    Evolve Federal Credit Union

    Evolve Federal Credit Union

If you need a financial institution that respects legal obligations and provides accountability,…read moreavoid this credit union. Their refusal to honor valid Power of Attorney (POA) documentation caused serious harm to my father's estate. Unlike major banks with legal departments (e.g., Chase), this credit union lacks the expertise and structure to handle escalations properly. Key Issues: 1. Failure to recognize and act upon valid POA documentation. Obstruction and lack of transparency during estate administration. 2. Denial of reasonable access to account information for fiduciary oversight. 3. Refusal to provide requested documentation promptly and transparently. 4. Failure to prevent unauthorized withdrawals by a co-agent acting in bad faith. 5. Inconsistent and contradictory responses regarding account beneficiaries. 6. Dismissive, misleading, and unprofessional communication practices. 7. Potential fabrication or post-dated creation of beneficiary documentation. The individual involved, Iban Torres (AVP of Operations), did not honor a legal POA, which enabled misappropriation of funds by another POA holder. This negligence was preventable and underscores why a credit union without a legal department is a risk for anyone managing complex financial or estate matters. Bottom Line: If you value compliance, transparency, and the ability to escalate issues effectively, choose a major bank with a legal team. It could save you from financial loss and unnecessary stress.

    Chase Bank - Drive-thru only

    Chase Bank

Have you ever gone to a fast food place, and seen a person standing in the drive-thru lane sans…read morevehicle? They look pretty stupid, huh? Well, that was me here because this is a Chase of all drive-thru lanes and no actual lobby, though the sign on the teller windows clearly state lobby hours that were in service. I must've walked around the perimeter of the building 6 times looking for a door and thinking I'd just missed it, but no. There's 2 service doors and that's it. So, I played the fool and stood in a line of cars and trucks waiting to use the drive-up ATM, since I'm from out of town and didn't have a car. Funny thing is, there's a Chase corporate building kiddie-corner to here that I hadn't previously seen, and I'll bet I could've used a walk-up ATM like a normal human being there, but since I'd already danced around the building perimeter for 5 minutes, what did it matter if I just tacked on walking through the drive through for further embarrassment? Not that I was embarrassed... though I'm pretty positive the person in the car behind me took a pic of my dumb-ass at the drive thru. If there's a 'People Of Chase Bank' website, I guarantee you I'm on it.

I've been to this Chase "bank" multiple times, but really it is just a glorified drive-up ATM with…read morea large amount of non-ATMs (non-automated teller machines...so essentially people). I'm not mad at the idea, it's extremely convenient, especially downtown...but I had to write a review after reading Candice G.'s hilarious encounter with this Chase. I'll go ahead and confirm her suspicions that the Chase building adjacent to this drive-up Chase does house ATMs for those of us sans wheels. The Chase building actually has a real Chase bank in it on the first floor so if you want to talk to an actual person or open up an account you can do that there. So back to this Chase drive-up. Like I said, extremely convenient. There's two ATMs and the rest are bank tellers. The only time I've ever seen a line here is when it's after bank hours. The tellers are all fairly friendly and quick (although this one doesn't give lollipops like the one on the far side of Mesa...step your game up!).
