Both of my children attended a different outdoor pre-school for the Fall 2025 semester where their experience was overwhelmingly positive. At their prior school, the lead teacher was a former elementary school teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience. At PNWK, the teachers were considerably less experienced. All teachers, including the lead, were fairly recent graduates who, while passionate about nature and children, did not have the depth of expertise nor formal early childhood education training that we were expecting. The lack of formal training and experience became more evident to us when we learned about behavioral challenges our kids were having at school. While the teachers were kind, they did not seem equipped to deal with problematic behaviors. Similarly, the program as a whole did not seem designed to meet kids where the are, but rather to push "problem children" out through regular calls for early pick ups. Within several weeks of starting the program, we began receiving calls for early pick ups on a regular basis. Keep in mind a "full day" is only 3 hours including the time they are eating their packed lunch, and that they only attended 2 days a week. Obviously this created a lot of stress for our family, and an inability to treat the program as reliable childcare. Unfortunately, that stress also seemed to permeate to our kids who began to say they did not like school, which was heartbreaking to hear. The reports we got seemed to indicate that their behavior at school only worsened over the course of the semester. When it became more clear that the program was not a good fit for our family, we began asking about withdrawing or phasing out of the program. Unfortunately, the payments are structured such that you cannot withdraw without forfeiting significant amounts of advance tuition. However, we eventually cut our losses and moved on. Truthfully, there was a tremendous mental weight lifted off our family after separating from the program, as it had created a lot of stress for both us and our children. It's disappointing because this seems to the only outdoor preschool program in the area, and my children previously had such positive experiences at their prior school.

Siri and Nancy are truly the backbone of this flourishing school. The staff welcomes ideas on improvements and is so open to receiving feedback - which is so important to parents of young kids. This open communication has been pivotal to us. Thanks to the teachers' influence, we have experienced development in our children's social skills, willingness to be curious and a love for hopefully lifelong learning. All the teachers throughout the years have been amazing - pleasant personalities, positive attitudes and a caring nature. We're constantly amazed by the thoughtful curriculum and creative activities, though it has changed a few times but for the better. The art projects that come home are so cute. Communication with the staff is excellent. We love receiving the daily updates and photos - it helps us feel connected to our child's day. We highly recommend Goddard to any family looking for a nurturing and enriching environment for their child. Thank you to the entire team for all that you do!

I also really appreciate the daily updates and pictures; they give us so much peace of mind. A special shout-out to Ms. Jerri, Ms. Yasmin, and Ms. Antonia. We couldn't have asked for better support. Overall, we feel so grateful to have our child here and would highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a nurturing, caring, and supportive environment.

The teacher, Ms. Nikki, is truly phenomenal and has a special gift for connecting with kids and helping them believe in their own creativity the studio is warm, welcoming, and safe, and kids are encouraged to be themselves, try new things, and make bold creative choices without fear of "messing up." Class sizes are small, so our daughter gets plenty of individual attention and guidance while still enjoying a fun group atmosphere with other young artists. She comes home after each class proud of what she's created, using real art materials and techniques that make her feel like a "real artist." Over time, we've watched her confidence grow right along with her skills, from learning new mediums to experimenting with color, shading, and detail in ways she never would have tried on her own. She looks forward to every class, and we love seeing how much joy and calm art brings her at the start of a busy week. If you're looking for a place where your child can feel supported, inspired, and genuinely seen, I would highly recommend Art Spot Studio and Ms. Nikki.

Horses are brought in using a golf cart in groups of often three at a time. The horses aim to kick and bite each other and all the handlers do is yell at them. If that wasn't bad enough, I watched the lead stablehand lead a very gentle older mare into a stall and when she didn't go he smacked her with the lead rope on her face and she spooked and bashed her head on the overhead beam of the stall - he seemed less than concerned. When horses kick for dinner they throw brooms and other items at the front of the stalls. The stalls frequently smell of heavy ammonia. Horses are constantly escaping their turnouts. Running down fences, bolting out open gates and getting away from handlers with the golf cart. One poor filly even ran the fence and got in with another horse and was kicked, broke her leg and was euthanized. Horses will be horses but there are no changes being made. When these concerned were brought to the owner, she denied that her staff is hard on the horses and claimed her fencing was in working condition and safe. Boarder beware.

We were out of town for a while when the weather was hot, we got a call saying they suspected our mare was colicky, in our absence Kelly walked our mare and cooled her off until she felt better, then checked on her through the night. Top quality training is also available at GP- I have taken lessons from both Lisa and Kelly-I love them both!! For the time my husband I were there we felt like we were a part of one big family. Sadly we have had to move, but we take with us many fond and happy memories of our time at Greatful Pines.
