I've been hearing about Kava for a little bit and I wanted to try! Kava is made from the roots of a South Pacific Plant and is supposed to relax you in small doses. If you can't choose, they both have a menu and a quick use vending machine. I went to the kava vending machine and just picked out a kava infused drink. It was the strawberry hibiscus flavor. It was pretty tasty! I drank it over a long period of time so I didn't feel a major effect. My friend who drank his faster felt a little lightness in his head and numbness on his tongue though! This lounge located in old town spring was a very homey place along the road surrounded by a lively town of shops and restaurants. In the lounge itself, it's decorated like a tropical tiki bar. There's a couple of seats around the edges, making up around 20 people worth of seating. They have games in the side also so you can come with company and play board games and uno. read more

Would highly recommend thier Lemon ginger tea with kava added! The kava made me feel very calm and relaxed! A similar effect that alcohol would have!! The establishment is just as I had remembered, very spacious with plenty of seating and games you can play as you sit and enjoy your drinks! Loved the music selection too!! We got to learn so much about Elixir and Kava. This was our first time at Elixir. We've been to Old Town Spring plenty of times but never seen this lounge. The outside aesthetics caught our eye, it's such a cute establishment. The ambiance is a whole vibe. The seating, the colors, the theme, very spacious and cozy - it's a really cute lounge. They have snacks, coffee, mocktails, seltzers, tea, and other refreshments. I just got a latte when we came, and it was delicious! They do Open Mic Night, participate in cute events like Ugly Christmas Sweater, and cool deals/drink specials (wear a Tiki shirt on Tuesday and get 50% off mocktails), etc. There is ample amount of space to just lounge, chill, work, study, play, be social. Really cool place, great atmosphere, nice employees but the prices are a bit crazy for the drinks. It's 7$ for a mocktail and 5$ additional for Kava or Elixir. If it were 3-5$ a drink I would come every day but for $12 I likely won't be back. read more

The space itself is very clean and beautifully decorated, pet and kid friendly environment. The kava itself is overpriced and pretty weak. I've been to better kava bars for sure. Pretty let down with my first visit today. Another shop across the way mentioned we should check them out. While my s/o was shopping, I walked across the way. The setup is pretty cool, and they had plenty of interesting drinkd and a special menu. I was in there for maybe 10 minutes, stood at the bar, and was ignored. So I ran into the restroom for a moment and came back and stood by the register. The young lady was taking a while with another customer. so I thought it was no big deal. I left and grabbed my s/o, and we came back over so he could see the location. This time, I stood at the register and waited.....and waited.....and waited.....the lady at the register ignored me for a while and then mentioned something about closing her drawer. She asked if I needed to check out, and I said no, I would like to order something. However, she told me she needed to finish something at the register first. No big deal, I thought until another guy came over and started to check out his customer at the bar. Eventually, I got to order, but I felt completely disregarded. The guy started making my drink but tried asking me about kava and something else. I explained that I was unaware of what it was, and the lady explained it, but it was hard to hear her, so instead of asking her to repeat, I just declined. I had ordered a golden tiger, and it was an okay drink. I was extremely disappointed with the service and lack of communication with a customer who is directly in front of you. Maybe I came in on an off day, but it left a bitter taste in my mouth for sure. read more
