I love this park! It's like a hidden gem.The parking lot was closed so we parked near some houses where some cars were and went down this forestry path where there was a bridge walk and stairs down the beach. We saw a train that passed by and a couple doing a rope and weight exercise on the beach. I thought about doing that! It's a nice park for families absolutely. Gorgeous sunset on this day. I'd definitely come back!

Found this gem on our drive back to the airport. It is a quick turn off the main road and has a small public parking lot. Absolutely beautiful location with kids play structure and tennis courts, public bathrooms and a field and tables for sun bathing, picnics and several benches where you can watch the ocean. We sat in the sun and supped coffee it was a beautiful northwest day. One of many greater Everett parks!

I love taking my dog to the beach. The right side is an offense dog beach and the left is meant for dogs to stay on leash. The park is rather large which helps everyone not feel too crowded and people are usually really good at watching their dogs.

The train runs through the park.

Evidently I live a few minutes away from a nice sandy beach and I had absolutely no idea! Since I moved to the PNW I just assumed the beaches here were all rocky but I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this park was. Originally I parked in the upper lot not knowing that there was a second lot closer to the waterfront. The first area has a cute playground and a few fields with a little looping trail. There were picnic benches with excellent views and it was very quiet. There's a wooded trail that leads down to the waterfront from there but it was closed. From the lower parking lot you have a little walk, a decent amount of stairs, and a bridge over the train tracks to get to the beach. Since the weather was so nice there were a lot of people and a few dogs having a great time in and around the water. The train was idle there for quite a while so it wasn't exactly quiet but it was cool to watch the train go by when it departed. That was my only concern about the park. There is no fencing between the beach and the train tracks but it's probably a good idea to keep an eye on your kids and not have your dog off leash if they won't come when they're called anyway. I just kept my dog on his leash to be safe. There's a beautiful view of the sound and the beach was surprisingly clean for how busy it was. I'm sure it's just as beautiful and a little quieter during colder months so I'll be back! Hopefully that trail is open again soon, it looked gorgeous.

What a beautiful park!!! We found parking easily in. It's upper and lower lots. Lots of dogs running around but not a lot of people. We dug in the sand, jumped around in the water, ate some snacks and enjoyed the view and also the really long trains that go by. Will definitely be back. Was really clean too!

This park was an interesting experience. When I first arrived I saw a parking lot next to a kids play area, and drove past only to see local access road signs. So I parked in one of the marked spaces and started taking a walk. At first glance from this area it appeared as common picnic park with restrooms and play areas for the kids, and I was about to get in my car and leave. Instead I decided to take a slight detour toward the wooded area toward the center of the park a discovered a small stair case leading down to a babbling brook. After descending this stair cased I crossed a small bridge only to run into another collapsed bridge in disrepair. I decided to be adventurous and climb down and navigate around it. And after proceeding along the trail I was pleasantly surprised to find the other part of the park that so many were bragging about. I ascended the other side to discover a railroad and covered bridge to wide open beach area, and after doing some exploring I decided to climb back up the other side of the wooded area to discover what I had not explored in the car. Another parking area and a large residential area on the opposite of the park with many homes for sale. When I reached the end of the road I could see the parking lot with my car and I was standing at the end of a road marked for local access only. I was glad I went the wrong way on this one, I discovered an nice section of this park that appears to be disintegrating into disrepair but hold many special attractions to its natural beauty.

Welcome to the park

A hidden gem. Even though beach access is closed, there is a great overlook of the Sound.

Jetty Island - Bald eagle

A nature preserve, we saw bald eagles, seals, and osprey plus clams, crabs and ghost shrimp in the tidal flats. Reserve tickets are required for thr boat ride, and you must reserve a return time. Early returns fill up fast, and winds pick up in the afternoon, so take a jacket.

So better be on time and make a line if this happens. This year was different. We got tickets but there was just another family. Maybe because we got there at midday. Beach was crowded. We had to walk just a little bit to get a spot and set everything. People come and go with every ferry so there's always space. Just a dew benches but everyone wants to be at the beach near the dry sand. Water will come later on, but the rest is wet. You have to walk for a few minutes to get to the water. It is pretty shallow. This year we had to run because it was shrimp season and they make sand unstable. At first everyone wants to dodge algae, but you end up stepping on it. Getting into the water was the same. It felt like quicksand. It didn't feel quite relaxing. 10 years ago it we would stay for hours in water. Kids would play easily. We'll, at least animals hace set a home! Jetty is a small island just a quarter of mile from Port of Everett. But i don't think you will be able to swim with all your stuff back and forth after a day there :D You ca always kayak if there's no more room in the Ferry. By the way, it is a small passengers only. Strollers won't move on sand so leave it in your car. Do bring everything you need like water, towels, a tent that can resist wind (it gets pretty windy and can blow umbrellas), etc. If you bring food, take all you garbage with you. Don't leave anything. I saw some kids stuff laying there waiting for the water to come over and take it to the sea. So sad. I carried most of it because there are no garbage bins in sight. Also, there is just one floating restroom. It tends to smell. Take it into consideration when drinking lots of water. We usually go to the one in the parking lot first and when coming back. It is very clean. Lots of stalls. Parking lot is big if you extend it to the grass area. There is always someone checking you paid for it.

The lack of respect by other dog owners here is clearly lacking at this park. We ended up leaving early because of all the dog feces. So I decided to give this one a chance as it had fairly all raving reviews. From a first glance, when we first arrived, parking was very minimal and I'm not sure how well that would work if it were to be a busier day and time. The beginning area for dogs to play around was quite small comparatively to some other parks I've went to but I found that the focus is primarily on the trails. The trail itself was nice, pretty well-maintained however some of the fences are all bent and seem like a hazard if your dog was to be sprinting or kids were running and bumped into it. Though my shepherd is fabulous with recall, the area is not completely fenced off so there is a chance your pooch could find their way to a school or parking lot towards the top. We walked for about 40 minutes and everything was seemingly going quite well and we were enjoying ourselves. Until, we came back to the gate to leave. As I was approaching, I noticed two dog owners and their dogs chatting. As I was getting closer, my shepherd went ahead in front of me and out of nowhere, the lady's dog full force rushes my dog and bites her in the leg. As I'm rushing to go to my dog and make sure everything is alright, the lady just says "Oh we've just been here too long". Excuse me? Off-Leash places should have mannered dogs that don't just randomly attack other dogs. My dog was literally just strolling along and got trampled and bit until she squealed. To top it off, the other dog owner came over trying to comfort my dog by hugging her and holding her and I told him she's probably even more scared because you're a stranger to her and she's not getting any comfort from you, he completely ignored me. After this my dog was off all day, she was erratic and on guard when I went to my training class with the other dogs. So much so, that I had to take her outside for a break to calm down. People need to have well-mannered dogs and be able to control their dogs. My pup keeps to herself and doesn't provoke other dogs or cause problems. This should be every dog that comes to an off leash dog area, otherwise don't bring your dog or go get some training done.
