First of all, Thank You Air Nerds for fixing my furnace ignitor. The tech, Brian was friendly and…read moreresolved my issue. However, I truly believe that the charge for the fix was a bit overpriced to replace a $20 part (Found it online). I was charged a total of $450 to replace the ignitor. They first charged me $125 to diagnose the problem (I did tell them prior that I thought it was the ignitor). Brian then said that he would be back later with the ignitor. This is where I made my mistake, I should have asked him the cost to replace it (Or better yet, it would have been nice for Air Nerds to tell me!). This way if I thought it was too high, I could either replace it myself (I replaced it once before but forgot where it was located) or call around for estimates. I do have a heat pump and this was keeping the house warm enough, this was for the gas backup heat. So, Air Nerds did the job but I think $450 was a bit steep for a simple fix. I did search online and it said that this type of fix usually cost between $150 to $350 professionally, including parts ($20-$100) and labor ($75-$150). Anyway, I hope this review helps you decide whether Air Nerds is the way to go! One more note, they did arrive a half hour late! They first asked me if 8am or 9am would work, I told them 8am. After about 20 minutes, I emailed them and they apologized and said that someone was on their way.

They cold-called to see if I wanted a furnace check for $99. I said yes. They came by on December…read more9, looked at my heat pump that was about a month old, said it was so new, they did not need to check the system and they left. When it got very cold around the first of the year, my furnace ran a lot, and the thermostat kept giving me messages that the auxiliary heat was running over 8 hours. After a couple of weeks of this message, I called Woodfin to come take a look. They found a leak in the coolant line in the heat pump, which I'm pretty sure was there when Eveready came by and did not check the system, but charged me $99 anyway. I agree with other reviews that indicate the customer service is beyond bad. Don't expect accurate service from this company. When they make an error, they do not own it, and are snarky when they tell you why it couldn't possibly be their fault.

Deceptive Practices and Hidden Charges -- Proceed with Extreme Caution…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with this company has been deeply frustrating and financially damaging. Despite never signing a formal agreement, I was somehow bound to a contract I never saw--let alone approved. They claimed I "electronically signed" something, yet provided no clear documentation or consent trail to support it. What followed was a barrage of unexpected charges, nearly double what was initially discussed. Costs were buried in fine print or added retroactively, with no transparency or accountability. Attempts to resolve the issue were met with evasiveness and vague explanations. This company preys on trust and ambiguity. I strongly urge others: **do not sign up for anything**, and do not share personal or payment information until you've reviewed every detail in writing. Their business model seems built on confusion and exploitation. Protect yourself--look elsewhere.
