The guy said he couldn't do it without adding silver, and that it was better to replace it. They tried selling me a bunch of very cheap looking stainless steel and hollow silver wedding bands. When I said I didn't want them, they said they could make the ring bigger, but it would cost $80 - the entire cost of the ring. So I left, went to a small jewelry stand I happened to come across in Northlake mall, and the man there re-sized it perfectly for $30 and was professional and straightforward. I definitely wouldn't go to Flawless Jewelry & Phone Repair unless you know exactly what you need done and how much it should cost, and don't mind dealing with sliminess.

Brad Harris has been my jeweler for over two decades. He has created numerous custom pieces for me,…read moreupdated some of the pieces I've inherited, made repairs, and I have purchased beautiful items from his in-store collection. No job is too small, and he is genuinely an artist. (He even made a custom piece using ancient coins found on a family farm in Scandinavia!). He stays up-to-date with current trends while also having a true eye for what is genuinely beautiful. His showroom is the perfect size--not overwhelming, but with enough selection to make you feel like you've seen a great range of choices. His prices are fair, and the turnaround time is remarkably fast. My son bought an engagement ring for his now-fiancée, and it is absolutely gorgeous. He went to the showroom, and he, Brad, and Monique designed it on the spot. It was ready within a week, and his fiancée loves it!

What a great experience - from the initial friendly greeting, to the thorough and professional evaluation, to issuing the check. Both owners inspired great confidence as I watched them carefully treat each piece, regardless of its monetary value, with respect. I had no idea if what I brought in was worth anything, and I'm happy to report my guest-i-mate was much lower than what they paid me. Barbara and Mark not only know their business inside and out, they are honest, fair, and very nice people. They have been in business for decades and now I know why. AND, if you're in the market for unique and unexpected treasures, look no further. They have it all! I cannot say enough good things about this charming couple, their character, their expertise, and their shop.

We had them make a ring for our anniversary to match my wedding band on the other side of my…read moreengagement ring. My wedding band has NEVER moved or reshaped or dented in the 14 years I've had it. Meanwhile, the one they made has warped shapes over and over, showing the quality of their platinum is not even close to the wedding band we had made at The Mart downtown 14 years ago. I took it in to see what they could do and one woman was kind but clueless and the other was a giant Karen. Snappy and rude. Told me "once it bends it will always bend over and over." I didn't pay for that. I paid for it to match my wedding band that hasn't moved once in 14 years. Then they proceed to tell me they can fix it for over $1100! Um, no. You mess it up, you fix it. ALSO, this wasn't the first issue with them and this ring. They took months to make a match and the first one wasn't even close. We had to get another one completely remade. I'm just extremely disappointed in the quality and service here. Jamie seems genuinely nice. He needs better employees. I would highly recommend going anywhere but here.
