Excellent food and service. Second visit and same great experience. Servings are more than generous. I'll be back

Great huge cheeseburgers at a great price, and oh so tasty. The service is fast and friendly. I love this place.

Food was very good. Service was very good. Very reasonable prices! Probably the least expensive meal out for me in a long time!

Expanded menu and now serving breakfast all day. Same good food as always. Hunters omelette and cheese grits is on point read more

I am no longer going to figure out if one really good burger is better than another really good burger. There are lots of really good burgers. So then I have to look at accompaniments, service, etc. The burger here, based on the above, as good as any burger given the basic ingredients included. Really the only thing that keeps this place from being stellar is the lack of milkshakes. Fries needed salt, but of course that's easily remedied. Nice, clean, cheery interior. You do have to go around to back of restaurant to wash hands, etc. read more

Have eaten here dozens of times, always excellent. Cheeseburgers, and all hamburgers re always cooked perfect, along with fries, always fresh , hot, and delicious. I have had the ribeye and baked loaded potato, salad for dinner, it was perfectly cooked med. rare and absolutely delicious. Have had the BLT , stacked with bacon Homemade and excellent. Shakes are killer, always. Can not miss this jewel . Always quality, always great deal for price, always consistently great. read more

It's our go to when we just want a great burger! Perfectly cooked to order, juicy, great flavor. Fantastic milkshakes and fries, especially sweet potato fries. Can't speak for the rest of the menu because we always get burgers. Dine in accommodations are limited and far from plush. But we go for the food, not the atmosphere. read more

Love the cheeseburgers and onion rings. Hate closing at 4 when you get off at 4 means no burgers

A young man in the prep area was digging in his afro and then picking something from his nails. I gave them the food back and told them to keep the money. I won't go back. I also told the owner. NASTY! read more

They have the best Ranch Dressing ever!! I order it by the cup for my salad, cheeseburgers and baked potatoes!! Unfortunately I'm unable to drive or barely walk so, I order my Johnny's Cheeseburger House from DoorDash!! Try it.. you will have No Regrets!!!! read more

A really good real cheeseburger- good hamburger meat! Food is not prepared until you order. Comfortable atmosphere and very nice people!

Great service and great burgers. I have been eating here since I was a kid. Good homemade burgers. Highly recommend.

My hamburgers were not cooked fully and were unedible as well as greasy overall this place should not be serving food I have eaten better food from McDonald's!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

The place has stood the test of time. The new owners have improved the place in plenty of ways. The food is better that ever and you have options other than an cheeseburger plate. Salads, hamburger steak, baked potatoes, fish and shrimp and so on. Now if its early in the morning and you want a real breakfast like Granny made, this is the place. Grits and eggs kinda breakfast with red links or bacon or sausage. The food, prices, and the crew are all really good. read more

Great good. Friendly service. Fresh ingredients. Easy location. Heard good things, glad we tried it out.

Cheeseburger House - a menu on the wall - Burgers Near Me - Ninety Six, South Carolina

Especially Tyler very accommodating friendly and efficient he Flounder Meal right on time Thanks Tyler

This dive had one of the best burgers I have had! I know that's I big complement but their meat was fresh and generous given the prices. The fries were ordinary frozen crinkle cut and the tots weren't that much better but the cheese burgers gave credence to the name of the place. Stop here after visiting the National Historic site which replicates the actual site of a revolutionary war battle - the best I have visited. read more

Very slow service. Decent food. Good burger. Typical hole-in-the wall joint. No bathrooms read more

Cheeseburger House - a man sitting at a table with two plates of food - Burgers Near Me - Ninety Six, South Carolina

We travel to 96 for a baseball game and support local Business. Anticipated a good burger and got turned away 10 minutes before closing. Several patrons eating with full plates. Sign said open, lost business on a family of four and possibly forever. Sad day in 96.....Sad business read more

Worst hamburger steak ever! Awful taste and burned. Nothing but burnt grease! Will never return!

Traveling can be stressful, and it can be overwhelming to try new places when you're far from home. Let the staff at Johnny's Cheeseburger House take your worries away! A perfectly cooked burger, crispy tots, and a refreshing cup of sweet tea. You won't find a better burger place than this! read more

REALLY amazing food served on styrofoam plates! NOT fancy at all, and if you're afraid of "dirty dining" type places you should pass. But if you're open minded and don't mind waiting on southern service (slow and steady wins the race!), drop in for some yummy goodness! Burgers, onion rings, fried pickles and baked potato with butter and ranch dressing!?!? Who knew? I'm new to that, but now I'm a fan! Top it all off with amazingly perfect sweet tea..... Absolutely! read more

I have to agree with others about the place being a "hole in the wall" but sometimes those are your best places! Not much to look at and it's like a step back in time but the wife had a chili cheeseburger and I had the regular cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato, both were very good!! It's a no frills joint. This was my first time eating there but will return if in the area. read more

Slow, sloow, sloooow service, ~ good, goood, gooood fresh meat cheeseburger. One order cooked 'n served at a time. Semi-clean diner. / Good experience but truly doubt if we will return. read more

Found out about this place while at my daughters volleyball game back in the fall.... Finally back up this way for a baseball game and I can't wait to go back! The best cheeseburger around !!! read more

The service was terrible and the place was dirty on top of that they charged for refills when we changed to a different drink because their sweet tea was terrible. I won't go back to this place again. It's only redeeming quality was that the burger was OK. read more

We had a very good jalapeño cheeseburger and chili dogs! Very friendly off the beaten path burger joint. Will return to try their fried seafood before very long. read more

I was in the area for work and didn't want to do a fast food chain restaurant. Saw the positive yelp reviews and took a chance. I'm very glad I did. Owner(Tina) and her Dad have had this restaurant for 40 years. Tina was so nice and the double cheeseburger was even better. The meat was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Very juicy. I'll be back when I'm in the area again. read more

Cheeseburger House - a hamburger with lettuce and tomato - Burgers Near Me - Ninety Six, South Carolina

Loved the food and the staff was very friendly. The only down side is it is not real handicap accessible

I'm a chili and cheese kinda gal when it comes to burgers, but when I go to the Cheeseburger House I get the classic with lettuce and tomato. The burgers are cooked perfectly and the fries are fresh. The staff isn't all that great, and the place looks like a dive (even after some recent 'freshening up'), but you can't beat it when you're looking for classic comfort food like burgers and hot dogs. Their sweet tea is perfect, too. read more

The food was very good. Hand made cheeseburger. Wifey had the Pimento cheeseburger. Loved it. Not a fancy place, but good food. No bathroom! (Odd). read more

Very good homemade hamburgers served with kindness and gratitude. Hubby's onion rings were fresh. Will be back.

Large, tender, juicy burgers. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for a good burger.
