Found this on Yelp as I was searching this morning for a spot to stop for lunch on our way home…read more It is a quick two miles off of I-95. It was fast, good, and easy (not to mention inexpensive). Stay focused... I am talking about lunch. When you arrive, the parking lot might be full (it was when we arrived), almost always a good sign. You can grab a spot on the street or behind the now mostly defunct main street. When you walk in, you glove up and start serving yourself from the buffet. Someone will take your drink order (ours was taken as we were going through the line), then find a seat. I didn't know what fatback was, but I had already Googled it before we arrived, so I easily identified it. After one bite, I decided my dentist might become richer if I continued to try to chew it. The fried chicken was good but a bit salty. The fried pork chop was good as well, but I would have mistaken it for fried fish if I hadn't read the menu. Smoked sauage, yum. The biscuits looked good, but I took (and ate) the cornbread but would not have known what it was if I didn't have the cheat sheet. The salad bar was primarily lettuce. They had a few salad toppings, but the tongs were short and difficult to use. I suspect most people do not come here for salad. Oh, did I mention dessert? Huge cinnamon rolls and something chocolate with pudding and cookies. It fit the bill for what we were looking for.. a quick, inexpensive sit-down lunch.

Fast and efficient service. Called in an order for a couple of breakfast sandwiches to pickup and…read morego. They had a couple of patrons sitting at tables, one way back in a fancier back room. Apparently that was causing some strife between the two wait staff.. one wearing a "Dream On" shirt told the other staff member that she was angry with her because of having to keep walking to that back room table, and apparently felt she wasn't getting any help. The other staff member helped me, and was pleasant enough to me, but the mood was definitely dampened... no Southern hospitality at that moment. This all played out while my sandwiches were bagged up and my change was made. The egg sandwiches were exactly as ordered - they folded the cheese into a scrambled fried egg, which was a nicer touch than plopping it on top. And, their country ham was quite good.

We had Thanksgiving lunch at this Bojangles in Dillon, South Carolina. Yes, this review is months…read morelate. Better late than never. The short version: The food was OK, the Pepsi Zero Sugar tasted bad, and the service was fine except there was no soap in the men's restroom. The dining room and restroom were clean. This experience averaged out to two stars for me. Could've been better. The long version: My wife had a 4-piece Chicken Supremes (chicken tenders) Combo with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, and Honey Mustard for her sauce. I had a Cajun Chicken Filet Biscuit Combo ($7.09) with Bo-Tato Rounds, a.k.a. Bo Rounds. The total for this meal for two was $17.69 after tax. The tenders, Cajun chicken biscuit, and sides were good enough and what I've come to expect from Bojangles/fast food. That said, this particular order was below average compared to my other Bojangles experiences. The food was too salty (saltier than normal) and something was off with the Pepsi Zero Sugar. It was gross. I took a couple sips and threw my drink away, which I rarely do, and I drink diet soda almost everyday. There weren't many customers on Thanksgiving Day around 1pm. We were one of only two or three tables dining in at any given time. The drive-thru was open. The restaurant closed early at 2pm. We stopped by this Bojangles because we were on our way from North Carolina to Georgia on I-95. This Bojangles is located off exit 193. There are several gas station and fast food options just off this exit. However, to get to this Bojangles, you do have to drive into town. Therefore, it's not the quickest option. Places like Taco Bell, Cook Out, Popeyes, and Wendy's on highway 57 are faster because they're much closer to the interstate. In general, I like Bojangles and would give location another shot.
