He responded to my initial request for an estimate within 24 hours, communicated clearly throughout the process, and arrived exactly when he said he would. What stood out most was Mike's commitment to doing the job correctly. On the day of installation, he had his materials ready when he noticed flaws in them. Rather than trying to make them work or moving forward with substandard materials, he stopped, contacted me, explained the situation, and ordered new materials. That decision demonstrated his honesty, integrity, and dedication to quality. Mike's time management, work ethic, and attention to detail were excellent. He completed the project as proposed and never cut corners. He even went above and beyond by patching a large hole left behind by roofers who had previously removed the gutter from my garage wall and failed to repair the damage. Mike provides everything you hope for when hiring a contractor: excellent communication, professionalism, honesty, quality workmanship, and a genuine commitment to doing things right. His proposal was thorough, his pricing was fair, and the entire experience was exceptional. I would gladly work with Mike and Crown Gutters again and highly recommend them to anyone in need of gutter work. It's refreshing to find a contractor who takes such pride in his work and stands behind the quality of what he does.

This was not an easy project, as access to the house's main roof is blocked by a front fence and a separate 2 car garage. So his team improvised a bridge from the garage's roof to the house roof. They then removed the old roof shingles and found dry rot in the plywood underlay, which they replaced at cost, while making sure to thoroughly vent the new roof to prevent future dry rot.. The attention to detail was ongoing throughout the project. They refurbished the skylights and house vents and then painted them a color that matched the shingles. I would recommend them in a heart beat..

Huge thanks to Carol at Sunshine Gutters and Roofing!…read more We had a leaking skylight that was originally installed by another company, and we were preparing for an expensive repair. We received quotes ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 from other roofers and assumed we'd be paying out of pocket. Instead of trying to sell us a repair, Carol suggested we contact Velux directly, as she thought the skylight might still be under warranty. She was absolutely right. Velux confirmed that the skylight is covered and will inspect and repair it under warranty. Carol's honesty, knowledge, and willingness to point us in the right direction saved us thousands of dollars. It's rare to find a company that puts the customer's best interests ahead of making a sale. We are incredibly grateful for her advice and professionalism. If you're looking for a trustworthy roofing company, I highly recommend Sunshine Gutters and Roofing. Thank you again, Carol!

The service itself was fine and the pricing was fair enough hence the 2 stars…read more However, as one other recent reviewer also flagged, the billing and invoice payment experience was so negative it motivated me to write this review. Our estimator gave me incorrect information in developing our contract, telling me our downspouts including the downspout attachments that went underground, would be fully cleaned out during our service. When they did not clean the downspout attachments, they told me they don't do underground attachments even though the estimator told me this was included in our pricing. I paid the majority of our bill, leaving about $230 balance while I disputed the unfinished work. Eight months ago, I sent an email that was never responded to and never heard from the company again. Then yesterday when their legal department called me out of the blue to threaten to send me to collections over the unpaid balance. I replied immediately to explain the situation and their response was to say if the balance wasn't paid by the end of the day it would be sent to collections. They alleged they had called and emailed about the outstanding invoice (they hadn't - I went through my emails, spam and my phone and found no evidence of any attempts on their end to contact me). I was shocked that they took such an aggressive, threatening approach to a customer who a) they dropped the ball with and b) who was actively in good faith trying to resolve the dispute immediately once they brought it to my attention. We had a misunderstanding about the scope of work - I would have appreciated some acknowledgement or apology on their end vs. them dropping the ball completely then coming back out of nowhere to threaten me with collections. Just not a good way to do business and I am left with a very sour taste from dealing with the legal threats.

I'm going to recommend Edward to my neighbor. Thank you Edward for making it right! Gracias! 6/17 Update: We got a professional solar panel cleaner in this morning who took many photos of our roof. Even though Edward said he would clean the solar panels and remove the pigeon poop around the solar panels, there are obvious heavy droppings all around the solar panels that he did not remove and the solar panels were untouched. Basically we only got half of what was promised to us and we even tipped him. Very sad. I'm going to hire the same person from East Bay Solar Cleaning to also clean my roof since Edward didn't remove the pigeon poop.

They are both truly kind, friendly, and positive people who routinely go above and beyond. Shortly after purchasing my home, I had them clean a skylight and clean/inspect my gutters. I had remembered them to be great people, and they didn't disappoint. They texted a heads up when on their way, arrived on time, quickly got to work, and even took some time to chat about the woes of homeownership.
