Shopping Appliances with a breeze. Location is not hard to find and they have a small private parking area. Walked into Howard's and was looking for a fridge. It was nice, relaxed environment where the reps acknowledge you but are not in your face wanting to make a sale. Got to look around and find one I liked, however, I was told that model was backordered until 2-3 months. I couldn't wait that long so Anthony walked me around and checked the computer to find one that is available and fitted my space. We did found one and got it delivered as expected. My boyfriend and I are extremely happy with are Frigidaire refrigerator. We have been looking for a fridge for over a week and I had my mind set on a whirlpool or GE. With the requirement of the DIMS on what would fit in our house limited me on what I could get. I was set on what I wanted until I walked into Howard's and Anthony Ebert helped look for what I wanted. I was torn between two fridges and it turn out the Frigidaire one I wanted was on back order I was so disappointed. There was another one that was next to the one I wanted just as good but a higher end and out of my price range. Anthony was so helpful and was able to work out the price for me to be able to get it. I will never make another purchase at any Howard's Appliance store. Their extended warranty is absolutely worthless. I purchased a Maytag Washer and also purchased the "EPIC" 5 year Extended Warranty in October 2022. Now more than 2 years later, the washer has been repaired at least 8 times and it still doesn't work. From the main board to the electrical panel to the internal mechanisms, the same parts have been replaced multiple times. By now, I could have built another 3 washing machines! The faulty parts, (some are very expensive parts) have been replaced multiple times and literally on the same night we try to wash clothes and it doesn't work. Sometimes the washer will start to agitate without any water in the tub, which tears up our clothing! Other times the washer tub fills with water and then it does not agitate at all... I have recorded many videos showing the malfunction of the machine. The repair technicians have told me the machine is not repairable but the warranty company, EPIC, and Whirlpool refuse to declare the machine a "LEMON". In the meantime we have to find a way to wash daily laundry for a family of 5. After being overly patient with this issue, I started asking for a supervisor at EPIC. Finally today a supervisor from EPIC, named "Jay", returned my call and they still refused to declare the machine unrepairable. He submitted another work order for another repair. Does this mean I have to wait 5 years before they will declare the washer unrepairable and by then is EPIC going to tell me that my extended warranty has expired! I purchased this Maytag washer while at Howard's in Covina. The sales representative named DeAnn helped us make the purchase online. The problem is after we made the purchase the store refuses to help us in anyway with these issues. Recently, I went in person to the Covina store, on February 21, and spoke to the manager named Edward Grimaldi and he did not help us in any way whatsoever. They refer us to Edward Padilla in online services and you cannot get through to anybody there for help. I left Edward Padilla 2 voicemail messages and I also sent him a lengthy email and he has not responded to me either. I tried getting a hold of someone at the Howard's Corporate Office in City of Industry, but you cannot get through to a live person at any of those lines either. Next time I will do my shopping at Best Buy or Pacific Sales. It was a huge mistake walking into the Howard's Covina store. I will be seeking legal options. UDATE 3/5/2025: For the record, after my Yelp Review, I received an immediate "Automated Robot" response via Yelp from the "business customer service center" and it gave me a direct phone number, I called the direct phone number and it went to voicemail... Also don't believe the sales pitch from the manager named Anthony E. at Howard's Appliance in Covina, it is completely false. UPDATE 3/5/2025: Lea returned my call within 20 minutes of leaving my voicemail. I will update the status of this matter as results become available. read more

We were recently went out to Howard's in Covina. Our GE dishwasher had stopped working and need to replace with a new one. Stephen Padilla was the gentleman who helped us. Knowledgeable, friendly and kind (mom is 85). Showed her around the showroom, asked what she needed and proceeded to point out various models. She choose a Kitchen Aid dishwasher stainless steel inside and out. 3 days later the dishwasher was delivered and installed. Roman and Johnny were efficient, friendly and most of all on time! Our washer broke down after only 3 years of use. We usually go to other big box stores for our appliances but decided to give Howard's a try this time. Deanne, our sales rep, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She explained the pros and cons of some of the machines we were considering. We believe she made our purchase decision very easy. We also purchased the extended warranty plan which I believe is much more affordable than plans we have purchased in the past. Hoping we don't need to use the extended warranty. I would definitely recommend you give Howard's a try. You may end up getting a great deal as well. read more

The worst. Very nice while purchasing, not so nice when following up on a promotional item purchased. I made two purchases, one returned because the item didn't fit. I called about the other item I purchased(its rebate) and the salesperson is quick to tell me I'm not eligible while looking at the wrong item. Once corrected they're still letting me know they've never heard of a promotion without any attempt to investigate. I didn't make it up. read more

I purchased a whirlpool side-by-side counter-depth refrigerator at Howard's in July of 2021. The sales rep who assisted me was very friendly and helpful. However, my fridge arrived with a defective ice-making part and it was barely cool. Initially, I thought it would take 48 hours for the fridge to be cool enough and be able to make the first batch of ice, but it just wasn't the case. It wouldn't make ice or dispense water and the temperature on the upper shelves was not even cool regardless of how low the temperature we set it. I contacted their store within 5 days of delivery to try to get it replaced/ fixed. They wouldn't replace it with another one even though the timeline was still within their store policy and it arrived defective on the first day of delivery. I reached out to them back and forth but they were not able to help. The store manager and sales rep were friendly at least (e.g. they tried to give me directions to fix it over the phone/ direct me to the Whirlpool website for assistance/ told me that they could apply for a temp fridge and kept me posted on this issue.). Guess what? It's been well over a YEAR and they never got back to me or sent me updates (no phone calls or emails). In the end, I reached out to Whirlpool and got it fixed (the technician later confirmed that our brand-new fridge came with defective parts that needed to be replaced). The whole experience was rather unpleasant. The fridge itself is beautiful but I was very disappointed with this purchase as I felt like I paid full price for a refurbished fridge even if the problems were eventually fixed. I won't be returning to this store for other appliances in the future. read more

Upon walking into Howard's I was greeted by Gilbert. He was friendly and welcoming. I was in search for a new refrigerator and Gilbert went above and beyond to help me. I ask a lot of questions and he never once made me feel like I was a bother. He took his time, answered and explained everything I needed to know when comparing refrigerators I was interested in. What made Gilbert a 5 star associate was not only his knowledge in the products carried in the store but the fact that not once did he pressure me to purchase anything. He was patient, understanding and super helpful!!! I don't get service like this at Lowe's or Home Depot. Howard's give very individualized attention and service to their customers. One of the simplest experiences of a large purchase I've had. I was shopping for a washer and dryer, Armando answered all my questions, made recommendations and did price match checks even though they had best price. The financing is great 0% for 18 months. No hassle, no pushing/selling. My washer and dryer were delivered next day and set up in 15 min. The drivers called ahead, arrived a little bit early and were very efficient. We purchased a side-by-side Whirlpool from this store and have had nothing but problems with it. After going back and forth with their store manager, Anthony, NOTHING has been resolved. He continues to robotically repeat store policies to me, as if I don't already know about their ridiculous 7-day return policy. It took over a week for the ice maker to make any ice, as well as cold water. I have gone back and forth with Whirlpool and Howard's on this issue. Anthony keeps suggesting service on the refrigerator, but the problems go way beyond that and we are overall unhappy with the refrigerator (not enough room due to the bulky lights on the shelves, etc.). Anthony kept mentioning a restocking fee, since they supposedly cannot re-sell it (when I know these places donate stuff like this all the time and get a huge write-off). I wish I looked at the yelp reviews on this store and about the store manager, Anthony, before buying anything from them, since it sounds like people have had the same issue with him sitting on his hands! How do people like this keep their job? I am so pissed and disappointed, that I have contacted corporate to try and resolve this issue. read more

After a few days I was experiencing an error message, I spoke with Edward and explained that I needed the washer as my daughter was expecting and was coming to visit.
