Can't say enough good things about him. Mara has removed DOZENS of suspicious lesions from my scalp (I am bald) by freezing with nitrogen. Very professional and reassuring. Since second grade I've had glasses and later, contacts. I am 72 and had cataracts, astigmatism and I was near and far sighted. When I look now through my old glasses I get knocked on my a**. I'm an artist so this was inconvenient at the very least. My coke-bottle bottom glasses were wearing holes in the bridge of my nose. Dr. Skoog gave me surgery for cataracts, Medicare paid for it. At the same time I additionally had to get Toric lenses for astigmatism and they were $1100 per eye, totally worth it. Do you want to see, or don't you? Seeing is good. In case I was shaky or iffy about Dr. Skoog, my brother and some of his friends had had surgery with him. My sister-in-law researched him aggressively and found him superb.

When they came back I could not see/focus with them so Spokane Optical sent them back to have them corrected. Long story short, they had to send them back three times and I still could not see with them. I took them back again and they told me they wouldn't send them back a fourth time. I appealed the decision to their administrators and they said they would not send them back again. Each time the sun glasses came back the prescription was changed. So I got stuck with a $700 pair of sunglasses that I can't even use. I would not go back to the north office ever again. Try another vendor.

I took my prescription to this optical shop in the same building where I had my exam and where I had purchased glasses before. I found a decent frame and ordered glasses. I wear bifocals and am required to wear glasses while driving. Because the lenses were to be coated, I was told the lab would take 2 weeks, based on the insurance I have. That seemed excessive to me but I did not have an alternative. Two weeks later, the glasses arrived at their shop. When I got there to be fitted, it turns out that the glasses were improperly made, presumed to be from a wrong measurement for the bi-focal line. The employee said she must have measured for tri-focals. Maybe or maybe not, but the glasses were sent back to the lab. I asked for a "rush" and was told it should be another week. That has now past. I called and was told the glasses should be here by the end of this week. That is FOUR WEEKS to get much needed glasses, twice as long because of their error (in the measuring or in the manufacture). The employees said they are directed to send the order to the lab dictated by my insurance company (VSP). That may be, but there SHOULD be some recourse to expedite orders, particularly when it was their error. I'll also be contacting VSP about this service.
