I show up to the store promptly after and talk to the nice guys over there and I'm told they will get back to me on the issue within a day or two, and they did. A day or two later I was told there was nothing wrong with my drive and my computer did boot (which I already knew it booted but was absurdly slow). But I am told they ran tests on my drive and nothing came up and they came to the conclusion that my windows was corrupt and I simply needed to reinstall. I felt so relieved that I didn't have to worry about installing a new drive, so I procrastinated picking it up and I guess waited too long as I came home and reinstalled windows two times and wiped my drive as well, still to have my computer crash every so often and run super slow I paid a $45 diagnosis fee for something I had already thought to be true but wanted to make sure was correct, but instead was given little info on what they had done other than booted the computer and "tested the drive". I have not checked for bad sectors on the last drive, but I can assume that they ran no in-depth tests and instead just saw it boot and blue screen to tell me that windows was corrupted. TLDR: thought my hard drive was broken, but went to shop for reassurance, was told my hard drive was completely intact and I should just reinstall windows, then paid $45 for essentially the completely wrong diagnosis.
