    Chicken Ternders Basket
    Valentine A.

The food was awful I got the tender basket and they were the worst. My tenders looked like they were left out over night and then fried up because the edges were over cooked and the middle was slightly cooked and the fries were stuck together. For $18.99 not worth it. I stick to the one in Santa Fe.

Hubby and I were in Galveston and stopped here for lunch. It wasn't crowded at all which kept it nice and quiet. I had the grilled mushroom and Swiss chicken sandwich. The flavors were great, I just wish the chicken breast was a little bigger. Hubby had the craw dog. He really enjoyed that. We ordered a side of Greek fries to share, and for the price there could've been more fries. Think of the times you've ever ordered a hamburger and fries and your plate had more fries than you can eat (sometimes ). So having to pay extra for them I felt there should have been a little more. There is no table service. You order your food at the bar and a server brings it to you. Might give it another try.

I've only ever been to Hubcap one other time and it was in downtown Houston. The two did not seem the same like the same place to me. I ordered a Hatch Chili burger. My favorite thing about it was actually the bun. Good tasty bun. But unfortunately it was too large for the burger patty. The burger patty could have been bigger (thicker and larger diameter), but the flavor of the entire burger was there (but a little dry). So I give credit for that. I was craving a big juicy burger, and didn't get that. But the hatch probably tied it all together. I did have them modify it by adding the standard burger toppings. I also ordered regular fries and some onion rings to share. The fries were not hot, so that kind of killed it for me. But they are similar to Five Guys fries, with the skin on. Big fan of the skin so that was a plus. For onion rings I usually only like to eat 2 or 3 as a full order for myself is usually too much. These were so good I think I had at least 4. Big thick cut rings. Fried perfectly. And they were hot. My dad ordered the TX BBQ Burger and he said it was great. Really tasty! Service it order at the bar, they give you a number to put on your table, and they deliver. So no issues there. The ambiance is cool. Dark woods. There were a few TVs. And plenty of seating. Great AC as well. Wasn't needed today, but on a hot day, this place will cool you down for sure!

June 10, 2023 came in after a long day at the beach. Place was packed We sat at the bar and Luke waited on us; he made me a grasshopper drink... YUM! (fattening as hell but, worth it) My patty melt and my friends, cheeseburger w/jalapenos were delicious. Support local

I've been looking for my favorite burger in Galveston. We walked in, and Willy was working. He told me that I had just found it. He was not kidding. It was a juicy, homemade patty, and perfectly seasoned. I felt like the drink prices were a bit steep for well drinks, but, the service, food and atmosphere were incredible. Awesome daily specials, too!!!

This place was kinda disappointing, the staff was pretty dry and rude. We came on a Sunday morning during a Mardi Gras parade and it was empty and the man taking our order was pretty grumpy. I subbed the cheese in my burger and they got it wrong, didn't give me any fries but sure as hell charged me for them so I had to get up and ask for them. The burger wasn't great either, I didn't really enjoy the taste. But their fries were pretty good. The place has like an old vibe to it lol it's cozy but smells a little weird.

The Hubcap grill came highly recommended by two old friends who happen to live in the area.  Neither of my two dining companions were huge fans of burgers, but seeing what the specialty here is, we all ordered some kind of burger.  We were all blown away by the taste and overall quality of our meal! Tip: Portion sizes here are decidedly large.  I considered getting a double, but when our meal came I was very glad that I didn't. Over and above the burgers, the fries they serve here are fried to a perfect golden brown and salted with the exact quality that makes spuds taste better.  The fries are large cut, and instantly addictive :-)

A friend roared about this place and said we should go, so we went. Right from upon my entrance I was awwwwwwed by the ambience encased by four walls. Everywhere I turned to look, I was encased with the object I was looking at. Just freaking awesome decor, pure genius. The details were uniquely thought of and the execution of each placement, perfect. This is a must experience. The chandelier- the ball shaped light fixture is one of my favorites. My favorite is the church benches! WOW, it took me back to memorable experiences, going to church with my Dearest Grandmother in Ferriday. I noticed them after we sat down by the huge windows facing the Strand. Baby, the very next time I go, I am sitting on a church bench. O' and the benches serve to purposes. They form a wall/per say and seating. Just perfect... Grab a menu from a small table up front and seat yourself. Orders are placed at the bar and the food is delivered to your table. For pick up orders, there's a sign hanging that reads order pick with an arrow facing down. To the right of that sign is the most comfortable serene space to wait for your food. Another very-well intricate piece of the mastermind behind the interior design. The opulence of hubcaps and car grills. I am talking classics here. The WOW factor here. There is beautiful artwork for sell. Be prepared to pay an high end amount, that's how lovely it is. They serve locally brewed soda and beer. My son ordered a root beer soda. It taste so good. I ordered the Hurricane. It was served with a slice of orange and lime, a cherry, and a cute lil umbrella, served in a huge glass. The taste was on point... The Food YumYum \( /\ /\)/ I ordered the Philly cheesesteak burger. Baby, I was not disappointed at all. It was huge and dripping with goodness(cheese and meat on top). I took one bite and had a calgon moment. It was D' Lish! The patty was perfectly cooked, perfect. I enjoyed every bite. I was full after three bites. D that was a good A burger. Uhm Uhm Uhm Customer service was good. The bartender was singing; I was singing and vibing right along with him. O and on the smaller screen TV, they were playing a good old classic movie with subtext, with soft music playing in the background. I rank this place the #1 eat and chill spot on the island. Y'all come through- you will not be disappointed. Peace

My wife was down at the Strand today decided to have lunch at the hubcap Grill on my recommendation She ordered the nachos. There was eight people inside half of them got up and left 25 minutes later they brought her out cold nastiness. She took it right up and got her money back. She thinks there was only one person in the whole place that is kind of sad that poor guy. i've never seen brisket nachos look like this.

Spending the weekend in Galveston and stumbled upon this little burger joint. The vibe and decor is on point here but the Customer service is definitely lacking. The food was good but not for the price point in my opinion. I definitely think the issue with this place is management. The menu is perfect but the execution and lack of customer service is what left me feeling a bit disappointed.

Loved this quiet burger joint on the Strand. It's close to Fisherman's wharf and other popular places. Burger was an original and tasty. Drinks were on point. Matt, the bartender, was helpful and informative. Will definitely come again

Just like a hubcap that has came off the wheel... this place is terrible. The service and food was terrible, the manager/owner seemed high as a kite, the burger patty was 1/4 the bun size, the lettuce was soured. The hot dog was burnt on outside and cold in the middle.

The Hubcap burger with triple patty added. Now that's a Texas sized burger.

Hubcap grill is always a must have while visiting Galveston. We have been going to Hubcap for years and always enjoy their food. Their burgers are a must have. I always buy their Hubcap decker which is made up of two buger patties but since I like a huge burger I ask for a third patty to be added. This makes the burger huge. The staff are very nice and the restaurant is very clean. If you are ever looking for a great burger look no further Hubcap Grill is always the first stop for us. Thank you as always.

Happy hour is Mon all day and Tue-Fri 4-7pm with $6 cocktails. Such a deal. They now have a "speakeasy" called the Pineapple Parlor. Barkeep told us there'd be a $6 admission per person; and since the space is small, there's limited seating. We opted to stay inside the DTO area for old fashioneds and Southside ($8 gin, lemon, mint).
