From the moment I called until I picked up my car, I had a great experience with Gerard's. I initially spoke with Frank and then Brian took care of me throughout the process. You can tell that they value their work even down to the waiting area inside the shop. There were freshly baked cookies and everything was very neat and clean. I feel like you don't often see that in automotive shops. They accommodated me quickly and were able to solve the problem with my trunk and I am so happy that's it's fixed. I was initially quoted an exorbitant amount down in Florida to fix it and so I am very happy that I was able to find a shop with honest and reliable mechanics!! I thought it was the starter and being a Saturday- looked very grim for me to get anything done on a Mercedes Benz- anytime soon (things were closing and not opening until Monday and then I would have had to wait for them to finish up he weekend stuff...so I was realistically looking at Tues before I could even think about leaving...) Thankfully I found this place and the next day (Sunday) he came out and it ended up being a battery that was going bad. It saved me a lot of time, and not to mention the major savings of the extra night(s) accommodations, and price of a starter repair (5 1/2 hr job) vs. a battery. I appreciated the honesty - friendliness - and promptness of this fella. I even had payment drama w/my card and had to run to the ATM and get him cash - all the while he remained patient and friendly & even gave me a ride to the ATM. I would HIGHLY recommend just calling this fella first. He really saved me a lot of hassle- THX VERY MUCH!

He and his team took my truck even though they were booked out and about to close and got me back on the road!!! I really wanted this to be a good experience, but unfortunately, it wasn't. We contacted this…read moremobile mechanic service when our car wouldn't start, hoping for a quick fix. It was late, we were stuck in a parking garage at 10 PM with no tools, and we trusted their guidance. The mechanic started service around 4 or 5 PM and we didn't leave until 1 AM. We were charged $681 total, including $165 for a diagnostic and the cost/labor for two batteries. The mechanic mentioned we could replace the batteries ourselves to save money, but that really wasn't realistic given the situation we were in. The biggest issue was the lack of communication. For hours, there was no clear diagnostic explanation, and it wasn't until after the batteries were replaced around 10 PM that we were told the issue might be related to a computer system failure. This was not mentioned at all before we replaced the batteries, which made it feel like we were going in circles. After everything was done, we still didn't have a working car, and we were left without any real answers or codes to understand the problem. Eventually, we had to tow the car to Pep Boys, where they diagnosed and fixed the issue for just $177. We feel that this mobile service could've been more transparent and provided clearer communication throughout the process. Given the high cost and lack of results, I'm sharing this review to help others avoid the same frustrating experience.
