My family stopped here on the way to Florida. The overall service was great and the portion sizes were large. We ordered the MVP platter. The bacon was hot and crispy, the eggs were scrambled to perfection, the grits were hot and buttery, however they needed a lot of salt and pepper before they tasted like anything. The waffle was crispy but too much butter is added. The hashbrowns were good but could have been cooked a few minutes longer. The waitstaff was attentive and very pleasant. I have eaten at many Waffle House and Huddle House. I say that because they are similar but this Huddle House is by far the worst. Slow service, wrong order and the plates had huge amount of oil on them. Do not eat here. read more

Service was absolutely horrible. No one said anything to us the first 5-10 mins we were standing in the restaurant at the door. There was only two other tables seated at this time. The first night was pleasant enough and the food was good. Was initially ok with the fact that this was the only available food near the hotel. The second night, there was a different cook. The restaurant was busy upon my arrival and when I sat at the bar to order, the staff began asking each other if it was 10:00 yet assuming that was the time they close. The waitress was busy and let diners at the counter know she would be with us in a few. I stated take your time, I see that you are busy. The cook then decided to turn around and tell me that I must not have seen she was busy or I would have kept going. I assume meaning that I should have found another place to eat. As if this was not bad enough, she then turned to the waitress and asked her if she had heard what she told me and said it to her again, I guess to drive the point home. Good thing this is the only food available or this type of customer service would probably get the place closed rather quickly unless folks like to be abused. read more

Got the steak and shrimp dinner and it wasn't at all as bad as I thought it was going to be. The ladies who work there are also lovely and kind. This huddle house has the capability to be the best in the nation. Sadly this isn't the case and that falls in with the management and the staff. Hands down one of the worst dining establishments I have ever been to. We sat at a table close to the corner of the restaurant and noticed a table in the corner had dirty dishes, napkins, and silverware covering the entire table, this stayed like that for the whole time we were there. I could see if they were really busy then ok but we were the ONLY people in there! After we gave our drink order 2 of the 4 people in our group got drinks but the other two went without for 15 mins. They were out of several common menu items, all the servers seemed aggravated and bothered with us being there. Our seats were positioned so we could see the kitchen and almost everything that comes out of it is microwaved and comes out of plastic Tupperware. We got our food one at a time 3-15minutes apart of each other and to our surprise she tossed us some plastic fork and knife packs! Myself being curious asked why no silverware and she replied "they have been throwing them away", but after about 10 minutes of trying to force this crap of an excuse for food down another group sits down and gets silverware as soon as they order while we try not to push too hard on our middle school forks in fear that they would break. Needless to say our food and drinks were less than I would give to my dog. Dirty dishes were covering the counter stacked against the milkshake machine. When it came time to pay the two servers couldn't remember which one took our order and once that was settled she couldn't remember what we ordered! We payed $70 to be treated like a burdon and given crappy food with even worse service. We are all very good tippers in restaurants but this place did not do anything tip worthy.
