Women at the counter are worthless, slow, rude, generally unconcerned. Will do nothing to be helpful. Expensive evening to be treated so poorly. Took 30 minutes of our paid time to get shoes. Had intended to eat drink and party for our birthday girl. We left. You guys suck. Women in the bar were nice.! read more

A traditional Bowling Center. They offer everything you need to get started, improve and enjoy bowling. There are a number of leagues, as well as open bowling and a Pro Shop. The food is good, the people friendly and prices reasonable. read more

This place is crazy. Went for a really nice dinner in downtown Howell with friends. Bowling afterwards sounded great. Boy did this place fill up fast. Put our names in before 9:30pm, got a drink at the bar and waited to be called. It's affordable night out with no frills. The bowling is cheap, the beer is cold and cheap and lanes are oiled. That is all you need. We had a lot of fun. It does get busy for Saturday bowling so get there early to reserve a lane. It's $5 per game plus shoe rental. Plenty of balls but get your fav before the crowd. Lots of seating however not a lot of room between the tables. No service - you have to go to the bar for your drinks. No food either though I did see a restaurant of sorts there. I was looking for something sweet and the old man that worked there pointed me to some leftover holiday brownies from the party they had earlier. The old lady got mad at him for offering them to me for free. I appreciated the offer and we happily bought drinks from the bar and tipped well. We'll be back with our friends. read more

Howell Bowl-E-Drome - Hopping Saturday night. Open bowling starts 9:30p - Bowling Near Me - Howell, Michigan

This place would be a lot more enjoyable if half the workers were replaced. Felt very disrespected especially with a certain worker at the front desk. The lady working the bar wasn't very friendly either. If you want to be treated like shit this is the place to go read more

Old school bowling alley with nice lounge ..pitchers of beer and soft drinks plus great tasting appetizers, pizza and sandwiches. They even have Bosco sticks! A family friendly way to spend time together on a rainy afternoon. Plenty of parking . read more

Howell Bowl-E-Drome - Bowling Near Me - Howell, Michigan

We used to love this bowling alley. If you struggle with kids, chaos and customer service, you shouldn't be in this business. The food is good, the bathrooms are clean but we miss the previous owner Ryan. read more

I've been bowling all my life and bowled in many houses in Michigan. I bowled here once and came away disappointed. Games were more expensive than other houses and the keypads at each lane are purposely turned off so you can't even do a score change or reset your lane when a pin is missing (which happens frequently). You have to walk to the front desk and stand in line for them to fix. They also refused to give us a new lane even though half the house was open. I think that's poor/lazy customer service and I wouldn't bowl here again and would advise you go to a different house. read more

Absolutely LOVE this bowling alley! Prices are reasonable and guy behind counter is very helpful and friendly! I usually bowl there and practice on Sunday afternoons. He knows me when I walk in and the lanes are well kept and food is pretty good! Only ordered french fries but was a lot for reasonable price! Will go there to practice from now on! ALWAYS have a great time there! Have taken my son there a couple of times and both loved it! Love to watch the little ones (bowlers in the making) bowl and be surprised if they get a strike or pick up a spare or split! Used to practice at Brighton Bowl (I bowl on a league there). Since they went to by hour bowling only now I don't practice there anymore! Love that Howell Bowl-E-Drome has either by the hour (for families with little kids) or per game! Usually bowl about 6 games and absolutely LOVE it! read more

My husband and 18 year old son were waiting for the rest of the family to arrive and ended up walking out due to the way they were treated. The server asked for a CC or ID before they could even order because "a lot of people walk out" No one else had to do this. It took them a few minutes to realize they were being profiled. Their drinks were put into Togo cups even though they stated they were eating there. She was very rude and kept watching them. We don't go out often and we will never go here again. Such a disappointing experience. read more

The lady who answered the phone and was running the place was super rude. She had a bad attitude. The gal who was running the restaurant was nice and the steak sandwich and fries were pretty good. read more

I'm in here quite often as my brother is apart of the Cleary Bowling Team. Every time we come in we receive great service from Ryan and the other staff members. This bowling alley is one of the cleanest I've ever been to. The pricing is fair for both a game of bowling and rentals. If you want to go out for a night of fun Howel Bowl-E-Drome is the place to be! read more

This bowling alley offers the "Kids Bowl Free" program over the summer, which I find to be completely amazing! They are the only one in Howell that is affiliated with the program. Kids can bowl everyday of the summer, 2 games for free. Just have to pay for shoes. There is also a discounted family pass so that adults can bowl too! You should sign up if you haven't already! I took a group of 3 kids on a Wednesday afternoon. We were helped quickly and the lady behind the counter joked with the kids & was very polite. We needed bumpers and the metal thing to push the ball from & they were more than helpful in getting it set up for us. We had a great time! The bowling alley itself is pretty typical of others I've been to. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable with a good crowd. The kids can't wait to go back! read more

See all

Love it, Ryan is always accommodating, and the bar is great too. We drive by Brighton Bowl and Striking Lanes for the Bowl-E-Droms

I haven't been bowling in awhile so I took my kids and nephew to bowl including my 1 1/2 yr old daughter. There was 6 of us. We paid for 2 games. They put us on one lane. It was 4 pm. Someone who works there then came up to my boyfriend at 4:25 and told him we had to be done by 5 pm. So they put the 3 boys on another lane. Myself, my boyfriend and daughter didn't get done with our 1st game until 4:45. We told the guy at the counter that we wouldn't be done with our 2nd game by 5. They gave my bf tokens for a free game to come back and play on a different day. But we have to pay for our shoes when we do. They said they couldnt give us our money back for the game we didn't play. The lady who rang us up didn't tell us we had to be done by 5. If she had i would have only said 1 game. I spent $100 just to be rushed to finish the games Im very disapointed and will not be returning. read more

Surly staff throughout, angry at the world. Incredibly unfriendly and unhappy overall. Do yourself and them a favor, go somewhere else!

The bartender and servers are nice, a little coo coo. The larger manager though is very rude and has no customer service skills. We were on a league and had to miss one day, we called Friday night and asked if we could make it up. They said yes. We showed up and the manager said "we dont do league make ups on fridays" and then proceeded to allow open bowlers to come in but turned us away who had already prepaid for this league. This happened to us twice!!! We called ahead both times and they told us to come in and then they changed their minds when we showed up and turned us away. The larger manager was a douche bag about both of these situations. The bowling alley is a decent size. The prizes in the arcade suck. Drinks are a reasonable price and food isnt bad. read more

PREFECT music. the vibe was fab. the smell was 10/10 , i love a good authentic bowling alley smell. FREE WATER!!!!!!!!! Bartender very nice. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! read more

Called ahead for open bowl, was told open bowling takes place all day, but not between 6p-9p due to league... perfect for my schedule. Got there with the kids at 4p. They would not let us bowl since they start prepping for league at 5p and denied anyone would tell me otherwise over the phone. Guy at the desk was rude and seemed proud to let me not bowl. He didn't apologize to me or my disappointed kids. We've supported the place in the past and held birthday parties there, but now I'll make the 15 minute drive to brighton instead. read more

If you're looking for the shittiest most watered down drinks in Howell, come on in and order a double and you MIGHT get the taste you're looking for. I just ordered a second drink and was served the same glass, same old lime, and no new ice. The staff is slow and the bartender is 100, maybe counting to 5 on the pour is asking too much? For the amount of money we pay for our league and the price of the drinks I'd expect more than dirty glasses and used limes. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A DRINK. read more

Management very rude. Wouldn't let me wait inside for my friends to show up. Was asked to pay now or leave.

Called ahead for pricing since we had a decent size group. Lady on the phone quoted us $2 a game for kids. Upon arriving the man arriving the counter charged us $4 a game for the kids. He told us the girl we talked to was "new" and refused to honor her pricing. He was is generally unhelpful and we would have went elsewhere if not for the "new" girls mistake. read more

Came in with free game coupons with my three daughters to kind of scope the place out for a birthday party in a couple weeks. Rude, condescending and snippy. If it weren't for the coupon for the free game I would have absolutely walked out. No wonder everyone says go to Striking Lanes instead. It's a real shame. Will not spend my money here in the future. read more

despite what that cretin stephanie says, i have no problem with the bar staff. been going there for years now. they have a poorer that does the drinks for them. really someones age is a complains? time to grow up. aside from that, i do have my own complains. prices are steep for some tings, in my opinion and some games in kitchen are broken often but ive never had a problem in bar. read more

Went on a weekend night for open bowling, we called ahead to confirm what time it started. Once we arrived, the guy put our names down, said about 10 minutes. We watched the lanes clear from leagues, others names were called and 45 minutes later and a pitcher of beer, we left! There were plenty of open lanes ready to go, but the guy was some kind of control freak who called up next party when he was ready. Bar service was slow and rude. read more

I have lived in Howell for three years and never went to the bowling alley. I finally went because my daughter was asking to go. I expected it to be kind of gross inside and wasn't sure if it was going to be a friendly environment for four and a half year-old. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's actually very clean and nice inside and they were very accommodating to my four-year-old. She had a special ball that was smaller... They had a ramp she could use to send the ball down the lane, and the bumpers would pop up automatically when it was her turn. The food is nothing spectacular but it is there. And they have a decent menu for a small town bowling alley. The people that were in there where very friendly and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. We were there on a Friday between 530 and 7:30 PM. The lady at the bar means well. She's just pretty slow so if you're going expecting stellar service you'll probably be disappointed. I am mainly writing this review so that if other parents are looking to bring their kids there, but are not sure what to expect they know that it's a decent place to go read more
