JMC Quality Home Inspection is top notch. I would highly recommend JMC to anyone who needs a home…read moreinspector they can trust. Recently heard horror stories from friends about other Home Inspectors, so I went into my first home Inspection a bit skeptical. Joe who was my inspector a few days ago, made sure that I was informed about all of his findings. He didn't just point them out but also educated me on why it was a finding, how to monitor the finding, and also necessary repairs/replacements to request from the seller. After receiving my inspection reports (just a little over 24 hours after the physical inspection!) I was even more amazed by how thorough the report was. If this is your first home inspection or you just don't know what to look for, Joe and his team will make sure you do. Great service at a great price!

He performed a diligently detailed inspection of the 100+ year old home alongside my realtor, and called me immediately following to give me his high level thoughts. When I received the report, I was even more impressed. It grouped items into repair/replace, ongoing maintenance, and future improvements. He nicely incorporated technology to provide heat sensitive photos for the radiators and 360 degree photos of the whole home. Following, he's since entertained my husband and I's seemingly unending questions with grace and knowledge. Our realtor, who I assume sees this function all the time, noted that she is going to start referring clients to him because she was so impressed. Thank you, Joe!

He was tremendous in taking time to answer our questions -- how to fix something / does it need fixing / ballpark cost -- and never seemed annoyed that we were asking so many questions. He diligently went about his business checking exterior features, observing, poking, and prodding to find soft spots in the wood and taking pictures where appropriate. We continued inside, and he was just as diligent, taking time to inspect each aspect of our new home, from air/heat/electrical/plumbing/walls/oven/lighting/windows/attic/crawlspace/etc.. He also coordinated a wood-destroying insect (termite) inspection for us, as well as providing a radon test. Throughout the process, we felt informed and comfortable, knowing Neil was very detailed in his observations. We are grateful that he took more time than we expected and did such a thorough job. His follow-up report left us with an actionable plan, along with cost estimates for all of the things he noticed. Just like the inspection itself, the report was very thorough. We confidently recommend Neil and Inspections Unlimited if you're looking to get a home inspection.

My husband and I were in the process of buying our first home. Our realtor was the mom of my…read morehusband's best friend and she recommended Steve Beloyan to us. She described him as thorough and descriptive. Of course, we trusted her opinion and thus we trusted him to give us a full report as we wanted to buy an older house. On a positive note, his mold and well inspections were very helpful. Unfortunately, for the home inspection, our expectations were not met. We were concerned about cracks in the unfinished part of the basement and he did not express concern. We believed him when he said that our foundation was okay with the exception of some water damage. We since had remediation for mold and added a dehumidifier to our sub pump without further moisture issues. To be safe, we had a waterproofing/foundation company inspect the basement and we were shocked to learn we had stage 2 foundation concerns. The cracks had always been noticeable but as new homeowners we did not know the severity of what we were seeing. Now, as this occurred after we bought the house we have to bite a significant expense to repair the foundation. Had we known about the foundation issues prior to closing, we could have come up with an agreement with the sellers or not even have purchased the house! Yes, he mentioned the cracks in the grout and the water stains, and that a window wouldn't stay open but foundation issues are a massive deal. He didn't even mention the foundation cracks in the report. We obviously learned our lesson to never trust someone purely based on a personal recommendation. It seems like others had better experiences and I hope that for his future clients but if you use him please make sure that he inspects the major/costly issues !

First off you…read moremight notice if you speak to them at the office or read up on the company that Shane is the only inspector, this is not a corporate business - this means savings! Shane beat the prices of the two other inspectors I requested quotes from and I was even able to get the infrared imaging to check the walls for moisture and whatnot. The inspection itself was super thorough, the inspection report was also very detailed and you can see a sample report on his website of what you will be getting from him. You can even create a list of items using the website the report is on and it is very easy to do, which you can send to the seller to request to be fixed before you agree on the price. We ended up saving a lot of time and money by sending this list over to the seller. Shane really looked into every crevice of the home, and by walking around with him he gave us some very good advice about what will cost a lot to fix and should be done professionally, and what we could probably do ourselves very cheaply. He also gave us some information in general that would be nice to know about your new home, such as pointing out where the electrical panels and water shutoff valves are. We even got a little book at the end about being a home-owner and things you should know when you own a home. We had actually been able to view two inspection reports on the same home from previous buyers that fell through, and Shane's inspection report caught a lot more things than the other two reports. If for some reason we ever need an inspector in the future we know we will call Shane first.
