I also wanted the battery changed my unfortunately the inside was corroded but they offered me several solutions for that as well and tried to see if seiko had any parts to replace the inside so they could change the battery. Pricing is VERY reasonable and they are very quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend my loved ones and friends to go to midtown jewelers.

What do I mean? After an agreement for service was reached, they texted me asking for a 50% deposit, before they would attempt to repair my watch. As someone who has been collecting watches of every stripe, including high-end Rolexes for decades, I can tell you that anyone who attempts to change the terms of service after an agreement has been reached is ALWAYS attempting to take advantage of you. That goes double for someone asking for a 50% up front. (One should pay anywhere from 10% to an ABSOLUTE MAXIUM of 25% -- and that is for a very high-end watch.) Beware of scams.

I go pick it up and these "fine people" replaced a perfectly good leather band, but the crown was still broken. Then had the nerve to say we can send it back. Oh no the fuck you can't! I was livid, but remained calm and walked away. Incompetence of the highest order. I wouldn't trust them to tell me the time!

It got to us basically 2 days after ordering. The watch was in even better condition than it seemed online. Customer service was also fantastic. Apparently google prefill had messed with my address, and I'm glad they called to verify. They also presized the watch for us, and even told us that if we need to, we can always order a pin removal tool from amazon also. That's honestly unheard of from a watch shop. A few notes to keep in mind: some of their watches are customized after market! They say it in the description but it may not be as obvious if you don't read. Watches are a big investment so hopefully you read listings thoroughly to make sure you get what you think you're getting--they literally don't hide any of the info. Also, when you order online, they will ask for a photo of your card for security (with numbers covered) and your ID if you are out of state. IMO this is a great verification method, but take note if that's not something you're comfortable with.
