They used to be a good salon to get your nails and pedicures done. They would take their time and do it right. They have lost that. They rush you through just to get the next customer. Also, I think it's unprofessional to have a 2 to 3 year old child running around the salon the whole time. It's not relaxing at all. It's a shame because it used to be really nice. The chair was very comfortable and massage was great. I never sat at a "drying station" for my pedicure before; so smart. The salon was super cute. Granted, I came in towards the end of the day so I wasn't expecting rock star treatment ,but if you have a choice, avoid. I asked if there would be time for a nail dip and pedi. "Absolutely!" Was the answer. Long story short, they didn't. I think I've had better shaped nails from the salon at Walmart. The massage during the pedi was less than enthusiastic- my heels are none the better either. Also, the chairs don't have the massage thing either. I saw a wine bar with wine stocked, no offer for wine or water was made. In fact I think we maybe said a total of ten words to each other, between the nail tech, the pedi tech, and I. Another reviewer commented on the gentleness of the techs- and that part is true. First time ever that I didn't hold my breath thru them over-grinding my nail with the dremel. They have a TON of color options at all levels (dip, gel, regular). I haven't decided yet if I'm coming back tomorrow to see if a solution is to be had, or cutting my loses and trying another salon. read more

I do not get my nails done often, so other places have basically shamed me and pointing out my poor cared for cuticles. I went to salon for pedi and there were only 2 technicians at 430 pm on Friday. I had called several months prior to ask if I could use my expired gift certificate for services and was told I could. Once I was in chair with my feet soaking I showed the young lady my certificate and she said it was no good and they wouldn't honor it. I asked for manager and told manager not there. I asked for owner and told they are overseas. I would not recommend purchasing a certificate from this company and felt it was not at all customer oriented to make some type of concession. I had moved from the area more than a year ago and traveled from Valrico to use my gift card. Very disappointed and basically they have $50 of mine that I have no recourse except to express my disappointment in this review. read more

Great experience! Received a manicure with gel polish. The man doing my nails was detail oriented, kind, quiet, + gentle. Very relaxing. Clean environment. All the tools + towels clean and fresh. I've been going to nail salons for 15+ yrs and best one I've been to in both California & Florida. The woman who did my eyebrow waxing was sweet and detailed too. This is not close to my home but I make the drive here to get my nails done if I'm looking for something intricate done or have a special occasion coming up. I recommend making reservations although give yourself another 10 minutes before they actually start on you. The prices are great with different types of pedicures to appease to anyone's budget and everyone there is friendly and not pushy at all - one of the other reasons why I love coming here. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is due to the length of time they spend on my pedicure and manicure - my meaning is that I find other salons spend a little longer time massaging and moisturizing both my hands and feet where I don't get that here. Love this place. It's one of the few nail salons that I can go to and NOT feel rushed. They take their time to make sure your needs/wants are met. They are a little bit more pricey than others in the area but you get what you pay for. Also, if you're getting a pedicure and have a dress on they give you a towel to cover up so you are not exposed (little things like that can go a long way). There's never at time I have walked out and wish I went to another place. They have a wonderful assortment/selection of nail polishes in regular, gel and dips. I am still very disappointed by my last (& final) trip to HT Nails. Immediately I noticed that my pedicure was botched. I was let down by the pedicure itself because i paid $20 above the base price for a "nice" pedicure and it was basically the exact same pedicure my friend received while only paying the base price. Then when I saw my nails in the daylight, I realized just how bad of a job she actually did. I am attaching a picture of my pedicure that I took the day after having it done. Horrendous. I do a better job when I paint them myself. Additionally, my finger nails were left very badly damaged from a dip powder manicure. They were filed down way too much. You can still see the damage done after a month of growth. I have had a few pleasant experiences at this nail salon and have invited multiple people here with me. It is close to home so I have always wanted it to be good. However, this exceptionally horrible job was done by one of the owners and it is inexcusable. I will never return to this salon. read more

Been doing mani/pedis here for 2yrs and today was def my last time. * Rapid turnover of staff in last 6mos. New staff is licensed but NOT good. At all. Need LOTS of practice. I don't think I shld pay money for that tho. * they still used 1 time use mini kits (files) but instead of foam toes spacers, they r using a wad of toilet tissue. * pedi: my toe nails on right foot r a different length than the toe nails on my left; 4 out of 10 toes r filed crooked; 2 coats of polish were not applied thick enough for coverage; near my cuticle u can see thru to my natural nail; she touched the polished nail wit brush sooooo many times that there r brush streaks * mani: she did a gr8 job filing & shaping (yay!) but same 2 coats of polish coverage issue; there is polish on my skin too!; I literally left b4 she did the top coat, cuz y stay, when I know I'm gonna go home & start from scratch MYSELF for FREE * They r clean & polite. But only 1 person speaks english well enough to communicate, so how can I give them a chance to "fix nail" when I can't describe the deets of my issues? My first visit to this salon, I opted for the rose petal pedicure and a full set with gel polish. The salon was clean and very modern looking. I found them on Yelp and called ahead to make an appointment. They were able to accommodate me and when I arrived, they took excellent care of me. I loved this place until I recently went to get my nails done and asked if they could please wax my eyebrows. They told me in a few minutes they would. My nails were already done, 30 minutes went by and they still had not helped me with my eyebrows ( I should of spoke up I know!) when they took another costumer back to do HER eyebrows. A customer who got there after me. I then I said something to them about how I had been waiting and how that wasn't good service and the daughter of the owner proceeded to VERY RUDELY tell me that I can go elsewhere and get my nails done!!!! I have never written a review for a nail salon before. I went in today on this fine Friday, to get my nails done. I wanted black French with an oval shape. I have never had black French oval nails before, and I told the nail tech I trust her. After she did the first nail, I asked if she could curve the black tip a bit more. *she seemed annoyed*. First hand is done, on to the second. They did not look the same, I asked her to touch up the second hand. She said "You told me you trust me, now you're telling me what to do." I felt very uncomfortable and annoying to my nail tech. She was so rude, but luckily I was in a good mood and kept being kind. Toward the end I asked her to touch up one last nail. *She seemed very annoyed*. I said "I'm sorry if I'm annoying you, you seem very upset with me." Then she asked "did you have an appointment?" I said "no I was a walk in." She said "okay you're going to have to wait in line to get your toes done then." Keep in mind- I already had the foil on my toes to take off my gel polish. So I said "no worries I'll just come back another time." At first I liked my nail tech because I thought she was feisty and cute with curly hair. Toward then end I just felt bad for her because she had so much anger in her. I respect all nail techs, but if I'm paying for my nails. I shouldn't feel uncomfortable to speak up about getting them the way I want them to be. I just hope she enjoys the rest of her day, and find happiness in this life. read more

Very disappointing experience today. Well, mixed review, at best. I had a great jello pedicure and ultimately my nails came out great. However, they did try to sell me a package that was $10 more for the same thing and charged me and extra 10 for design. (And, they told me Twice that they don't have stones for my design.) My daughter however did NOT have a good experience at ALL. She is 11 years old and of course, they made her wait about 40 minutes and took walk ins before her, while my pedi was being done. I guess they thought she wouldn't be a big tipper but newsflash, she doesn't drive, and doesn't pay the bills, I do! Perhaps making us both wait is not the best idea. Then, the new rude lady did her polish. When she showed her the design she wanted( stripes and a heart on two nails), the lady took all of her polish off and did it all over again with a complete scowl on her face for no reason?? When they got to the design stage, the lady tells my daughter she won't do it. (?). Holly looks at it and tells me it will be an additional 7.00. I reluctantly said fine, and then she sat there for 20 more minutes waiting for anyone to actually finish her nails. Finally we gave up and left. We were there for TWO HOURS and never even got the design painted, and my daughter was so frustrated with the way she was treated she left in tears. Way to go, HT.. moral of the story, if you want a simple service, with no design and come with no children, it's great. But if you want anything else, they do a great job of making people feel like a nuisance and devaluing your time. We won't be back. read more

Place is great, colors are up to date, whatever was in, they had it. They do a good job overall except when they had the chrome polish (which they charge more) i had it painted on just two fingers which i was charged an extra $12. One got messed up and she refused to fix it and complained it would take awhile to fix. I mean im paying alot and leaving it the way it looked made me upset. I gave this one star because I had to give a star, if I could give it 0 stars I would. I was completely unsatisfied with how my acrylics came out. I didn't want to be rude so I payed, tipped her, and left. Only TEN MINUTES after I left I called and said I was completely unhappy. The acrylic didn't even start where my cuticle is so they look pretty much a week old, she didn't even give them the coffin shape they were supposed to have, the sides of my nails weren't even painted well and the acrylic came out too thick near the cuticle. I called back and explained and politely asked for a refund, tried to explain what happened with the nails that I was so upset about, especially after spending $50 you'd expect a really great set of nails, instead I received the person on the phone yelling at me and over me "no no no no no no" as I tried to explain why I was upset and kept telling me no refund no refund and they hung up on me three times. I didn't even threaten anyone I was just crying and explaining how upset I was about the service I received and was told they would call 911 if I came back. This place sucks and their customer service is a low 1/10. I 100% do not recommend you go there because you'll waste your time. read more

I really think this is a beautiful spa and I used to enjoy coming here, but the past few times I noticed a decrease in quality. My nails were done very quickly at my prior 2 visits and my friends commented that it looked like I did them myself. They began chipping within a few days, where the same service lasts at least a week at some other places. I have been going here ever since they opened up years ago! I am so beyond upset, in the beginning everyone was so nice, years later everyone had an attitude except for hollys dad. Makes you feel like they only wanted to be nice so you could keep spending your money there. I'm so beyond upset to be treated unfairly when I am never rude or have been rude when I have gone. I was once on the phone while getting my nails done answering a business call and hollys mom told me to shh. Holly seems to always be mad at everyone and I have asked her questions and she always response with an attitude. The very last time I decided to go was when there was a confusion and I saw how busy they were and I tried to help and holly in front of other customers embarrassed me. I don't think anyone running a business should be this rude. At the end of the day your attitude towards people really counts for something. Today I went and I was not happy with one nail because it wasn't filed down enough and it was very rounded on the top.
