it since and one of the plugs failed. The end broke off in the engine which caused the check engine light to come on saying there was an issue with cylinder 6. My husband checked it and discovered it had broke. The spark plug he pulled out looked old and corroded, not 6 months old. He replaced the plug(so he could still drive it to them) and he called to have them look at it. The customer service we received was crap! They swear up and down they were replaced and didn't care that the one plug prematurely failed. Blamed us, blamed the plugs but not their service. So were are out nearly $700 plus the NEW plugs my husband just put in it. He was able to take the other plugs out BY HAND without using a wrench, that's how loose they were!!!!! I wouldn't take a bicycle to these hacks! Crap customer service and crap parts. Don't waste your time or money, find another dealer!!!!!! read more

We were happy with the quick response when we called, we were able to get in the vehicle in just a few minutes, and they were accommodating to our family when we showed up to hang out for awhile. Very helpful, Tony helped me the entire time. He was able to answer all my questions, and was good at follow-up conversation. While we didn't purchase the vehicle (didn't meet our needs) we thought that the service we received was 5-star. Note: we did actually go to the dealership and talk in-person - in light of the other review of an out-of-town purchase, I don't have experience with that. Hope this helps! read more

I made an appt to see a very specific vehicle, but after driving an hour to get there, they were in the process of closing on it with someone that just showed up. I decided to test drive a 2nd best option, and decided to buy despite it not being exactly what I was there for. I spent most of a Saturday waiting for them to process everything and hand over the keys...not kidding 5+ hours. I should have just walked away. On my way home, I realized I had left my ez-pass in my old car and immediately called and asked if they could mail it to me...I had to call back a few times before it actually showed up almost 3 weeks later. Fast forward to registration, I was told they would transfer the registration from my old plate to my new car, but when I went to get the new registration on my birthday, the plate was still registered to my old car. On top of that, they never sent my memorandum title so that I could get the registration, so I had to take care of that. Their purchase price was listed on the title which was almost $10K less than the $22,500 they would not budge on when I asked if they could get any lower. Purchased 2004 F250 from Loudon Motors via the internet. Vehicle was delivered to me in Arizona on 5/23/14. I immediately took the truck to a Ford Dealer in Arizona for a safety inspection and to purchase the extended warranty. During the inspection it was noted that there was a rear main seal leak which cost $1300 to repair. (Repair was made on 5/27/14) I notified Paul on 5/24/14 and requested assistance from Loudon for this unexpected repair. Paul forwarded my email to Todd who responded on 5/27/14 indicating that "we completed an inspection on this vehicle and we did not find anything like you are stating wrong with the truck". However, the Loudon Internal Repair Order Detail on my truck indicates that "the tires are dry rotted". They admitted this was incorrect as the tires were good, so their inspection is not as accurate as they believe. So, if their inspector was wrong about the tires; why couldn't he be wrong about the rear main seal leak? I notified Loudon employees about this issue and no one told me to get pre-authorization for the repairs or pictures of the leak. Now that the repair has been completed, they refuse to provide any assistance or any coverage even under the 90 day Limited Warranty Agreement. Loudon - "Our top priority is to ensure that our customers are completely satisfied with their experience, which is why we are COMMITTED to providing the absolute BEST quality of customer service possible" Not in my book! I spent $30k for the truck, $1400 for it to be transported to me and drove it only 20 miles (to the Arizona Ford dealer for a safety inspection) only to be told by Loudon Motors "there was nothing wrong with the truck when it left their lot". I've even registered my complaint with Ford Motor Company. read more

I purchased a C-Max Energi from them through the internet in December 2014. I negotiated the price via email before hand. I asked for an out the door price and explained that registration fees in Florida were $194. I drove over 1600 miles round trip to pick the car up. Weeks later I still hadn't received my registration. After a few days of asking questions I was told that they would be registering the car in Ohio and it would be my job to pay to register it in Florida. I reminded them by showing the emails in which they quote me an out the door price after telling me what the price is before "ttl" (tax, tag, and license). I showed them where I told them specifically how much it would cost to register the car in Florida and how I added that along with the price of the car plus tax to get to the out the door number. They had the gall to tell me that out the door pricing doesn't cover registration and that my itemized explanation of what the out the door costs would include was just an offer they didn't accept. I have never dealt with a car dealership as underhanded and untrustworthy as this one and I have dealt with many car dealership both for myself and for helping others buy cars as I used to sell them myself. You would be well served not to even contact this dealership if you are in the market for a vehicle. read more

I purchased my truck from Loudon Motors of Minerva in September of 2015. Was treated very good as a client. I brought my truck in for its first service, with 4200 miles on it, on December 23. I recvd a call in the afternoon stating my truck was wrecked! I couldn't believe it. I even asked them if they had the correct vehicle owner. As it turns out, of one the service reps took it out for a test drive to see if he could identify a noise, and lost control, sheering a telephone pole completely along w a mail box, sent the truck airborne, then took 120' to come to a stop. All at 40mph!?!?? When I initially met w the GM, I was confident that Loudon would do the "right thing" and make it right. I called the GM the Saturday afterwards, and conveyed to him I did not want the truck back due to the lie and the abuse the service rep put my truck through. He said he would work w me once the insurance est came back. I put $10k down & made 3 pyts. In order for me to get into an exact match, I would have to invest $7k more. They want it repaired, and then would offer me $1k for my inconveniences, & 6-8 weeks w out my work truck. I call BS. Its in the shop for 2 weeks now after 3 weeks of them dragging their feet &/or not responding to my communication(s), and will be in for another 2 weeks. There are over $16k in body damages, close to $2k in front axle and steering where the front axle has shifted 2" towards the driver side, and we haven't got to the mechanicals yet. I'm sure you know what takes place next. I know what the state laws requires them to do. But even at that, they haven't ponied up to their social requirements thus far. I suggest, that if your car needs driven by a service rep, from anywhere, you should be with the vehicle at all times. I know this doesn't seem like much to you, but you have no idea what a set back, or major headache this can be. I am a small business that relies on my equipment. I select carefully because I need dependability. I worked hard, and saved hard to be able to acquire this vehicle. Its unfortunate for me, that I will be taking a major setback financially that will not get recouped. My one and perhaps only positive in this aftermath is, I think I have real good people working on it, to get it back to close as possible. Once again, the small guy gets dumped on. read more
