TLTR: Main Line Garage Door ("MLGD") strung me along for 2 months and during that time damaged one…read moreof my garage doors and attempted a bait-and-switch on the opener equipment they tried to sell me. This one is truly a headscratcher. I contacted Main Line Garage Door based on the positive reviews online. I simply can't reconcile how my experience with them was so drastically different then the reviews I read online. I could go into a lengthy story about my experience but it's not worth the time. The short version is that MLGD are terrible communicators and because of that my whole dealings with them painfully stretched on for 2 months. During those 2 months the only thing that happened was they damaged my solid wood garage door and tried to install a different opener then what was agreed to in the price quote. They said the reason for the damage to the door was because it was rotted. There were sheared off bolt heads on the floor of my garage and if wood was rotted, it wouldn't shear off the heads of bolts when trying to drive them into the wood. Lower torque setting or drilling pilot holes may have prevented splitting the door panel. Main Line Garage Door made no offer to try to remedy the damage to the door. They also did not respond to either a phone call or email when asking about why they tried to install a different opener then what was agreed to in the price quote. To me, both of these instances seem like dishonest business practices and you may want to think twice about contacting them. Any response from Main Line Garage Door to this review trying to refute anything that I have said is simply false. Ultimately, I cancelled all services from Main Line Garage Door and have decided to replace both of my Garage Doors with custom doors from a different company.
