Endless Energy - Framingham MA - Fujitsu Heat Pump repair by Endless Energy

Garret, Gavin, Keith, and Rich handled the installation and did an exceptional job. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through everything--from how the system works to setting up the thermostat and even how to replace the filter. Their workmanship and communication were top-notch. I also want to recognize Nick and the team working behind the scenes. Nick has helped us through our no-heat situation, put together our proposal quickly, and arranged a weekend installation to make sure we weren't left without heat. His coordination and responsiveness really stood out. Every part of this experience was handled with care and professionalism. I would recommend Endless Energy to anyone without hesitation. Todd R

Endless Energy installed a Fujitsu heat pump system in my home in October 2022 through the Mass…read moreSave program, and it has never worked properly since day one. From the start, the system constantly shut down and threw error codes. We were actually told by their team that shutting off power to our entire house for 30+ minutes to reset the system was an acceptable solution--something we had to do multiple times per week (and sometimes multiple times per day). That alone should have been a huge red flag. Winters were even worse. We haven't been able to use it at all during the coldest months and were told that just happens in New England winters. We've been forced to rely heavily on expensive oil heat while still paying for this system. They attempted a few fixes over the first couple years, including installing a surge protector, but nothing ever solved the issue. The system continued to fail repeatedly and has now been completely unusable since December 2025. We recently had an independent electrician evaluate it, working directly with Fujitsu, and the system now needs a new compressor and control board. Even more concerning, it appears likely that the root issue may stem from the original installation or wiring--something that was questionable from the start. The installers often seemed inexperienced and had to call others for guidance several times during the install. To make matters worse, Endless Energy now wants to charge us just to come out and diagnose a system they installed that has never worked correctly. They are apparently under new ownership with significant staff turnover, and at this point have been completely unwilling to take responsibility or meaningfully help resolve the situation. After 3+ years of issues, missed work for service calls, ongoing loan payments, and thousands spent on backup heating, I have zero confidence in their ability to fix this. I would strongly caution anyone considering using Endless Energy.

Because of the style of our house, we were also told in no uncertain terms that the insulation would have to be put in from the interior of the home. So we spent weeks preparing by pulling everything off the walls and packing up my husband's small collectibles and moving all of the furniture in every room to the center. And we had to remove the beautiful real wood paneling in our dining room so that they wouldn't drill into it. It's the good stuff, not the cheesy 70s stuff. When the insulation company came, they drilled holes in four different rooms. Every room had insulation. We then had to patch and paint every hole and put everything back where it came from. It was a horrible experience with very little in the way of an apology from the company. When the team came to do the insulation and discovered that it wasn't needed, they asked who had done the evaluation, and when we said Brian, they said that that made sense. Apparently this isn't the first time that something like this has happened to someone. That is shameful! They did nothing to help our energy consumption.

Don't plan on saving ANY money unless you have oil or electric baseboard and you may need a new 200-A electrical panel to accommodate the heat pump load. ZERO stars for Homeworks. If this was a publicly-traded company, I would short the stock…read more My Homeworks saga has been going on for more than a year. They were hired to upgrade an electrical panel and install and heat pump hot water heater. From the beginning, there were some red flags. The wrong team (insulation) showed up for an energy audit for HVAC services. I was sent a quote intended for another customer - and it took over a week of back-and-forth with three people to get the right quote. Still, I signed up because I've had some sub-optimal experiences with small contractors, and the larger Homeworks organization appealed to me. I was also buying the convenience of one-stop shopping for MassSave and Heat Loan processing. Big mistake. One year update: 1) Heat pump hot water heater does not work. 2) I have been bounced-around to numerous people. In total, at least 20 people have been involved in the installation of the hot water heater. 3) I ended up directly managing the subs on the project (plumbing and electrical). This was done out of necessity, not preference. 4) A final electrical inspection was done, and then re-scheduled twice because the electrician didn't have a process for accurately recording project inspection status. 5) I am convinced that decarbonization/electrification efforts in progressive states like Massachusetts will fail if my experience is at all indicative of what it's like trying to replace gas-fired equipment. I should note that the quality of the work performed, once it was performed, was quite good. The issues with Homeworks are less about the work done in the home and more about the people working in the office. This company is in desperate need of restructuring, overhead reduction, and a stronger focus on operations. It would be a good business school case study. If you can find good contractors, I recommend hiring direct and navigating rebates and Heat Loan financing on your own. Avoid the Homeworks morass if you can!

Mark took whatever time was necessary to air seal in our unconditioned attic, install baffles, and also ensure that the insulation which was poorly placed on the surface was cut down properly so it could be in contact with the attic floors. I don't know how much energy savings air sealing will do for me as my newer house was already pretty comfortable before embarking on this project, but I am confident that this project has been completed in the most competent manner possible. I did receive quotes which were a lot less than Mark's, but still chose to hire Mark for the job since he seemed like he was going to take the time to do it correctly. After seeing how big a job it was, I really don't feel confident someone would have been able to do the job right at those lower quotes. The project ended up being about 4.5 days of work where Mark had to crawl through insulation for many hours to get the job done.
