Food was very good. Small building with counter seating, booth and tables that made it cozy. Very busy when we got there and the tables were cleaned quickly for the next bunch. Our waitress was very good for being there 10 hours. Would eat here again! Has breakfast lunch and dinner.

Decent breakfast. Came here en route to returning to Chicago from Memphis. I took a chance on this place because of some of the "iffy" Yelp reviews but good thing I took a chance. When we walked in the door, all the staff gave us a friendly greeting. Plus 1 for service! The waitress was nice and helpful. I grabbed the stuffed hashbrowns, pulled pork and bacon. It was good. The gravy was decent, very hearty and the biscuit was cooked perfectly. Good spot for a quick breakfast.

This table of food is just two MVP platters, which are $8 each. Everything was perfect!

I've been here a dozen times over a few years, and have never had a bad experience. It's good enough that we stop here to eat on Our way to Memphis. They have an insanely huge breakfast platter for $8, and dishes as cheap as $3-$5. Huge variety of selection. I honestly look forward to eating here. It's a roadside diner in a small Delta town, so don't expect a spotless and upscale experience. This is buttery, fried, tasty diner food, plus a wild mix of seasonal selections on the menu.

This is a decent, family-owned restaurant. Much of the food appears to be made from scratch. The owners are accommodating folks. The Mrs. will answer any questions posed to her. The Mr. is a bit of a character, and may give you some sarcasm and a bit of attitude. (If you realize that, then your visit should be fine. He means no harm.) Their food is served on "real" dishes made of ceramic (not plastic). However, iced tea, soda pop, and other cold drinks are served within hard, plastic cups. They have a full menu of food, but also offer daily specials. I've had the pleasure of enjoying two (2) of the lunch specials: 1) The country-fried steak is tasty, moist, and nicely breaded 2) Even more delicious is their chicken and dumplings with homemade cornbread! There are hearty chunks of meat swimming within this generous dish along with well-prepared dumplings. Be sure to watch for a piece or two of chicken bones, though. Homemade, indeed! The paved parking lot is more than adequate, given the size of the building. There's additional parking on crushed rocks, located in the back. Despite there being only about three customers during a weekday afternoon, the waitress was distracted by her phone, and didn't refill my drink until prompted by me. The restaurant is located across the street (north of) from the Family Dollar store. I recommend this eatery, and plan on returning again. (My pictures were posted by Yelp elsewhere, within the photos section of this business.)

I ordered a medium rare ribeye, which was slightly overcooked but still a very good cut of meat. I did not care for the coleslaw or the gouda macaroni and cheese. The meal was served with toast. Any establishment that must function understaffed should be like Nashville clubs and set out a jug of water so people can refill their cups on their own. They took my drink order at 7. There were no empty seats at the bar so I sat alone at a table. The experience was OK but they need at least one more server. The only reason they get by with charging over fifty dollars for the steak is because there's literally no other place within 40 miles you can get a good steak. The sides are below average. The servers are friendly but obviously overworked. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of parking.

The restaurant portion of the building was almost empty, and I was seated almost immediately, but I was placed at a table in a high traffic area next to the kitchen. After a while, I flagged down an employee since it was unclear to me who my server was. I put in an appetizer order of their heavenly eggs. They included a wonderfully tart sauce, and the serving size was three eggs. The mushroom gnocchi that I had was delicious, and enough to feed two people. The potato dumplings were expertly made, and some of the best that I've ever eaten. Other than the service being a bit hit and miss, I would return if only for the excellent food.

I also tried a bite of the barbecue bologna, which is a thick-cut slice served on white bread, and that didn't disappoint either. Inside gets pretty smoky, so you'll probably prefer sitting outside. Luckily, there are plenty of picnic tables and seating areas to choose from. No that would be soft serve was the answer. They do have real ice cream too. We were a bit slow on the uptake, and our sweet counter girl, Emily, who was in her 20s but looked 15, patiently explained the ice cream came in a cup and the milk shakes were soft serve only, because evidently their shake machine can't handle the hard real stuff. We caved, got soft serve. We wanted malts not ice cream sprinkled with malt. *sigh.* Bella, Michael and Kennedy looked on, in training with our youthful trainer, and Kennedy remarked, "You're living on the edge," It was her first day. The place also had other retro food, except for the seed oils, which meant shakes only for us.
