So I had a Citizen watch that can only be repaired in one of four establishments in the US. It was gifted to me in 1996 from my girlfriend at the time, then wife for 22 years, then ex-wife for the last two. This watch has GREAT sentimental value for me, as it's my fault she's an ex and I still love her like crazy. The watch has a solar face, but the internal battery that the solar face charged died, and I REALLY wanted my watch back and working. So it was a big decision. I looked at all my options, thought a LONG time, then chose Hurley Roberts. I could not have been HAPPIER with my decision. It was a little more expensive than I wanted, and took a bit longer (due to Covid), but it finally came back TODAY! The watch was set for the right time and the band size was perfect! I simply had to put it on. This place is AMAZING! Thanks guys! I was _insanely_ apprehensive due to shipping it across America and due to the extremely high sentimental value, but they answered ALL of my concerns. Also, they were extremely quick on communication via email (whenever I emailed them), and kept me feeling confident that I sent it to the right place. If you need a watch fixed, and are looking for the best place to send it, take it from me, choose Hurley Roberts. read more

I had used them before, and they took a long time, but at least I got my watch back. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! This time, they literally stole my watch; in both cases, I JUST wanted my Crystal replaced, and they claimed that they found "other" things that needed to be replaced and charged me over $160. In both cases, I paid them, because they had my watch already, but never again. I am reporting them to the Police on Monday and filing a report of the thief. They are crooks, so I realize I'll never see my money, but I would like my watch back, for sentimental reasons! read more

I have a 16 year old Citizen watch that is of sentimental value to me but it finally stopped working. I sent it to them and paid about $260 for repairs which took quite a long time. When it arrived, the time was incorrect as was the date which I thought was odd since we are in the same time zone. I tried to get it to work to no avail and returned it to them to be properly repaired. After three more weeks, I got it back and they said "no charge" since they will do a courtesy repair once for me. What a joke, they did not fix it the first time so how dare they think of charging me for a second repair visit. Horrible customer service and will never use them again. I am going to complain to the California facility as well since I see lots of negative comments about this one in "ATlanta. read more

Sent in my watch around October/November of 2023. In January - they sent an estimate of the repair and requested payment, which I paid in January 2024. It is now almost May 2024 and no response, no watch, and have left them messages. Nothing. Not sure this is a legitimate business anymore. A credit card dispute for fraud has been filed. read more

I submitted a watch for a crystal change and paid for it in May. The estimated time for repair was 4-12 weeks. It has now been 18 weeks with no updates. They have not responded to multiple emails. They are not answering their phones. Their standard messages now talk about reduced hours. I wonder if something happened. I literally have no way to contact anyone to even ask for them to send my watch back. At this point I am very concerned I have been scammed and my watch and payment are both gone. I hope I'm wrong and they are just slow. I would strongly advise against sending them any watch you are attached to. read more

I paid $297.66 for a watch repair on 9 January 2023. Today is 14 August 2023, and I still don't have my watch or a refund of my money. This place is crooked - you will receive zero communication and accessibility to the staff regarding your issues. The phone number goes straight to an automated service and just loops. Your emails go unanswered, and then they will tell you the parts are arriving next, and nothing happens. Do not trust this company with your watch or hard earned money. I will be submitting a complaint to the BBB in hopes of getting my money back. Stay away from this business. They do not deserve to be in existence with this type of customer service. read more

I sent a broken Citizen PCAT watch to Hurley Roberts in March, 2023. i got an estimate of $160 to repair it and paid the fee in advance. After 12 weeks, I still didn't have my watch. I emailed during non-business hours and emails bounce any time outside of business hours. When I submitted email within business hours, I got a form letter saying there were staffing problems and delays getting original Citizen parts. Emailed two months later, same response. One year later, no watch. 18 months later, still no watch. I complained to Citizen customer service in California after one year and just got a reply that I should send broken watches to Citizen directly if I'm unhappy with a certified Citizen repair shop. But no action to send me a replacement or follow up with Hurley Roberts to get some action. I have used the status function on the web site and it just displays a generic message about repairs taking up to 12 weeks. It has been 18 months and i don't have a watch or a refund! Worst customer service I have ever received. Do NOT recommend. read more

It would be really nice if someone could contact my husband regarding his watch. This company has had the watch since January 2024. It should have been ready in March. But no one will pick up the phone or respond to his emails. He paid the invoice. But as of May 6, 2024, his watch has not been returned. read more

Warranty repair. They "fixed" my watch January 2024 and in a few months it stopped working. sent it back and in 2 months haven't head a word. Multiple calls and emails are not answered. They are simply a fraud. Used to be good but no more Slightly less value than a wooden nickle read more

Hurley Roberts had a watch of mine for repair since Nov. 2023, I was told it could take weeks for repairs and I was patient. However, after 2 months or more, I reached out for update on repair. Emails were answered with automatic responses about waiting on parts, being on vacation, and then reorganizing the business. The were sorry for delay but there was never an answer to when watch would be returned to me and I had paid over $200 for repair. I finally filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau. All of a sudden, the watch was repaired and they were ready to ship to me. It never made any sense to me. I received my watch today and it appears to run fine. It looks like repairs were made. Pretty sure I would never use Hurley Roberts again. read more

I sent my Citizen Eco-Drive to Hurley Roberts on June 13, 2024, and I have yet to hear ANYTHING from them about the status of repairs or if they have even received the watch into their system. This business appears to have serious communication problems and I am becoming concerned about their legitimacy, despite what their website says. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

I have used Hurley Roberts in the past and gave them stellar reviews. In February, I sent my Citizen Hyper Aqualand Dive Watch in for a new battery and was charged $279, which I paid 3 months ago. Still No watch. Have missed 2 dive trips since. I need my watch, no one answers the phones, No one answers email. This is so frustrating. @citizenwatch are you following what is going on here. I finally got my Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk back today. I sent it in on May 7th. They replied with an e-mail on May 24th saying that they received it. Three days later I got an estimate for repairs. After paying, they said it could take up to four weeks for the repair to be completed and for me to receive my watch. Sure enough, it's four weeks tomorrow. Why only three stars? I thought the e-mail confirming receipt could have been sent quicker. Sure, the tracking confirms it was delivered to the address, but it would be nice to have a little more confirmation than that. Second, four weeks is a long time. The repair facility in CA quotes 8-10 days. Finally, the invoice I got when I received the watch is the same as the estimate invoice. It's good that the prices match, but I'd like to know EXACTLY what they did. For example, the invoices state, "Recharge or replace the energy cell." For a watch like this, the energy cell is important. I wanted to know whether it was recharged OR replaced. So, I called. The service rep said that it would be replaced for sure due to the age of the watch. Well, I have no proof of that because the final invoice doesn't state that. So far, the watch seems to work well and it looks good (after the 30 minutes I've had it back). I suspect the workmanship is just fine. I think the customer interaction could be just a little better. Be patient. read more

Amongst many others here, and likely more who did not take time to post a review about Hurley Roberts, I would not recommend trusting this company with your watch. At all. I ultimately had to get my bank involved to get my watch returned and refunded after many months of run around to cancel work that I had paid for. This was a very frustrating experience with token responses, delays, and double speak. I don't think they even looked at my watch until after I paid given their inconsistent story. This is not a good business--laughably bad. Do not trust your watch with this company. Additionally, during this 7-month process I had notified Citizen Watch Company and they are well aware of the numerous complaints against Hurley Roberts. I am not sure how they maintain "authorized" status. read more

I bought a citizen watch repair strap in early February and still have not received any confirmation as to where my order is. Have called and emailed them multiple times but no response at all. After two months, I finally got my watch back. The mechanics and electronics work great. However the watchband was missing a pin, so the watch is not really useable in its current state. When I complained about the overall quality of the repair, the customer service rep who replied to my email simply insisted that the pin was there. Just a little bit arrogant in my view. Anyway, I'm sure these folks are good at what they do most of the time. But, I will not be doing business with them in the future. read more

I have been waiting for my watch repair for eight months now. I have been emailing customer service sometimes without a response. They are hugely overwhelmed by what appears to be inadequate staffing or huge turnover I hope the watch is completed soon but not confident in them at this point. I sent them 4 watches. The first three took 4-5 months to get back. All seem to be working fine from a repair perspective at this point. If you want promoter and more responsive service I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Paid for two watches to be serviced in 2/24. It is now July and services have not been done on one watch. Hurley Roberts Service - Watch Repair Near Me - Norcross, Georgia

I don't know what has happened to this company, I own a citizen Blue Angels watch that Hurley-Roberts has maintained at least twice in past years, and they did a prompt and capable job with it. I sent the same watch in to their business in October, 2022, and promptly paid for maintenance when asked. It is now January 19th 2023, and other than excuses over email, I do not have any idea when or if my watch will be returned to me. Very disappointed. And, no one answers the phone. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Similar to another comment on here - paid over $200 for a repair, it has been 8 months, and I have nothing. I have requested a refund and the return of my watch over a month ago - and I have received nothing. At this point - I'm just going with "Lesson Learned" - and don't expect to get anything back. If you are considering doing business with these people - do it at your own risk. read more

Horrible service and awful communication. This company held my watches for over two months and took no responsibility to make things right after many rounds of communication. They provided no reasonable approach to resolve issues which were relatively small. There are not many authorized Citizen repair shops in the area but if you have a choice to send elsewhere, you would be making a wise choice. Their prices are unjustifiable, communication is protracted, and absolutely zero customer service. Use them at your own risk. read more

A five star review for promptness, price and ease of doing business. My Citizen watch's leather band had worn out. I got the model number of my watch from the back of the watch, Googled it and then had a host of choices from where to order a new band. I randomly chose Hurley Roberts, and am glad that I did. Website was easy to navigate, I got a prompt acknowledgement and received my new watch band in the mail seven days later. Highly recommended for your Citizen watch needs. read more

I am so angry at this company, they have had my watch since early April. It is now June 2, 2022 and they ahve taken my money but not returned the watch. Do not send your watch to them . i have literally been waiting since 30 Nov for my watch. At first glance, free estimate, mail it in blah, blah and then they leave you waiting. There is no transparency forcing me to email for updates. Yes Covid I get it, but 4 months to repair a watch? It's not even really worth it but seeing I started the process I'd stick it out. I hope to get my watch before the new battery dies init. Unless you want to be without your watch for an extended period, just buy a new one! I would never send a watch here again. read more

Recently broke the glass on my Citizen Skyhawk watch, and went to explore options to have it fixed. After some price hunting, I determined that the Hurley Robert Service was the most affordable, and the fastest turnaround. After reading all the reviews on Yelp and Google, I determined that this is the course of action I wanted to take. Their website is fairly easy to navigate, and supplies you with ample descriptions. The service label they prepared is prepaid, which is convenient, especially since I was out of town and in Alaska. My request for an email quote before sending in my watch was responded to quickly, however they informed me that since the circumstances of each repair are unique, it would require me sending it in for free. After mailing my watch to Hurley Roberts Service, they got in touch via email, and informed me of the quote, and were able to process the payment quickly via Paypal, and proceeded to work on my watch. The biggest factor for choosing them was their ability to install the sapphire glass upgrade, compared to the normal glass I had previously on my watch. The price for this was reasonable, and the service was done quickly. When I receive my watch back, they had detailed every single action that they took on the timepiece including the paperwork for the pressure test and waterproof test. All in all, I very much appreciate the work that you did, the speed at which it was accomplished, and the communication throughout the process. Keep up the great work! read more

I sent them my watch In early January 2021. I still have not received it and they continue to fall back on the excuse of Covid. I could have used a local repair shop to make a relatively simple repair and right now I have no idea if I'll ever see my watch back. Good thing it's a cheap Ecodrive watch, so if they go bankrupt I'll only be out $500. Guess its time to add another watch to my jewelry box and consider filing a claim with the BBB. I've always thought Covid took business away from us, that's why many companies furloughed employees. As soon as the business picks back up, you put more people back on payroll. I'm guessing this isn't their business model. There's no possible way this significant delay is caused by Covid. Anyways, there are many qualified companies that can perform quality watch repair, I recommend you find one in your local area and save yourself many back and forth e-mails with Hurley Roberts Service. read more

I sent in my wife's Citizen's Watch in October and was told that it would be about six weeks. After several requests for an update and being told several times that it was to be finished in a week or two, I finally requested the watch be sent back, unrepaired. this was in April, months after the promised delivery date. Mark and Glen continually misled me about the status of the repair. I'd never use them again and certainly would advise others to seek a repair elsewhere. read more

Extremely Dissatisfied! Submitted my Citizens Dive Watch for a new battery and minor gasket replacement in late May 2017. After paying for the repairs in full, I received an email on June 6 stating "It can take up to four weeks from this point until your watch is repaired and passes Quality Control". That was the last I heard from them. I sent an email on July 07 asking about the status of my watch - the reply I received was "We hope to finish this up and ship it back late this week". I waited another 10 days and sent a second follow-up email on July 17 asking about the status of my watch - I receive a reply stating "I hope that we will complete your repair this week and ship your watch back to you." I sent a third email on July 26 again asking about the status of my watch - I received a reply stating "I am pleased to report that your watch will be shipping back to you today. " I FINALLY received my watch today, August 01, 2017. Repairs appear to be in order, however the lack of communication and complete lack of customer service is inexcusable!
