Huck's Classic Pioneer Burger and Huck's Classic Dill Pickle Soup.
    Kat W.

Wetaskiwin doesn't have many restaurants but they do have some gems! The Huck's Classic Pioneer burger was DELICIOUS! The soft fresh and tasty baked bun paired well with the fire grilled ranch raised Alberta beef patty. Classic burger. Amazing taste! I opted for a side of Huck's Classic Dill Pickle Soup - so good! A bit salty but to be expected with pickles. Lastly I shared a slice of Huckleberry pie with my husband. Not too sweet with just a little tart. You could see clearly the star of the dessert were the berries. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant had a cozy country saloon type vibe. The restaurant is located in a small town in the country so it was very appropriate. They still had some cute Valentine's Day decor. I would say it's a family friendly restaurant. They had high chairs available. A couple of dishes could be made into kid meals though they didn't have a distinct kid menu. There were quite a few people eating during this Family Day holiday weekend. Honestly, if this place were closer to home, I would come back for the burgers and the pickle soup. I had a wonderful experience here. I recommend!

Yummy! So many good food option! Plenty of parking space. The interior design is cute, plenty of seating. Ordered the Dill Pickle Soup, Chicken Georgia, Dustin's steak and a slice of huckleberry pie with ice cream. Everything was delicious. They even gave complimentary bun for each person which was great to use to dip the dill pickle soup with. Definitely a must try!

Lunch Costs Less in Wetaskiwin. . Did a little day trip to check out cars and stop in at my fave little gem in Wetaskiwin a while back, but still merits a review. . Honestly the best group of people working there who are kind and actually love their colleagues and job. . 1) famous dill pickle soup and roast beef sandwich. ($11.99) ....loveee the pickle soup and keep coming back for it. It's nostalgic for me. The roast beef sandwich wasn't my fave. I liked the pulled pork much more.... sooooo delish. - 2) Southern Orange Amaretto Chicken Stir Fry. ($17.99) This was a little on the sweet side and should've been ordered with rice instead of fettuccini. . Overall still 10/10 recommend going here. great service great atmosphere great staff great food for a great price Huckleberrys, thanks for l lovely meals with your amazing staff

Roast beef melt and house citrus salad!

I'm so glad we decided to stop in here while out on our inspections! The place itself is pretty cute - They are going for a country/western vibe and doing a pretty good job! The food is soooo good; I went against the grain and instead of ordering the beef which I'm sure is amazing bc they are boasting a lot of ranch type menu items, I ordered a roasted vegetable quesadilla. It had asparagus, brocolli, red peppers, grated carrots, raisins and Brie and was served w a honey yogurt dipping sauce. It was really surprising how well all the flavours went together! My friend had the roast beef melt with a side citrus house salad / she also said her meal was amazing! I knew there was no way I could leave without trying he huckleberry pie / it was served w vanilla bean ice cream. I also took home a slice of their whiskey cake - it was amazing but was pricey for how small the piece actually is! I will now always have a place to go in wetaskiwin!!!!

The slice of huckleberry berry pie ( which was okay tasting) was only a sliver. Cost almost $9 ! Shrink-flation? Bit of a rip.

Nice quick service, order ready in 10-15mins…read more Food wasn't any special, had the worst fried rice I've had in a long time.... I love fried rice!!! It tasted like burnt soya sauce. The deep fried shrimp and the sweet and sour pork tasted good, no complaints. Too bad about the rice!! .

This place was a pleasant surprise! Went to get some Chinese…read moreon a Monday night before my buddy headed off to work. Hadn't even thought of going to this place because it's housed in the old KFC that sucked and a old donair shop that sucked too. So.. tried calling calling another place and it would ring once then sounded like someone picked up then you'd say hello for another 15 seconds then hang up. I musta called like 10 times because I thought the phone was broke. Small business need our support so I even went as far as to call Telus so see if the phone was broke. She called and had the same outcome. I went over there to let them know their phone was buggered up and to order because they had such good reviews. I pull up there and go to open the door and almost dislocate my shoulder because the door is locked. Gawd are you serious? Why wouldn't they have that on their phone message. I was more worried about their company than they were worried about their customers. No big deal we have a few of these places in town so I'm gonna hit up the other one just across the street. We pull up and guess what? They're closed too! WTF it's Monday why are you closed? This isn't 1960. With our stomachs starting to growl I remember the crappy old KFC building with the newer Chinese joint so we header on over. Ordered up at the counter and the lady was very nice. She repeated my order back like 3 times. She said come back in 15 min to pick it up. In 15 I came back and it was hot and ready. I drove about 10 min to my house and got it in the house, opened up the bag and first thing I noticed was there wasn't any sticky stuff at the bottom of the bag. Awesome! Everything was packed well in good quality take out cartons. We all dished up and WOW did it taste good. Ginger beef, beef and greens, spicy shrimp and greens, chicken fried rice, deep fried shrimp and the old standard chicken balls (wish they'd change the name). This place was the best tasting Chinese food I've had since late the late 70's in Winnipeg. If you want some good food in Wetaskiwin hit this place up. The decor isn't much to look at but the food more than makes up for it. Good value, they give you lots and for orders over $45 they give you a 10% discount. O ya... and they're open on Mondays!!
