I called HVAC Expert and they were extremely helpful and immediately advice me steps that I could do on my own to try to fix my problem. I got off the phone with them , spend 20 minutes to changing filters and checking my furnace unit as recommended and nothing work. Call them back and they managed to squeeze me into the last appointment of the day. The technician showed up at 8.30 PM on snowing Saturday night and found the problem , fixed it within 30 minutes. The technician that was really nice and polite , explain what the issue and how we could avoid it again in the future. He was also apologetic because he was half hour late which I was more thankful that he actually came out even though the weather was bad. He was stuck in the snow on his previous appointment. Price was quoted before the tech came out and they stayed true to their price. No extra hidden cost threw in on the bill. I definitely recommend them.

Step 3: start looking for 24/7 plumber Turns out some 24/7 plumbers aren't actually aren't. First one I tried didn't get back to me for hours. Second one said they would get back to me during regular business hours on a recorded message ( err 24/7?? ) AA Rapid Plumbing was next - they answered the phone - with a human! A friendly helpful human. At this point I (ok my husband) had turned off the water and it was super late so we requested Sunday morning service. Sunday arrived and Cesar appeared smiling at our door. In an attempt to fix it ourselves we thought we should definitely rip it off the wall. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Cesar however was able to replace the bits we messed up and get everything working nicely again. He did require a part that was not in his van but instead of making us wait for an ordered part, he found it at a nearby store and picked it up. There was an extra charge for this but we were just relieved it was an option. Overall we were very happy with the plumbing service received and will use again. No negatives to mention. (Cesar also gets extra points from our dog Ripley who adored him.)

We asked him to replace our aging central A/C with a quieter one. He suggested using a heat pump to reduce overall utility bills and assured us that modern, efficient heat pumps are very quiet as well. He quickly provided a firm quote (not an estimate) for the work of putting in a heat pump that works with our existing furnace (which he said had 12-15 more years of service in it), and, at our request, installed a whole-house humidifier to combat static electricity jolts in the winter. He chose parts from several manufacturers to get us a high performance system at an excellent price (as compared with telephone quotes from others). The heat pump was installed 3 business days after the quote and the humidifier the following day. The work was prompt, very carefully done, included hauling the old unit away, testing the new one and explaining its operation to us. Bob was assiduous in keeping dirt and rain out of the house and cleaning up the work site. The unit has been running for five days now, and in DC's crazy Spring weather, has worked both to heat and cool the house. With the new system we have more even temperatures throughout the house than we've ever had before. We'll continue to use Bob at PCS to maintain our system in the future. We recommend him highly.
