Food was very good. Service was very good. Very reasonable prices! Probably the least expensive meal out for me in a long time!

I am no longer going to figure out if one really good burger is better than another really good burger. There are lots of really good burgers. So then I have to look at accompaniments, service, etc. The burger here, based on the above, as good as any burger given the basic ingredients included. Really the only thing that keeps this place from being stellar is the lack of milkshakes. Fries needed salt, but of course that's easily remedied. Nice, clean, cheery interior. You do have to go around to back of restaurant to wash hands, etc. read more

Have eaten here dozens of times, always excellent. Cheeseburgers, and all hamburgers re always cooked perfect, along with fries, always fresh , hot, and delicious. I have had the ribeye and baked loaded potato, salad for dinner, it was perfectly cooked med. rare and absolutely delicious. Have had the BLT , stacked with bacon Homemade and excellent. It's our go to when we just want a great burger! Perfectly cooked to order, juicy, great flavor. Fantastic milkshakes and fries, especially sweet potato fries. Can't speak for the rest of the menu because we always get burgers. Dine in accommodations are limited and far from plush. But we go for the food, not the atmosphere. read more

The place has stood the test of time. The new owners have improved the place in plenty of ways. The food is better that ever and you have options other than an cheeseburger plate. Salads, hamburger steak, baked potatoes, fish and shrimp and so on. Now if its early in the morning and you want a real breakfast like Granny made, this is the place. Grits and eggs kinda breakfast with red links or bacon or sausage. The food, prices, and the crew are all really good. read more

This dive had one of the best burgers I have had! I know that's I big complement but their meat was fresh and generous given the prices. The fries were ordinary frozen crinkle cut and the tots weren't that much better but the cheese burgers gave credence to the name of the place. Stop here after visiting the National Historic site which replicates the actual site of a revolutionary war battle - the best I have visited. read more

I have to agree with others about the place being a "hole in the wall" but sometimes those are your best places! Not much to look at and it's like a step back in time but the wife had a chili cheeseburger and I had the regular cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato, both were very good!! It's a no frills joint. I was in the area for work and didn't want to do a fast food chain restaurant. Saw the positive yelp reviews and took a chance. I'm very glad I did. Owner(Tina) and her Dad have had this restaurant for 40 years. Tina was so nice and the double cheeseburger was even better. The meat was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Very juicy. I'm a chili and cheese kinda gal when it comes to burgers, but when I go to the Cheeseburger House I get the classic with lettuce and tomato. The burgers are cooked perfectly and the fries are fresh. The staff isn't all that great, and the place looks like a dive (even after some recent 'freshening up'), but you can't beat it when you're looking for classic comfort food like burgers and hot dogs.
