Very competitive home heating oil delivered daily, North of Boston. They also do yearly oil boiler cleaning. Best prices over all.

When I tried to collect the card I was told I had to be a customer for 6 months. Wasn't mentioned up front, but no biggie. Now after 6+ months, I once again tried too get the gift card. I filled out the form and jumped through the hoops... Today I received an e-mail saying my payments were "not on time" as required for the rebate. I have Auto Pay. I have never missed a payment. My payments are Never Late. This is B.S. Find someone else... anyone else.

I received a call with from a rep using misleading tactics to get me to agree to switch my service to Think Energy. I told him about the door rep claiming to be Eversource and how unethical this was and told him I would not be moving my service. 1 week later I received a letter in the mail from Think Energy thanking me for switching my service and stating that they had notified my old provider of the change. I not once granted permission for this and specifically said I do not want their service but they went ahead and switched it anyway. Do not use this company, and be wary of door to door representatives.

Over the last 15 years, they have replaced our boiler (in the depth of winter) and then as our piping needed upkeep and improvement, they've come back reliably even when they're under great pressure. We will sorely miss them now that they've retired. They deserve a rest and I hope they can relax and enjoy retirement. Thanks Tom, Brendan, and team!!

Pro: relatively quick response Con: Incompetent/lazy…read more I was recommended them by my neighbor so thought I would ask them to come diagnose an issue with my air conditioner. Someone came over and looked at the unit and said that the problem was most likely a clogged drainage tube. But, since the air handler was in a crawl space, the technician declared that he could do nothing about it since he couldn't get to it. He even suggested that we should knock down a wall if we want to service it. He made absolutely no attempt to find a solution and declared a lack of options and gave up. With that said, we decided to get a second opinion and had another company come in for the same issue. That person not only decided to go into the crawl space but he did the same service and cleared the clogged pipe from inside the crawl space. So, basically, their technician was not only lazy but also suggested we waste thousands of dollars knocking down a wall to fix an issue that eventually cost us $150 with the new guy. This is a terrible look for Prendergast Oil. I was charged $120 by them for nothing at all because their technician was too lazy to do actual work. I hope this helps you improve their service. I don't want to just resort to a bad review somewhere because I would like you, as a local business, to improve your services.

My partner and I hired James "Jim" DiStefano of J.F.D. Contracting Co., Inc., now doing business as…read moreJ.F.D. Corporation, to install a septic system at our property in Stoughton back in 2014. We agreed on a price of $16,000. Jim, after the project was "spiked", came to us for an additional $5,000 under the guise of needing more fill than anticipated. We kept our mouths shut at the time because, after many delays, we needed the septic system installed and, more importantly, he already had a sizable chunk of our money as a deposit. We had the choice of firing him and, in so doing, having to fight to get our deposit back, which would've been a bigger hassle, or keeping our mouths shut and going along with the charade. We decided to continue the charade... The sad part? Jim seemed to have done some nice work; it's his business ethics and morals which are severely lacking. I was embarrassed that I was dumb enough to get involved with somebody like Jim back then, I'm a Realtor, and I'm still embarrassed but I'd rather warn people before they get wrapped up in his web. I forgot to mention, in my original review, that Jim DiStefano allowed potentially dirty fill, it hasn't been tested yet, from the development of the new Cumberland Farms at 590 Washington Street, Stoughton to be dumped in our yard and in our neighbor's yard. The owner of 590 Washington Street, Stoughton at the time was either Cumberland Farms or Schiavo Enterprises which is run by Robert Schiavo and Daniel Schiavo. The fill came from the part of the Cumberland Farms redevelopment on Lincoln Street, located between 20 Lincoln Street and 40 Lincoln Street; Mario's Railing is located at 20 Lincoln Street. How do we know? We happened to be driving to our home, down Lincoln Street to School Street and noticed the excavation work and dump trucks on Lincoln Street. We then caught the driver of a dump truck, red handed, dumping the dirty fill in our yards! We asked the driver: "Who told you that you could dump this here?" The answer? "Jim DiStefano..."
