This is a big and beautiful convenient library with lovely staff and a safe and quiet ambiance…read more First and foremost, I want to thank the ladies inside at the information and help desk who were so kind, silent and solid, patient and had a great sense of humor. They assisted me with getting my official library card and went the extra mile in getting me a Cantonese language guide that was not on the shelf or checked out. It took them just 4 minutes to go in the bank and locate it. The library is clean and has a lot of sunlight coming in. They have a good variety of books. The patrons at this location seemed respectful and followed the rules. Loved the little Friends of the Library bookstore to the left upon entry that sells vinyls, DVDs and books to support the library. Love the indoor and outdoor parking. Love that the Starbucks is within walking distance as are some lovely restaurants and stores in Victoria Gardens. Loved this Library!!!!!

There's also a DVD section to check out disc and there are also private study rooms. I believe I saw like 3 or 4 rooms. I thought the rooms were pretty cool, since the library isn't always as quiet as you'd like it to be. Getting a card is pretty simple....just present proof of residency in the city and you'll have a card.

What a gem! This historic and architecturally stunning library is a must-visit for anyone who…read moreappreciates beautiful details and community spaces. From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by gorgeous stained glass windows and thoughtful touches everywhere you look. There are several inviting reading and learning rooms, plus a dedicated children's section that's perfect for little ones. Outside, there's a small but lovely garden with plenty of seating; ideal for enjoying a book on a nice day. I especially loved discovering the board where anyone can post a book review. It's a great way to engage with fellow readers and get new recommendations. My husband and I make it a point to support local businesses and community resources when we travel; signing up for a library card and following their event calendar is one way we connect with each new place. This library is truly a treasure, and we highly recommend stopping by whether you're a resident or just passing through!

My fiancé loved how busy the library and gardens were just at 10am opening time, seats filled, people typing away with their morning coffee planning their day out. I saw how the library assisted people from all words of ages and backgrounds, especially children and I look forward to bringing my family to this library. This would be my home library.

There's tons of different activities and space to study. I love this library and I'm glad I stumbled upon it if you're around the area, I would definitely check it out. There is also a coffee shop located right outside the building.

The library is fine. There are some times where there are people walking around the parking area,…read morelibrary and park next door make you feel less than safe, but as long as you stay alert you will be fine. Most of the staff is nice, one of the female supervisors is so rude, but I saw her mostly over the summer during the children's program events. There are a few other staff members that are super kind and helpful. Two actually worked at the prize hand out for the summer reading program. Those programs are two of the shining stars of the library. The summer childrens program events are great and so is the summer reading program. There are also several reading programs throughout the year. And lastly on the pro list is the Animaker space. The one con with that is when they have the program later in the day during the fall and winter, it is not ideal because you get out after dark and it is a little sketch in the parking area. The biggest annoyance though is the electronic book return. DO NOT USE IT! I knew one of my son's books was due soon, but we do not belive near the library, so I put it in my car so I would have it if any of my errands put me near the library. I ended up having to pick up the finished Animaker project my kiddos made so I stopped by and dropped off the book in the electronic return. It had given me issues in the past and I had started to take pictures of the return list that populated on the screen, but I was in a rush and didn't think of it this time. I left and didn't think twice. About a week later something reminded me of the book and I decided to check my son's account to make sure it was checked in correctly and of course it was still on his account. I called the library and they put a note on the account and renewed the book. They have a process to double check all possible areas. The only issue with that is that the book had been transferred from another SBC library when we requested it so it would not be put back on the shelf at the Fontana library. I ended up having to call the other library and they had to check their shelves and it was not there. I waited another week and called again. The Fontana library staff member sounded like she saw a helpful note on the account but then changed her tone and went back to the same speech about the procedure they have to check for lost books. I resigned myself to waiting for a notice of a fine for the missing book. A few weeks passed but there wasn't a fine and the book was still on my account. This was about 2 1/2months ago at this point and I just checked the account again last week and the book was no longer on the check out list and there was not a fine. I called just to double check and the staff member said he can't see anything on the account, no fine or notes or missing book. So I guess after all that time they finally found the book and checked it in. It was so frustrating bc it was literally the only book I turned in that day, I was able to give them the time and date and they couldnt do anything. I had to wait more than 2 months for a resolution bc their electronic book return doesn't work properly. When I I initially mentioned the issues, I was told that the electronic book return messes up sometimes.
