Dr. James Dorosh,
I wanted to let you know why our family is leaving your practice. While our dealings with you personally were some of the best dental care we have had, it was dealing with your staff, mainly the accounting/billing department that made us make a change.
The 1st thing that was amidst was that we (my wife) was told that your practice was an "in-network" provider for our GEHA insurance in March of 2015 (that is when our Delta Dental of Washington expired) and that was one of the main reasons for picking that insurance. It became clear that during our visits that followed we were paying much more out of pocket than anticipated. When I started to investigate is when I really became irritated. Such things took place as:
Being told my fillings would be a total of $79 when in fact they were $79 for each (2).
Being told when I asked what our bill was and was told there was no bill and then the next week receiving a bill for $1200 from Dorosh Dental.
Asking for a spreadsheet (so I could match things up) of our account and being sent a jpeg and pdf file. Even when I build a spreadsheet and sent it over and asked for it to be filled out, my request was never fulfilled.
I found Stephanie and Becky very difficult to work with and would wait days if not weeks to get information back. Often a replied e-mail would not be signed so I could not see who I was dealing with.
The final straw that made me write this letter to you (I normally don't go to these measures, but felt that you needed to know from me personally how things are being presented to your customers) is when I asked for our information to be sent to our new practice and when I followed up with the new practice they told me that my films were from 2007 when in fact I was billed $55 in October 2015 for an exam, cleaning and x-rays and those should have been sent. An e-mail was sent to your office April 21 and as of today April 27th, I still have not heard back from anyone at Dorosh.
James, I know (hope) this is not how you want your business to be perceived, but at this point I would not be able to recommend your practice to anyone who would ask. read more
