The food was good but the price was higher than the amount of food I received. The wait for my food was a bit too long since they didn't have as many customers inside the restaurant. read more

Great restaurant. The Reuben sandwich I had there years ago left a lasting impression on me. The soups are very good too. Excellent little place to grab a bite for sure. read more

Awesomely fresh food, very diverse menu all so good. Get here early! Home cooked and all delicious read more

Excellent!!! So many great choices . A local gem. Service is always good. Sit at the bar to watch creations. I don't think a bad choice can be made. Out of this world onion rings. Homemade, you won't be able to eat anywhere else once you've had these rings. Plenty of variety to choose from. In addition at least (4) soup choices each day. Cheese sticks are a favorite. There is also a secret menu you will learn about if you go often. The best part is if you request something they will make every effort to accommodate . Great salads too! The owner is always there. Very charismatic. Flirty bird with homemade melted award winning pimento cheese is a delight. Closed weekends. Open M-F 11-2:30 Dinner on Thurs & Fri 5:30-8:30 read more

The restaurant was filthy dirty. The bar towels were also visibly dirty. There was grease caked on the grill, hood and the other stainless equipment behind the counter. read more

Not just a fusion of cuisines but also if restaurant categories. Burger joint meets soul food kitchen meets Mediterranean/Caribbean cafe meets ... soup! And it's all awesome. Navigating the unusual hours is worth it. We said we were interested in the soups, having heat they were great, and almost automatically our server brought our table samples of four different types. All were very good! The burgers were great and we can hardly wait to try more of the widely varied menu. read more

This place needs to be on Triple D. Amazing the quality of the food produced at such a nondescript little place by the train tracks in a small Southern town. Try the Moroccan style anything. Do not forget world class onion rings. read more

Kickers Takeout - Moroccan style grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings - Fast Food Near Me - Greenwood, South Carolina

Food was fantastic! Great service and cozy atmosphere. Had an excellent experience there and will visit again

Super place. The menu is so interesting and diverse that it's difficult to choose one thing from another. Our solution will be to go often and try something different each visit. The place is eclectic, the staff friendly and competent, and parking is plentiful. I can't recommend it highly enough - it's great. read more

Good food good customer service nice place to stop in if you're near the square in Greenwood

An Anthony Bourdain type of place. An unassuming place from the outside, inside is a melting pot of cultures, flavors, and good people. Abdel the owner, and the wait staff make you feel welcome and not rushed. The place is cozy, and is typically busy...and that's for a good reason. They do a lot of carry-out as an alternative option. Literally everything on the menu is unique, and ask about the off-menu items. Enjoy the experience. read more

Really good food. Little busy and noisy but worth the wait. Order ahead! I had a mediterranean wrap. very good. Frys were crinkle and little cold. Not a fan. read more

Not all that impressive. Was doing volunteer work down the road, broke for lunch and tried this place. Stood in line most of my lunch waiting and then got what looked like cafeteria food. And the fries are crinkle cut. Some people like that but I'm not a fan. read more

The Cheese Fingers are a must have! Every time I've been the food hasn't disappointed. They're usually busy but for good reason so be patient with the service. If you like the Mom and Pop vibe this is the place to go! read more

This place is the very definition of a "hole in the wall", and while it may be on the small side seating-wise, I guarantee you it's one of the best places to dine in Greenwood! The food is always fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Kickers is hands-down one of the best restaurants in the area. My personal favorite is the Cuban sandwich. It's the perfect balance of flavor and made with love! Kickers receives my highest recommendation. read more

This place exceeded my expectations significantly. Humble looking building and lot, but don't let that fool you. I had the Honey-soy broiled salmon on top of vegetables and the African vegan soup. The food was absolutely delicious. I will go out of my way to eat here again. I would happily pay $5 more than what was charged. Great value, great food. read more

I have wanted to eat here for awhile,,but it is small and always busy so I kept passing. BIG mistake passing,,I ate here yesterday with my wife and I just had to come back again today. Yesterday I had the fried sampler plate and my wife had the Kickers Philly steak,,we split the two to share. It was really, really good. We were given sample, of the Spicy chicken gumbo and a Thai chicken noodle soups,,,,with that said yes I had to come back today, I got the chicken 6 pepper sandwich "I think I'm saying it wrong or backwards" and a cup of Spicy chicken gumbo,,,it was really great, the staff and owner are as good as they get with their service and attitude. I really wish I hadn't been passing on this place it truly is going to be my new best place to eat period. The place is small but it still seats about 30 people so don't be like me and pass it by. Well that's my 2 cents,,,trust me you have to try this place. read more

After six years living in small-town, SC, I've pretty well given up finding any truly great place to eat. Kickers just renewed my hope! Small and crowded with a crew (servers and cooks) that clearly cares about each diners experience, before we even ordered, I knew we were in the right place. Our server offered us samples of soup, helped us navigate the menu and even suggested a customization we never would have thought of. Soup samples were amazing. The burger I ordered was okay. The other orders at our table looked good and seemed to please the 10-12 yr old palates they were served to. We had a bit of a wait and patrons that came in after us waited a bit more. The servers, who also hosted and bussed the tables were very alert and eager to get people seated but didn't rush anyone that was already sitting. The staff clearly know their regulars, greeted them by name and asked about family, jobs, etc. By the time we were ready to leave I felt like we we're regulars. Our did take a little while to sit down and a little longer to get food than might be expected, but it was not an uncomfortable wait and it was well worth it. I will be back for more. read more

This place is a little gem in Greenwood. It's a great experience. You pick where you want to sit and then a nice waitress comes along to take your drink orders. She comes back with drinks and a soup sampler tray. You get to try these soups free of charge to possibly pick which one you might want for the day. The soups are DELICIOUS. The food in general is delicious. If you sit at the bar, you can watch the chef cook for you and watch your food being prepped from start to finish. The space is a bit small, it gets really crammed packed during lunch time, and you will most likely leave smelling like grease and food.....but it's totally worth the wait and try. I highly recommend this small hole in the wall diner to everyone who visits Greenwood. read more

Opened Yelp. Did a request for top restaurants in Greenwood - boom Kickers is at the top - That's where I was eating for lunch - simple as that. Arrived - place was packed. This is going to be good - I thought to myself. I sat at the bar and was immediately asked what I wanted to drink and was also given a sampler of the four soups they were serving on that day. They were delicious - especially the Thai chicken one. It took a little while for the food to come but they were super busy so I forgave them for that. I had ordered the kickers burger. Which is a burger with mozzarella and mushrooms on it. It was worth the wait the burger was perfectly cooked and super nice. Everything looks like it is made on premise as well. It was a lovely plate of food all cooked in front of me. NOTE: The food and service was excellent my only thing with this is from the Yelp side of things. It says the food is affordable i.e. single digit dollars. Well most entrees are 9 dollars and some change so after you have your entree, drink and a tip you are talking nearly 20 bucks for lunch which is what it is - it is not a fast food restaurant but its good to know that before you get there. I would definitely go back and in fact I am looking forward to it :) read more

Amazing lunch place! The menu has a lot of unexpected choices so I'm coming back every time I'm in Greenwood. It's small. We've driven by many times and not really noticed it. But I'm telling you - take notice! I had the Philly Steak and onion rings. Tender and well made. My son had their most popular pimento cheese burger. Delicious. My wife had a Greek wrap and she said it was the best she's ever had. She's a great cook so that counts for a lot. The best part of our experience was sitting at the bar, which was literally the edge of the kitchen, and watching everything cooked in front of us. The head cook was crushing it while orders were called out in rapid fire. He took a moment to whirl around and ask us how everything was. Fun to watch and all so tasty! read more

Kickers is BY FAR my favorite restaurant in Greenwood. It is packed with flavor and personality and always gives me something delicious. The soups are to die for and Sunday soul-in-a-bowl is a creative twist on a meat and three. Try the spicy chicken gumbo and the sundance burger--my family's faves! The wait staff is also incredible. I tend to get the same thing when I come, and they always remember my order to a tea! Get here before the lunch and dinner rushes to get a seat, but if you get sat at the bar it'll be fun to watch the cooks do their thing! Always a win! read more

Love family chef-owned independent businesses. Fries are real potatoes, yum! (Why more places don't do this I'll never know, potatoes are easy.) Generous portions, great food, good seasoning. Definitely will eat there again when back in the area. Staff all friendly. Owner-chef was on and working the line, doing a great job. Stop in!! read more

Eclectic soups of the day, sandwiches, burgers, turkey burgers, & salads. Today's soups included Thai chicken noodle, black bean tortilla (pictured), potato beer, spicy chicken gumbo, sweet potato clam. Chicken Parmesan sandwich pictured without mayo, lettuce, & tomato. The marinara type sauce is under the cheese just hiding. :) signs indicate they try to use local produce when they can. I do wish they didn't use as much styrofoam, but I know costs can be high. In high traffic times be sure to allow time to be seated ( I only counted 39 seats in this small, but cute restaurant), and have your meal prepared by the 2 or 3 people on the open air grill. Our food came quickly, but I'm sure it wouldn't take long to overwhelm such a small place. read more

Awesome spot! Worth the drive from Charlotte to greenwood all by itself. I come here every time I need to come in town for work. Great soups and every main dish I've had has blown me away. Mozzarella sticks are the best I've ever had. They are huge! I got the kickers philly the first time with fries and it was more than enough ribeye steak and the flavors were amazing. This last time I got an off menu item. I can't remember what it's called but it's a burger seasoned , pineapple, pickle, cheese and ketchup then wrapped in a flour tortilla and fried. I could only eat half but ate the second half 5 hours later and cold! Still Amazing! I ordered the onion rings as my side and they were also fantastic. I enjoyed watching them dip, bread and fry the rings and sticks in front of me. Great spot. Get there early! read more

I was in the Navy for 29 years and have eaten excellent food all over the world. One of my favorite places in this big world, with consistently delicious, innovative food, is Kickers in Greenwood, SC. The staff is awesome: Friendly, genuine, and passionate about the wonderful food they prepare and serve. Abdel and Andrea (Andi) Dimiati get to know their customers and welcome everyone in to their wonderful establishment with honest, warm Southern hospitality. Been here now twice and both times the food has been amazing. I am giving it 4 stars because of the wait. We got there at 11:30 and ordered in about 5-10 mins of that. Didn't get the food till 12:30. But again the food is awesome. Way worth the wait. read more

Totally delicious food . Love the tuna salad sandwich and chicken salad . Very friendly and great service . Good prices too

Boy this place is really good. Wait staff is very knowledgeable about each entree. You get small soup samplers when you sit down which is cool and the soups are wonderful. The place is small so it can get crowded pretty quick but it is worth the wait if you need to. It's is not a cheap place but not expensive either but you get quality meals that are out of this world good. read more

This place has potential to be so much better. Over cooked meat, rotten salad greens, and never being able to correctly complete an order. Keeps this restaurant on the bottom. Consistency is the life of a restaurant. Kickers cant even put their entree together the way it's on the menu. This is your restaurant if your fine with getting something over Cooked and a total suprise by what you get. I have never given a 1 star, but Kickers has definitely deserved it read more

Outstanding...soups are amazing. Pimiento Cheese Burger today. One of he best burgers I've ever had. Not to mention the fresh breaded in front of my face onion rings. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff read more

Soups are incredible, I ate lunch here for twenty straight weeks. Super burgers, not a bad meal on the menu. I love the Thai chicken salad and the Indian specials. Eat at the bar if you are alone just don't expect any alcohol- only drawback. read more

These guys must be doing everything right, because it's standing room only at lunchtime! I got one of the daily specials. Can't remember the name, but it was some kind of bird name... it was a hot grilled chicken sandwich with pimento cheese. Sounds odd, but it was really delicious, with a spicy kick. My pal got a burger and he ate every bite! We shared their killer onion rings. Walked out the door happily stuffed to the gills. For lunch, it was a little pricey, but worth every cent! A new favorite, for sure! read more
