The backyard was really nice as well although it was too hot to use it. Our host, Delesha, was extremely sweet and accommodating. I would definitely book this venue again for future events.

When I viewed the…read morespace to see if it would fit my needs the owner was very nice she let us know all the things that would come with our booking, chairs, tables, food warmers etc. We also discussed the pricing of $100 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours and the option of paying a deposit. Everything seemed great I decided to go with this venue as everything else was way out of our budget being first time young parents. I let her know I wanted to book 4 hours and sent the $300 "refundable" deposit. After this she said thank you then I did not here from her again until I messaged her to confirm the booking and make sure tables and chairs were in order 2 days before. At that point she called me and told me my balance was paid off and asked what tables I preferred and how many chairs. At the time I believed she was giving a discount as I found her through Peerspace but we did not use Peerspace so they wouldn't be taking a portion out. The day of she accommodated our needs and her son was there putting chairs out. The chairs were thrown outside sloppy all going different directions the tables were not the ones I asked for but everything was ok because they were so kind and helpful with everything else and it was a great price. When our reservation was over I called to let her know everything was clean and asked if there was anything else she needed from me she said no. I then sent her $100 as a thank you and because that was the original price we discussed although she said multiple times that "our balance was paid off". Serval hours later she called me and she sounded sketchy and off a vibe I had not gotten from her until this point. she asked if I sent more than $400 because her records only showed $400 I explained to her that she told me the balance was paid off at $300 and I sent the extra to show my gratitude she then said I owed another $100 for the cleaning fee that "my mother in law offered to pay it if I wanted to take her up on that" at this point I was almost in tears because of the stressful day I had and the high of it all going smooth and being over with to the low of feeling like I'm being scammed or tricked. She got an attitude very quickly referring to a contact I had not heard of up until this point. I never was given a contract or told about one the whole booking process was very relaxed and unprofessional looking back. I don't ever want to screw anyone over or not do the right thing so I paid the extra $100 but my last discussion with her was very shady and makes me sad because the experience started off great. I also spoke to my mother in law and she said the owner never mention anything about a $100 cleaning fee or anything about money. The actual space was ok but the owner is shady and I will never recommend this place. Pay the extra couple hundred as this place will probably try to get it out of you and overall they were not professional.

It was so nice to not have to worry about anything but getting the guest of honor to the party. This venue has ample parking, clean facilities and was centrally located. Today (2/1) was the day and everyone had a blast and the honoree was surprised! The venue was perfect suited for our needs and exceeded our expectations! I recommend this proprietor and her establishment a hundred times over!!

The communication from her was EXCELLENT, whether it was a response to a question that I had or a question she had, like how many chafing dishes would I need. There is plenty parking on site. When I got there, I was blown away!! She had taken care of EVERYTHING.....All I had to bring was the food, drinks, cake and treats.....EVERY table was decorated. My daughter had her own separate table with a nice elegant white chair and she even had a smaller chair for her 5-year-old daughter.....TOO CUTE!!!! There is a bonus because her 14-year-old son, Jace, is the in-house DJ, if you don't have your own. And let me tell you something, this young man has an out of this world playlist & he knows how to keep a party going. Whether you like R&B, rap, blues, old school, zydeco, etc..... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EVENT CENTER!!!!

Nestled in the historic and vibrant area known as "The Heights," it truly feels like a hidden gem. I chose this location for my husband's 40th birthday bash, and let me tell you, it was the best decision ever! With a Casino Royale James Bond theme, I wanted a venue that could deliver an exclusive vibe, and 1111 Studewood Place did not disappoint. My husband was completely surprised and in awe of the space, and it certainly wowed our guests! I've never received so many compliments during a party; everyone was thrilled by the beautiful details and had an absolute blast! A huge shoutout to Muyiwa, who is a complete professional! He attended to my every need and was a master at putting out fires before I even realized there was a problem. His connections with vendors made everything seamless--from catering and wait staff to casino tables, beverages, decorations, and luxury lounge seating. He offers these services as add-ons or can provide contact information, which took so much stress off my shoulders during the planning process. Oh and as so many others have mentioned parking, valet included! I did add a backdrop for some extra flair, but honestly, the venue is gorgeous on its own! The event was an absolute blast--we danced the night away and truly felt like we were in the movie Casino Royale. I wouldn't hesitate to host another event here; in fact, everyone at my party was so impressed that they immediately started planning their next event at this venue! The rooftop setup is fantastic, giving you the best of both worlds. If it rains, you still have a beautiful indoor space to enjoy. It's clear that this venue is thoughtfully designed, and my husband and his friends had the time of their lives. They even mentioned how jealous they were and wished their wives would plan something similar for them--so I think I earned the best wifey award! I highly recommend 1111 Studewood Place. Don't hesitate to book your event here; you'll definitely be the talk of the town!

I was an invited guest at an impossibly posh private event here and I was very impressed with the space inside with multiple rooms of upscale decor touches as well as the polite valets that were handling a large crowd efficiently and pleasantly out of doors. I don't know anything about this part of town. The trip down here had mild "first few moments of an episode of Criminal Minds" vibes as the uber driver was taking deserted, dark back alleys through heavily industrial and/or abandoned industrial areas. I was not sure if I was going to find myself carved into pieces and safely stowed in his freezer in what I imagined what would not be a very nice apartment at all or what. But then the abandoned warehouse rows finally parted and then you could see the super upscale looking joint kind of sticking out off in the distance with the bright glam lights and the valet boys hustling about the lot. I don't like large crowds, but if I had to be a part of a large crowd again I would do so in the handsome event space within. It is part industrial Brooklyn nightclub vibes with the wide open spaces and reverberatory noise, but part family bat mitzvah vibes that you could bring everyone and really make it family style for the whole evening. Perfect space for wearing that fancy hat in your life out of the house where you mingle with fancy people where you don't know half of them half as well as you should like; and like less than half of them half as well as they deserve.

I recommend getting there early when doors open at 5:30 PM, to save your table(s), especially if you have a large group, since it fills up quickly (including parking lot) because it's the place to be on a Thursday night. Their kitchen is currently closed, so you're allowed to bring your own food, which is fine. They do have concessions and a mini bar with sodas, water, beer, and seltzers too. My team already wants to go back, so we've started a bingo night tradition because of SPJST!
