I rarely review gas stations. Sometimes you don't have a choice and go to one out of necessity. This station is down the street from where I live. It's convenient but prices are a little high. It's clean, has an auto repair shop, and a small convenience store. You do have to be careful because there have been issues with card skimmers. I always pay cash. This is a good thing because otherwise I would have never met Gary. He's one of the attendants here and he is so incredibly sweet and nice. He has a warm & friendly demeanor. We always have an enjoyable conversation when I stop in. They also have pretty flowers at the bay stations, which is a nice touch. read more

so this is a shell gas station in hermon hills. i have been using their gas for over a year now and the app still recognize me as silver status at 3cents a gal when im at platinum status. im limiting stops here from now on until they correct the loyalty rewards for platinum status. which i doubt it. read more

The owner of this gas station is an angel in the City of Angels! He saved me hundreds of $$$! This is a great gas station owned by an incredible guy. Hovik, who owns this place is one of the kindest people you'll meet in Los Angeles. I met Hovik when I was driving down the 5 Freeway during morning rush hour. A motorcyclist knocked my passenger side mirror off my car, and I had to keep driving without it. I thought I had lost my mirror forever, and would have to pay several hundred dollars to get a new one installed. A few minutes later, a pick-up truck pulls up in the lane next to me and begins honking. I'm worried that this is an angry motorist, as we are all conditioned to fear on the freeways these days. But no, it was a man waving and holding my mirror in his hand!! This kind soul turned out to be Hovik. We pulled over, and he tells me that he saw my mirror get knocked off, leaned out of his truck ON THE FREEWAY to pick it up, and flagged me down. He even re-installed my mirror right there on the side of the 5 freeway! It looks perfect now, saving me time and money all because of Hovik. If everyone were like the man who owns this gas station, the world would be a better place. This man did not know me, did not owe me anything, and took the time to help me out in traffic. This gas station took my money and gave me 0 gas. I have photos to prove it. You can see in my photos what my mileage is on my car and after filling it up. I have a prius which only takes about $20 to fill up. I have 3 bars on my car and put in $15 and the bars didn't go up at all. I complained to Phone who was the cashier at the time and he tried telling me how he saw me fill up my car, like yes I did fill it up, that's not the issue. The issue is I got NO gas. I'm not about to get ripped off and get no gas after paying money that I work hard for. This is ridiculous. read more

They just did a renovation to their structures and gas pumps. Never had an issue here with using cash or credit card. There are multiple driveways to enter/exit and it is near the 110 for convenience. read more

I normally fill up here on my way to the 110 fwy. The location is convenient and the price is decent (way cheaper than the Shell station on Monterey and Huntington). Plus it doesn't "trick" you with the different Cash and Credit price. There's about 6 pumps and most of the time one of them is out of service. So prepare to wait in a long line on a slope (hopefully your car doesn't slide backwards!) or block traffic on Ave. 60. What do you say about a fuel station? The prices are not too bad and may even be below the average considering it's close to the 110 parkway. The station is well kept and clean. The tree surrounding the facility almost give you a sense of being out of the city. There is always a nice breeze rustling in the leaves and flowers with the aromas of the season. Nice mechanics. Oil change with a 12-point inspection is $36 for a big engine (V6). They day I went (on a recent Monday morning) there was no wait even though they already had 2 cars that they were working on in their garage. Only con was I think they forgot to fill my window fluid though which bummed me out a little. No waiting room, but there is a hip coffee shop across the street inside the new Fresco market. If you wait at the 76, there is a picnic table w/ sun umbrella set up in a parking space. I think these are my new oil change guys until I move again. Also- Important note... this 76 is cheaper for fuel than many surrounding gas stations for top-tier gas. I buy a lot of gas here for that reason, and that's it's located at the 110 off/on ramps. read more

Please be aware of this gas station they have credit card skimmers. The owner and the mechanics are crooks my battery died they checked it told me that my battery was completely dead I needed a new one absolutely positive I needed a new one $227 so while waiting for the battery they ordered someone from the neighborhood came and try to jumpstart my car and it started right up. Imagine that. Has Autozone check battery it was fine they said my battery was a one condition I had just left somethings open long story short try to avoid this gas station at all cost they're ripping people off from credit card skimmers to automotive service and have the nerve to have shitty attitudes most of the time. read more

The mechanic here, Greg, is great! Both times I've had work done here he has charged me LESS than what he initially estimated, which was reasonable to start. He is very friendly and seems completely trustworthy. The gasoline is usually cheaper here, too. read more

I live in this part of town and I can say that it's been the cheapest place for brand name petro in the area. One of the pumps isn't up to date so it is not an auto pump but some are. If you have a lowered vehicle, I'd be extra careful cause this station is on a slope. read more

I live in Highland park, and so far, between this place and the 76 on Ave. 54, there is no other cheap, top-tier level gas. The bonus to this place is that it also comes with an automotive help area, so if you're ever in a bind (and provided it's still open), they can probably help you if the repair isn't something severe. Really close to the entrances to the 110 South/North, and across the street from a market and mini-mall as well as a park, in case you need to make use of their automotive services and need to wait. Generally the cheapest gas in town, and the mechanics and workers there are friendly and have yet to try and peddle some service or product that I really don't need - that speaks volumes. read more

rude and deceitful attendant - the Asian guy named Peong or something. I stopped to get air 3 weeks ago, went into the store to ask him to turn on the pump, he said something like "it's on". I went to get air, hearing the pump noise but no air. After 10 mins playing around, I saw him coming out, so I asked what's going on. He pointed to a sign on machine says "sorry out of service". WTH?? I thought maybe it's language problem so I spoke to him in Chinese, he said "I don't speak chinese", seems like he was deeply offended. OK then it might be my mistake so I left went to another station got air. Today, my roommate has a similar experience! The same Asian guy told my friend that in order to get air, he needs to pump gas, so my friend did. Then he never got air out, that same asian attendant told my friend the machine is not working!! What a JERK! I checked CA law, station can't get away with not having air for 5 days but this has been going on for much more than that. I am trying to figure out where to complain now, but knowing how busy the government is, I don't think that will work, so I am posting here to warn people about this bad apple. read more

Local and close. They don't open until 5am on weekdays so if you're on the road earlier than that you're better off going over the hill to am/pm or 2 more exits south to Ave 53. Their prices aren't outrageous but they are a little higher since they are RIGHT OFF the freeway. I hit this gas station on my way to the freeway. It's perfectly located, never too busy and decently priced. This morning (October 2013) I walked inside, got my small coffee, $20 on pump 3 and walked right back to my car and drove off...oops...completely forgot to pump my gas. Not to worry, after a quick call, I was told to come back anytime and they would honor my $20 purchase. I have no idea what the laws are on this situation, but I was pleasantly surprised with how accommodating they were and the ease of the call. Cheers to helpful people :) read more

I just had the worse experience here. I went to pump 1, swiped my card, and followed all the instructions and when it came to actually pumping gas - nothing. I cancelled the transaction and went to another pump. I figured, "Hey, I should let the people that work here know that pump 1 isn't working." I went inside and this is what happened. Me: "Hi. I just tried pumping at 1 and it didn't work." Cashier: "Let me see. It didn't go through. You pay here." Me: "No, I got gas...(I went to another pump) Cashier: "It didn't go through." Me: "I cancelled..." Cashier: "You pay here" Me: "Can I please explain? I got gas." Cashier: "No, you didn't. You pay here." Me: "I'm trying to help. Can I please explain what happened?" Cashier: "No. You can talk to manager." Me: "What's his name? What's the number?" Cashier: "(gives me no name) You call here." Me: "What's his name?" Cashier: "You call here." This guy wouldn't let me simply explain that my card DID go through and that I had to cancel the transaction because the pump wouldn't let me actually pump gas. He wouldn't let me explain that I had to go to another pump and that another lady had to do the exact same thing. He wouldn't let me explain anything and was absolutely rude to me for no real reason when I was only trying to help. I come in here every few days to fill up gas and it's my fave gas station. It's very convenient and the owner is so sexy I come in just to see his sexy face lol. I found this place to be the cheapest for synthetic oil changes. Other places will charge close to $100 but his place does it for around $50-$60. I've been taking all my cars to this place for a few years now. If I can't make it out here I usually take it to the dealer because for $100 at least I'll get a free car wash, free wifi and some snacks while I wait. read more

So a lot of my friends told me to not go here no more because all of them and their family have gotten fraud claims rights after using their card to purchase gas. it was last father's day(6.17.2012). i stopped by the gas station to fill up the gas and to purchase cigarettes. i walked into where the cashier was. and the cashier introduced to me as the owner of this gas station. and he offered me a special deal cigarette. All i asked was 2 packs of cigarettes first, and he offered me a cartoon for less. so i agreed. And then he stated it there were 12 packs of cigarettes that he mentioned was all he had on that time. i decided to take all those 12 packs as he offered with special discounted price. and i agreed to pay for them with my credit card. later on, it's about 3mins later. i found the receipt printed totally ripped off price marked. cigarette was "winston white". and i usually buy around $50 (included ca tax) cartoon(10packs). but, it was 84.68(12packs) in the receipt. i found the owner gave me special ripped off price not a CARTOON PRICE. so, i went back to charge back. but he refused to refund it. i have been patronized this gas station for 8 years. but, this is first time to meet the owner. i've never bought this cigarettes with this overpriced before. but, he insisted he can charge whatever he wants to charge under the name of ownership. This 76 station is pawn shop. Once the owner takes it, there is NO POINT OF RETURN or CHARGE BACK even if the price is wrong and totally overpriced. and PRICES VARY DRAMATICALLY. read more
