Well it's flu season and wouldn't you know it, the youngest had a fever all day over the weekend. This was the closest urgent care location to the boys doctor so I gave them a try. I was greeted nicely. I came in at about 4am and taken back almost immediately. Now my little one was not cooperative. He didn't want to get on the scale. He didn't want to lay in the bed. It all worked out thanks to the wonderful RN's on staff! They were patient, gentle, and kind and friendly. Unfortunately he snagged that doggone fluB and was miserable for the rest of the week. But we made it through! The Sun has shined again on us. Just an FYI you have United Healthcare insurance they will not be taking your insurance after the 31st of DECEMBER 2019.

THIS HUGE GASH WENT UNNOTICED AND UNTREATED BY THE MEDICAL STAFF AT THIS EMERGENCY CENTER.

Mother was brought in after a fall. She suffers from dementia so she is not able to advocate for herself. She was seen for lacerations and observation for a concussion. During the exam no one noticed this gash in the crease of her lip. My sister noticed the gash the next day. Sister called to voice concern of the gash they asked said to bring Momma in. I took her into the center and waited for hour plus for the doctor to tell me that they would not do anything to address the issue because it was past 12 hours. Why would you waste our time and take my mother through the changes? The only thing the doctor did was give us a prescription for an anti-biotic. He could have done that over the phone.

I Give 2 stars only for the Women Doctor I had on my first visit! My god , only if you knew your service was amazing. I wish I could remember your name but sadly, I don't . Hopefully you remember by reading this if you do I would love this to be heard ! I went here to this place in heartbreaking pain, I couldn't really describe! I have a Certain skin disease to where I get Example of the picture below, Sorry for the gruesome image . By my name is Kendrick Woodrow I came in here , and received the best care I could of received in my opinion she took her time and explained everything with me , she was patient and also very nice to me my god . I loved the experience and wanted to go back if I had a problem again . Sadly I did one day , the problem came back quicker than expectations and I had to . My friend took me I both times and he agrees , guy Dr I that took care of me the second time My god it was like the scariest day ever with a doctor! Just rude not emotions , he could careless about the shape I was in or how I felt , he was rushing me and telling me that he was busy and had too many patients while having a needle in my arm and my screaming saying please , to give me a second he then proceeded to my arm with the blade , not trying to sound dramatic or anything bc if you know me I'm not at all , the guy showed no remorse in my pain I was furious at this point ,he then began to press up on me like to kinda hold me still , I'm still screaming so gently hold my arm out against him telling him that he was hurting me and he didn't care he told me this I had to be this don't or I'd be in pain either way . Once I pushed my arm out he told me the I was going to hurt him and that strong I was going to hurt the both of us ! I then explained to the Doctor which I don't think he like but had to be said that , I've been to this location once before and the Women Dr , did not do it this way nor did she hurt me even if she didn't care she Dam sure acted liked it and i felt it after she put the numbing cream on the BOIL she SIMPLY GAVE ME ABOUT 3-5 mins and then came back and asked me how did it feel before she tried to cut me open !! This is a situation I don't ever really go to the doctor for I just go through the terrible pain at home when I can but I took a chance and this guy has scared me Soo bad ! I'm also in pain as in type this out every time I get one of theses boils I think of the pain and Terrible feeling and experience that guy left me with ! Sad to say I do t feel safe to go again !

It's overcrowded and long wait times!!! I opt for this option and at the time of admission NO Wait and NO line. I was surprised and kept telling the ER nurse and she said don't jinx us! About 3 hours later the lobby was full of patients waiting and every ER room was full. Applauding the ER staff for their attentiveness and prompt care. Hospitals claim that all systems can pull up history from different hospitals but it seems confusing because only the doctors are able to get this done?!! Fairly new building from the outside. Super freezing in the ER. Bring a coat!

The second time was 8.28.26 from 8pm-2am. On the average that seems like a normal amount of time for an emergency room. They were quick to take my vitals and put me in a room to wait. The chairs were the most uncomfortable chairs ever made. When it was time to hook up and IV we were sent to chairs in the hallway; where we stayed the rest off of the time on the first visit. (These chairs were much better!-Thank goodness!) The nurses were nice and helpful. To be honest I don't know the name of a single doctor or nurse that came to see me. No one introduced themselves to me. The level of care I received was fine. Not great and not bad on my first visit. The second visit the doctor came and talked to me. She did not even examine me. She asked questions and left. I am praying I don't have to go to ANY ER any time soon.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PANDEMIC…read more If I could give -5 stars I would. I was sent by my primary care physician after hours and the doc on call did not want to do the procedure she called ahead for me on. He gave every excuse as to why I shouldn't- seems like if someone is sent by their doctor- you do the procedure. They went for a dang reason. It's been a week and I am still sick. Covid seems to have brought the worst out of people and this guy is definitely 1. New management doesn't seem to have made a difference. He was smiling when I left. He was either lazy or evil. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Worst doc I have ever had the unfortunate displeasure to experience. And that is saying A LOT.

After completing the initial paperwork, Bill took us back to an exam room. We discussed my issue and the proceeded to have my blood pressure and temperature taken. Bill walked me through the process with expertise and kindness. It was determined I needed a cat scan so Cathy took over and walked me through the process with ease and whimsy. We were there for awhile because I needed several tests to try to figure out what was causing my pain but that's to be expected and was not an issue. Meghan checked me out without pressure or a judging look like I have previously experienced at other places. I actually felt good about paying! This was probably the most enjoyable ER visit, despite my pain issue, I have ever had. Thank you Cathy, Bill and Meghan! Y'all are awesome!

Immediately after entering the doors, a woman the front desk greeted us and asked us what brought us in. We both explained my symptoms and she had nicely asked me to put on a mask for precautionary measures. Filled out paperwork and was immediately brought to the back to a room. I had a nurse take my vitals and asked me for all my meds that I have been taking. He tested me for the flu and no less than 5 mins, results came back positive. A doctor saw me in between the 5 min wait and she was extremely helpful and nice. She was astonished how I was not treated properly at a physician's office that she was familiar with. Regardless, they gave me moltrin and started me on tamiflu and I was feeling better instantly. That was all it took with an additional $250 copay. So grateful for proper care, yet so broke.

The check in process was great, and the doctor who treated me was also wonderful. Unfortunately, my…read moreexperience with the nurse was extremely unpleasant. The nurse came across as very rude and dismissive throughout my visit. As someone who had never been to a hospital or an ER in the state of Texas, I was already nervous and I expected a basic level of empathy and compassion from the person caring for me. Instead, I felt like I was being treated as a burden. One thing that particularly concerned me was that I was not weighed. The nurse asked me what I weighed during what felt like a crucial moment, rather than obtaining an actual weight. I understand that patients may know their approximate weight, but I would have expected my weight to be checked, particularly if medication or treatment decisions could depend on an accurate weight. The bathroom experience was also disappointment. When I asked where the bathroom was, I was directed to one that had feces on the toilet seat. When I came back out and told the nurse, she initially told me that it was the only bathroom. Only after I explained that the bathroom was unsanitary did she tell me there was another bathroom on the other side. The doctor and check in staff were great, but unfortunately, the interaction with this nurse made an already stressful experience much more unpleasant. I hope the hospital takes this feedback seriously because patients coming to an ER are often scared, sick, or vulnerable, and compassionate treatment from nursing staff can make a significant difference

My spouse had surgery today, so I had to wake up extremely early. No coffee, I forgot my headphones at home, forgot to comb my hair, and honestly, to say I was overwhelmed would be an understatement. On top of everything, there was some miscommunication and I needed a little clarification. But Abby in Recovery/PACU, Nolan, Maggie, and Zach all went above and beyond and completely changed the direction of my day. Abby, I had the opportunity to watch you in your element, multitasking while also being on the phone with my doctor's office, trying to figure out my situation and make things easier for me. You were incredibly sweet, patient, and kind. And I have to mention those beautiful sisterlocks! You are definitely the woman for the job! Nolan, if you need someone to help you find your way, locate something, or get where you need to go, he is super persistent and helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and willingness to assist. Maggie, your cheerful personality and laughter truly made my day brighter. I watched you go from room to room, spreading joy while providing reassurance, guidance, and kindness. You even made sure to share a joke with each patient. Your warm smile and positive energy made a real difference. And Zach, you took such great care of us as well. From walking me to the waiting room and making sure I didn't get lost in the halls, to helping me when I went to retrieve my car you were there every step of the way. When I finally got to the front, Zach was already there waiting with my wife and a wheelchair. Then, just as I was about to pull off, my phone rang. It was Superwoman Maggie calling to let me know I had accidentally left my sweater behind! Not only did she remember the color, but she accurately described the sweater. And without hesitation, Zach volunteered to go back inside, retrieve it, and bring it out to my vehicle so I wouldn't have to walk all the way back inside. Imagine working an 8-12 hour shift, knowing you're still at the beginning of your day, and choosing to continue going above and beyond for a patient and their family. That kind of kindness means more than people realize. I truly hope these amazing individuals receive the recognition they deserve. They made me, as the family member of the patient, feel welcomed, cared for, and respected. And an extra-special KUDOS to Abby for running such a wonderful team. It takes a great leader to teach, guide, and lead a team by example and it shows. Thank you, Abby, Nolan, Maggie, and Zach, for making an incredibly stressful day so much better. HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, you have truly come such a long way, and I am genuinely proud to see the growth. Sometimes it's the smallest acts of kindness that people remember the longest. Today, these four people reminded me of that.

Emergency care is something, unfortunately, I have been the recipient of multiple times in my life. The service that I received here was severely lacking. The short version is that I went to Parkway ER with a broken tibia and fibula in my leg. - They sent me home with insufficient medicine to counter the excruciating pain, and told me to return the next day if I was still in pain and they'd prescribe something stronger, and not charge me for the visit. - I returned following morning after a sleepless night for stronger medication, was denied, and was charged for my 2nd visit. - The doctor on-call sent me to the hospital saying his "buddy" had to operate on me right away to repair my broken leg. His "buddy" doctor even wasn't at the hospital, and they couldn't perform surgery due to swelling. I spent the night needlessly in the hospital because they wouldn't release me without approval from the absent doctor. (If I had left without approval, insurance wouldn't have covered my stay.) - The "buddy" doctor did not have the capability of ordering the proper strength of pain medicine, luckily an orthopedic surgeon heard about my case, and made sure I had proper pain medicine administered by the nurses. There were many other issues regarding the competence of the Parkway ER staff, and I recommend going to another 24 hr ER clinic. While it was close proximity to my house, the suffering is not worth the convenience. I wish I could rate them zero stars due to the incompetence and pain I endured, but that is not an option on Yelp.
