Went here to see a friend's band, Month of Mondays. This was a college reunion trip with a bunch of Blue Ho's. This place was packed, but the bartender was on top of orders and we had a table to rest from dancing. Fireball, beers, and booze was flowing as we jammed out to some great cover songs. It was weird walking in to a deli shop to find a hidden bar in the back that holds ~100 people. Sounded great and thanks for a wonderful night! read more

it used to be the best sandwich shop in town but the consistency has really fell off. we just wont go there anymore because they only serve food if the bartender feels like it. some nights i come in and they have the full menu, other nights the bartender gives us the menu and when we try to order he says we cant order a sandwich. If you want to play a stupid guessing game based on the bartenders mood then come on in. If he doesnt feel like making it, which is most nights, go to sports break and don't waste your time. sports break has the second best sandwiches in town and they wont treat you wrong. or hell go to popeyes if you wanted to get treated badly when ordering food. its really ridiculous . read more

If I'm in the mood for a sandwich, this is a good local place to visit. I haven't had a sandwich here that i didn't like. I recently tried the number 5 which has chicken, bacon, sliced green apples,cucumber havarti ,cheese sriracha and mayo . The apples are good compliment. Service is always good as well. read more

The only reason I am even giving this restaurant 1 star, is because the woman that took our order to go was very pleasant! She explained that the "hand cut" fries would take 20 minutes, because she knew we were traveling another 2.5 hours to tour another college with our daughter. We decided to check out some local stores, while we waited on the fries. We had already traveled 2.5 hours from north Atlanta to tour Lander University & we always like to support local, so we found this place on Yelp....waste of our time & money; fries took 30 minutes and not only were they lacking any flavor, they were soggy! The other young lady working there was very rude. We ordered the roast beef & turkey paninis & they were ok. I would not recommend this restaurant, if you are visiting Greenwood! read more

Drove up to Greenwood SC today to get out of Augusta Masters visitors. Glad to see them come and then go. Had lunch at Howard's on Main. We ate there a few years back and were pleased. I had a sub that was delicious as well as great fries. My wife ate Tomato bisque said it was the best she ever had and 1/2 turkey Panini which she said was delicious. They were very busy but we were served rather quickly. Sat outside. People were VERY friendly. Highly recommend. read more

Great service and food. Location is slightly dated but overall a great dinner. Creamed spinach was yummy. The tiramisu is also delicious.

Tried this place for something new and was absoutly amazed by how fresh and delicious the door was. Had a Rueben with fries (on special with a drink for $8). Meat was fresh and high quality, as was the sourkrout, 1000 island, and marble rye. Fries were also good. For the quality and quantity their prices were very reasonable. I would have given this place 5 stars but our "waitress" was fairly rude and unresponsive. To be fair they had a huge party in the back and most wait staff was catering a wedding down the street. I'm sure this isnt the usual service but if the food wasnt so food I probably would be back (but it was, so I will try them again). read more

Just stopped in on our way to Clemson for a quick bite. Big upside surprise. Our bartender/server, Katie, was a delight. She was helpful with suggestions, quick with beverages and her recommendations were spot on. I got the roast beef panini. It was tender and juicy and the "special sauce" was perfect. It came with an au jus (dippin' sauce for my fellow Carolinians) and it made the plate. Delish! This is our new go-to stop in Greenwood. See you next time Katie Bug. read more

I don't know why I have never eaten here... first time but definitely won't be the last!!! My daughter had a cheeseburger that smelled delicious. She sure was gobbling it up! My husband & I split a sandwich & panini. The spicy Italian panini was good. I especially liked the flavor the jalapeño added. But my favorite was the pastrami sandwich! Best pastrami I've had! I made mmmm noises the whole time I ate my half! I had pasta salad which was good but had I known their fries were fresh hand cut fries that's what I would've gotten. Thankfully I was able to share with my husband. Owner & wait staff were very friendly. There are tables & a bar in back- place is a lot bigger than it looks. This is a great place to go for lunch or after work for a beer in the Backroom bar. They have good paninis. Their various flavor combinations work well together. While I waited for my food, I snacked on potato chips that were thicker than regular and quite tasty. They also serve chicken strips and wings. I prefer the chicken strips to the wings (wings were a little small). The service is also good. All of the wait staff are very friendly. read more

Honestly, I've been there tons of times and only had 2 different sandwiches. That is because they are soooo good that I'm scared to try anything that I may enjoy less. The #5 a Chicken, Havarti, Apple, Cucumber mix of deliciousness. Then there's the Veggie Humus wrap. Filling and crispy and yum. The both come with Kettle cooked chips & dip and the options of fruit salad, potato salad, and.. sadly I forget the other option. I always get the fruit salad, but those with allergies be warned it does contain nuts. I've had the soup and enjoyed it as well. They know their way around an espresso machine also. The owner himself is often there helping make sandwiches and ring up customers. He is hands on and friendly. The Backroom bar is a chill place for Trivia, bands, wine with friends or an all out free for all Karaoke! The bartenders are friendly and knowledgable even when they are super busy. It's nice to have a place you can go out to and not come home reaking of smoke. For the smokers out there, do not dismay. They have plenty of outdoor tables & seating as well. :) read more

I went there for lunch today, with mixed results. I tried the howard's cheesesteak special, which was both uninspired, and hardly a cheesesteak (few onions, nothing oozing). As a sandwich, it was ok, could have benefitted from some onions. And the service was quite good, kept refilling our drinks. Howard's is a great place to go for lunch, dinner, or evening fun. I've been there to see live shows, play trivia on Tuesdays, or just hang out. The food is great, but they unfortunately stop serving at eight or nine, and the service can be a little slow. If they have an event that brings people in, they are usually understaffed, especially in the bar area. All in all, though, it has a great atmosphere, great bottled beer selection, and great food. Coming from a bigger town, I was definitely hoping to find a "go-to" hang out place, and this definitely makes the top of my list. read more
