Love this little Tiki bar inside Daquiri Time Out. The vibes are so fun - Hawaiian music funky lighting and tiki decor. You feel like you are in a tiki hut. The menu is exceptional - each cocktail comes with a food pairing included such as spam musubi, wonton nachos, or pineapple macaroni salad. The cocktails are so intricate and delicious. You can get the food items à la carte as well. Definitely recommend reservation as there is limited bar seating and only a few booths. My friends and I were in Galveston for a girls weekend, and the friend hosting us at her beach house came across a TikTok about Pineapple Parlor. We knew we HAD to go. The entrance is so fun and charming. I love how 50s hula music is playing while you enter the bar. The hula girl wallpaper in the bathroom also plays well into the theme. One of my friends was six months pregnant at the time and found the mocktail selection to be really good. We were quite full from dinner but didn't mind the snack offerings. I explained I'm gluten intolerant, and the bartender went through the snack pairings I could have. My drink (Speaky Tiki Old Fashioned) came with the rice, and it was so, so good. The Kumquat Tot is hands down my favorite. Kumquat, gin, mint, and a few other choice ingredients make this one of the most unique and refreshing cocktails I've ever had. Drinks are served in classic tiki glassware. I dig the vibe here real hard. It's rad. Decor is thatched walls, huts, voodoo, fire, and skulls. Mood lighting enhances the overall theme. This speakeasy was super cute. Had to go thru one bar to walk to the back to come to this hidden gem. You had to enter the code to get in. We came on a Sunday, it is a small place and we got there almost 10pm and it closed at 11 so the lady told us it might be an hr wait but since we was already there I went ahead and put my name down bc I wanted to check this place out. We just ended up going to the front bar to kill time and it wasn't even 20 min and we got a text saying we can go inside. Walked in and it's super cute. It only seats around 30 people, making it even more special! Well conceived variations on classic tiki style cocktails coupled with delicious tropical food pairings made this one of my favorite bar experiences ever. Tips: Entrance is via a coded door lock! I don't want to give away all the cool details of the bar but they really put a lot of thought and work into making you feel as if you have escaped to a tropical oasis! Went here during a small beach getaway to Galveston and was absolutely impressed! The ambiance was that of a traditional tiki hut and was giving very romantic vibes as well. The space was great for a date or even special gathering with friends (if you can reserve a table). This is a Tiki Bar speakeasy that is the best you will ever see. The interior is done so well that no other bar in the Houston can compare. Each drink is paired with a small bites appetizer to balance your experience. The service is exceptional and prompt. Think that the DTO experience is good? Well this is a higher level experience and it doesn't disappoint. I recommend getting a reservation so you don't have to wait. There is limited seating. There are only two tables for large groups of up to 10 people. The bar only seats a total of 11 seats. So the max is about 30 people at one time in the bar. So this creates an intimate experience. You must sign up for the newsletter to get the passcode. Call ahead to reserve a spot so you don't have to wait over an hour for access. Avoid doing a walk up. We have visited over 50 tiki bars around the world and The Pineapple Parlor did not disappoint! We were lucky enough to sit at the bar and got to chat with the owner, Brad, as he made one fabulous drink after another! He is so passionate about tiki drinks and we really appreciated his attention to detail. We had 4 different drinks: the trader vic mai tai, jet pilot, the pearl diver and the nitro-muddled basil daiquiri. Each one was delicious. Brad squeezes fresh juices, infuses rums, makes homemade syrups and falernum. The decor and ambience were spot on and we will definitely be making regular stops at the Pineapple Parlor every time we're in town! read more

First of all, this is one of our go to places when we are on the island. The coctails are amazing and the tasting elements are perfect. Definitely a fun place. HOWEVER, this past weekend we tried to stop by for a drink after dinner. It was about 8:00pm. This place is very small so it can be hard to get a seat, but might be willing to wait if it's offered. So this is about the hostess/seating. My spouse and I got to the door (didn't even get to put in the code) and the hostess told us that we could have a table but had to leave by 9:00 because there was a big group coming. (Okay, no problem, alot of places do that). She proceeded to walk us into the bar to a table where 5 ladies were seated enjoying their drinks and told them to move over that we were joining them. Really? These poor ladies were deep into their evening and the hostess interrupted them to shove us into their space. That's NOT cool at all. The ladies were kind and started shifting over, but we stopped them saying that we didn't want to interrupt their evening. There were four empty seats at the bar and we asked her about them, but she said they were taken. The patrons there were not sitting there and no one other than bartenders were walking (this place is tiny). Surely there were not four people in the restroom because it's small too. We ended up leaving, but were really disappointed. We have never had an experience like that before. With that said, the drinks and food are great and usually the experience is wonderful. Not sure what happened that night, but there are other fun places to hang out in Galveston too, so we enjoyed those instead. read more

Wow! We have been to many-a tiki bar around the country and world, and we were impressed. I initially found them on Instagram and my husband is a tiki fanatic and gets deep into the lore, so I knew we had to make the trip down from Houston to Galveston. The atmosphere was on point. You could tell they were truly craftsman of their trade and pulled out all the stops. From crossing the fog - crested lake upon entry, to watching the steaming volcano erupt through the ship's porthole window, it was truly an immersive experience.
