Whether you enjoy a drip or favor a flavored latte, they offer just a little bit of everything for every kind of coffee drinker. I had a simple latte with a robustness that delivered plenty of warmth and delight on a chilly Denver morning. Their front patio is setup with simple picnic benches, perfect for basking in rays of sunshine. I ordered indoors but their space seems to have the capability to open up a wide window for servicing guests outside. Something super cool I've never seen before: a refrigerator and food locker for the homeless and hungry located on the side of the shop. Drop in food and leftovers as needed! I really enjoyed this cute coffee shop on my Colorado vacation! The worst part about it is the parking situation, but that's a small gripe when I think about how dreamy the coffee is! I got a rosemary lavender latte with oat milk and it was pure heaven - just the right amount of herbal flavor with delicious coffee. The vegan breakfast burrito is legit the best one I have ever had, and I will be trying to recreate it when I get home. Mushrooms, shredded potato, onions, peppers, in a pressed burrito with jalapeño sour cream sauce for dipping... I'm drooling just thinking about it! This is a forward-thinking shop, a safe space for all kinds of folks, and they even have a free food fridge outside for those who are hungry. Holy cow. I purchased a bag of the Civitas Blend - it's my new favorite. I cannot overstate how incredible this roast is. I've been on the hunt for my perfect roast lately... dark, but not too dark. Not much acidity. Not bitter. THIS IS IT. THIS IS THE ONE. It's nutty, vaguely caramely, nice and rich, with barely even a hint of acidity. What else is there to say? So my friend and I stopped by here to study for a bit, and it seemed like a pretty cute place to study. There were a good handful of people studying and reading in there and the place was pretty cute. However, I just got a mocha latte which was pricier than what I am used to paying for coffee and the quality wasn't spectacular as I had hoped for that price. It definitely wired me up tho. The volume of the place wasn't the best for studying. Might come back to try a different beverage and maybe their toast. Probably won't be back to study though. read more

I was so excited to visit this roaster! The interior looked super cute, but due to COVID they just have a walk-up counter. Staff was nice and knowledgable of their coffees. When the weather, is nice, their patio is perfect to drink your coffee & eat your breakfast! I ended up getting a breakfast burrito (I don't remember the name of it but it had bacon, eggs, and cheese in it) and a drip coffee (of their light roast). I've been a fan of their coffee for a long time, and my love has grown over that time. They cost more because they spend more to get great coffee that supports a good lifestyle for tbose who produce it. I've taken a class there and even joined their coffee club. I got tips on making their coffee taste as good at home as it does in the shop. For the club, get my [cool-looking] jar filled with freshly roasted beans without extra packaging (though the bags are compostable, I learned). It's a good deal, doesn't involve shipping like other subscriptions, and it involves a great local business. The shop is a nice place to have a cup of coffee and maybe a snack. Lingering is allowed. Staff are friendly and eager to find out how they can make a drink that you'll love. If you're buying coffee for home, they can pair you with a roast that fits your tastes. Workshops are highly recommended if you enjoy coffee at home or just like learning about the science of coffee. Their beans are delicious. I love that they have roasts to benefit causes--ones I already support. I've bought the blend created for the Denver Public Library and one to support Planned Parenthood. You shouldn't leave patrons in 97 degree heat with no shade for 20 minutes for a $5 black coffee. Hire more staff or put up umbrellas for customers to wait. HOW? HOW have I gone almost 9 years in Denver & countless trips to Huck without a Yelp review?!?! It's mind boggling! Their dining room area is now open, but during COVID they had an amazing patio space that was used to its fullest. The coffee is *muah* deliciousness! Huckleberry is fantastic! I'm a speciality barista in Arizona, and was recommended Huckleberry by many other baristas in the community. The staff is awesome, which is a major factor. Pretentious baristas who aren't willing to communicate can create an unwelcoming vibe - but Huckleberry is not that way at all. We were instantly greeted, and treated with such kindness. My boyfriend and I ordered two oat milk lattes and an espresso. The quality of the espresso was great, and the lattes were made well! I liked the dial of the espresso and felt it was really well balanced. I also genuinely appreciated the sign on the front door stating that everyone is welcome, and the "All Genders" bathroom sign. Theres also a patio which is pretty large and dog friendly. Also lots of seating space indoors so cant imagine the place really filling up. Also lots of great natural lighting so a big fan of that. This doesn't bother me because I view it the same as I do a nice cocktail but I know this will be a deal breaker for some people. The lavender and rosemary latte however was well worth it! I love the space and there has seemed to be good parking the last few times I have gone here. This is a great place on the corner in the Sunnyside district. It is a safe space for all. The coffee is intentionally and delicious. I had the Costa Rica drip. It was most likely a light roast, it was bright and tasteful. I had two cups. My partner had a vanilla latte and it was the right temp, tasteful, and comforting. Breakfast was from their toast bar. We ordered the Avo great day and the perfect pear. They were the best. The avocado was fresh and the onions were perfectly pickled. Parking was okay, there is plenty of street parking. We were greeted pretty quickly. And the vibe is definitely welcoming and earthy. The drip coffee had free refills of Ethiopian and Columbia brew! I got the chai tea latte with oat milk. We also ordered the modern day Elvis. (Toast with crunchy peanut butter, banana, honey, and bacon bits) deliciousness in your mouth! A cool coffee shop + roastery on the Northside! I'm a fan of Huckleberry coffee from frequenting Portside in RiNo and am glad I gave their freestanding shop a try. This space is fairly big, covered in cool murals + art, and full of rad hipster-y types taking meetings and working on their computers. They've got a solid espresso menu plus drip coffee, cold brew, iced tea, kombucha, and chai, so basically everything you could ever need. I ordered an Americano which was pretty good, although their only non-dairy milk option is oat so I took it black. Sit down and stay awhile at one of their many tables--I'd say this shop has more seating than a lot of shops in the area. Their larger seating area is almost like school desks--you're packed in there kind of tight, so I'd bring headphones if you find other people's conversations distracting. There's a whole wall of bags of coffee and other cool merch if you want to grab a gift or take some coffee home. Wifi was spotty for me, so I'd probably bring my hotspot with me next time.
